This is the A version which require permanent lock to hit targets Correct . ?

I hope so , and the Vietnam map . I think the DCS community is hungry for real time combat theaters . With Real life airframes not mis match mosh up .

I really hope this spotting issue gets sorted once and for all , We cant keep chasing this issue anymore its been going on for years , the community needs a STABLE game engine a stable platform . I think the way forward is Multiplayer but that has its problems too . We just need a stable platform to host from and everyone singing off same song sheet . My 2ct

This is very true 2023 . I'm flying online in very competitive server , few years back this F14 was feared with it's loadout . Now maybe two F14s on the server with Nearly all Phoenix missing it's targets. Now I know it's all about certain situations and chaff and jammer and ground and of course the enemy pilot evading ect. So what has happened. ??? .

Not using MT as it too buggy . I'm in ST . yes I would say 20% drop in frames and depends what's going on . . Is there any fixes coming to the F14 .

I really don't want to buy into that , the phantom is coming up and I really don't want to wait two years for bug fixes . No offense.

Hmm landing on runways if I just touch the breaks I skid off the runway. It's very odd . I can land any other airframe but landing this and applying abit of break makes Me skid off runway and some times flip onto wings . Is there a bug .

As per title. Also frame drop when both lantern and TID both in use . This is with VR as soon as lantern turned off frame rate returns back to normal.

I've been flying the F14 this week I've had this from preorder many years ago .The Phoenix would track its way to targets and score 80% but This week I've noticed as soon as I fire Phoenix jester looses track and can't regain it back . Nearly all Phoenix are missing targets Now this could be that they are evading very early on and getting into the weeds or maybe something is broken with jester and targeting after a patch . I'm hoping Heatblur keeps on top of the F14 with bug fixes . Any ideas .

Question Flying in VR the Petro aiming marker is very low compared to trackir and the sight it's self . Is they a way to move the aim mark up or down . Any ideas maybe in the lue files .

Or some of us will be having heart attacks . lol At the moment I've turned off the new spotting in options try it , But for me its still very hard to see contacts with my VR headset nearly at 4k Res . Ok I'm a bit disappointed with 2.9 latest patch . My frames have dropped down and no longer have good stable smooth VR performance like I did have . Anyone else noticed big frame rate drops. Lag and stuttering VR .

Hate to say it but other flight sims don't have a spotting problem. Some did have many years ago but they rectified it . And rectified it fast . Even today you can still play these sims on your 4k monitor and still see targets . Even VR works. What I'm saying here is DCS needs to find that technology that these other old sims use . As well as new sims . With all the lighting effects we have in dcs surely they can come up with something.

Thank you someone else getting lag spikes due to voice on server. I mentioned this few weeks back . Also Sunday night busy night for WWII server normally 50 + players , crashed twice hitting 40 player mark. Something not right with 2.9 .

Yes my VR fps have dropped to 23fps were before I had solid 36fps stable and smooth no motion sickness. Now motion sickness it back. Lol have you ever had a flash bag go off in front of you .

DCS is in a bit of a pickle then . It's a shame that ED have not kept up with the change in hardware and the new technology that has been thrown into PC gaming. The spotting debate has gone on for years in DCS . And I mean years .

Did you check your VRAM while running these settings. Running low textures and shadows will free up vram. Are you running MT.

What graphic card are you using. Are you in MT.

Yes just use exe drag shortcut too desktop. Forget MT . It's bugged . Something not right with loading objects taking up lots of memory. Multiplayer servers are crashing and stuttering if load too much . Few months back a 100 players on one server now crash at 40 players.

Is there not a option for server hosts to turn new spotting off . Before hosting so that every one is on same song sheet .

Try using single core exe . Seems to be better than MT . Jabbers did a good video on single core and mt .

When is the next patch coming for the F14 . Seems they are some bugs still . I've been fly this for nearly a week now . And definitely got bugs .

Is the gun sight lined up in the hud while in VR . Is it centered correctly. Mine seems off to the right even if I center headset . Still testing
