[REPORTED] Remove Objects Trigger Fault
Volator replied to crazyeddie's topic in Mission Editor Bugs
It appears that it is related to all objects that are NOT visible in the ME but are still there in-game. For example some of the super-large russian fuel trucks are visible in the ME and can be removed, see screenshot 1. Some are not visible in ME however, like one at Anapa, but in-game it's there and cannot be removed by a trigger, see screenshot 2 and 3. You can see that the smaller trucks are also not visible in ME and cannot be removed by a trigger. (I know in the last screenshot there is no trigger zone, I already deleted it as it simply wasn't working, as described by other users) -

Feedback Thread AJS-37 Viggen Update 8th June 2023
Volator replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Patches to certain modules are always included in the latest version of DCS, so if you update your (open beta) DCS, you got the module patches. -
reported Su-27 autopilot and trim
Volator replied to Volator's topic in Flaming Cliffs Bugs & Problems
@Flappie Can you take a look at this please? -
An even later reply: Have you updated the skins yet? I am looking for some authentic Swedish M2k skins as a stand-in for the JA-37...

Hello Mig 29 Rita And tone Not working properly
Volator replied to doggie_'s topic in Flaming Cliffs Bugs & Problems
In MiG-29/Su-27/Su-33 you only get a visual "LA" launch cue (in English cockpit) for heaters (and SARH), there has never been an aural tone - only in Longitudinal mode, as you describe correctly. -
With regards to the original question, you can create NDBs by placing units on the map, assign a frequency in the KHz area and make it transmit a message, preferably a morse code for the designation, as a loop. That should be receivable by the MiG-19 ARK. It has to be done by the mission designer though, so you probably won't see this on public servers. (Downside is that all FC3 aircraft in the mission will hear every single transmission at the same time, which quickly becomes unbearable)

It's not that bad. Somebody just haa to request take-off or report inbound and the lights go active; no big thing and a good way to deal with lights in-game I think
-
Like, even though - not 100% sure - pre 1991 there should not have been any patches at all on the flight suits.

correct as-is Radio Key"\" only works on ground
Volator replied to tusler's topic in Bugs and Problems
You need to assign a joystick button or a key to the pilot's PTT button, you will find it under "Cyclic" or "pilot stick" or similar. -
Yes.

As per title. The Mi-8 offers pilots to remove the pylons via the rearming menu. When you do that, the gunsight for the pilot gets removed automatically. This would be great for the Huey as well. Also, gunsights should only be installed if the frontal miniguns are installed. With gunners only, gunsights should be removed. (Best solution would of course be a proper Slick without external hardpoints, just properly installed M60s as requested many, many times here...)

Sling loading - English voice?
Volator replied to TasDozer's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Just like with the avionics settings, this would be great! -
Looks really promising!

I hope they release the SE already, then the hype can die down and Razbam can focus on the really cool jet - the MiG-23.

You are saying fuel consumption rate is way too high right with the new OB patch, right? I noticed this too, but on a crowded MP server, so track might be useless. Too bad, had a nice autorotation because of that incredibly high consumption rate.

fixed Nooo..What happened with the Huey Start Up Stability ?
Volator replied to Volator's topic in DCS: UH-1H
Wobble on start-up is gone with the latest OB patch. Finally! And it took only two and a half years. -
reported Huey's new performance profile discussion
Volator replied to Tim_Fragmagnet's topic in Bugs and Problems
Just did the first flight with the Huey, and this were my exact observations. I was going at 107 kts at 30 psi torque (old model gave me around 90 kts, which was very close to the performance a German Army Huey pilot once told me), while hovering IGE at the same weight required 40 psi, muuuuch more than before the patch. Because of this you also need much more left pedal on take-off. These are some serious changes. On the bright side, the stupidly excessive wobble on start-up is gone!- 96 replies

Number of Black Hawks produced: over 4.000 Number of Chinooks produced: about 1.200 Apart from the fact that they are very different aircraft and hardly comparable, I'd say the UH-60 is pretty well-accepted all over the world, and far from being an aircraft only pushed on other countries as military aid. It's also an icon thanks to some events in Somalia and a movie about that, so yeah, I'm with Kev2go, I expected a Black Hawk first, too - that being if ED ever decided to do another utility helicopter at all. I feared it would not happen again in DCS and thought the Huey and the Hip were only possible because that was ten years ago and some dedicated devs with a personal bond to those helicopters simply wanted them in DCS. Nowadays the DCS community has a loud group of people shouting "If it ain't shootin' and kickin' ass, I ain't buyin'!!!", which I thought would make mundane utility helicopters or even a C-130 unattractive. I'm happy that my fears did not come true.

Complete Transport and Logistics Deployment - CTLD
Volator replied to Ciribob's topic in Scripting Tips, Tricks & Issues
ADF homing for beacons on VHF or HF (FM radio) hasn't been working for me neither in the Huey nor in the Hip for quite some time now. Did anyone notice that as well? ***Edit*** Solved thanks to Ciribob, servers need to have beacon.ogg installed, otherwise no reception for ADF. -
When using the autopilot, e.g. attitude hold mode in the Flanker, shouldn't it give you a more or less trimmed aircraft when you deactivate the autopilot? In its current state, autopilot deactivation can cause radical attitude changes as the autopilot either doesn't use trim at all to maintain a certain flight regime, or it reverts to the trim settings before autopilot activation. My understanding from (western) real-world aircraft is that AP uses trim to maintain attitude and the a/c will therefore maintain a commanded attitude when you deactivate the AP.

Sorry for straying off-topic, but last thing I heard was this idea was dead. Did that change, any new information I missed? Just asking because I'm dying for a full-fidelity MiG-29. Totally agree with the rest on topic.
