  1. Yes, but you'll have a warning of disabled module every time you start the client.
  2. You can run your client in server mode, no additional installation required.
  6. Run the updater and tell to install the map DCS_updater.exe install SINAIMAP_terrain
  7. I'm not sure what is it, but definitely start to disable the following scripts since it's causing lot of error C:\Users\user\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts/TheWay.lua
  8. You can run LotATC Client from a computer that doesn't have full DCS Client installed on it. ( it was born for that ) Not sure about the example that you've made, but in general I don't recommend to run DCS server + LotATC server + LotATC client from the same machine to be honest, leave the server "free" as much as possible, so don't use a GUI program like LotATC from the server. In terms of license, LotATC Client ( €25.00 ) is enough, you don't need advanced.
  9. Is correct, scripts will be executed on server side only, so when you de-sanitize a server potentially only the server filesystem is exposed. I've mentioned in my previous post: "or even worst your client" because on DCS is pretty common use client to host a mission to be flown with a couple of friends.
  11. Simply don't leave the same mission/server open for this long time-span, make a restart at least once for days and it will be fine. Our squadron private mission make one restart for a days and it's totally reliable, while other public servers restart every 6 hours.
  12. You're looking in the wrong place. If you've the icon on the desktop to start the server, right click on it and click on Open file location
  13. This is true only for new modular server installation, sinai i.e. requires only 35GB On all other server type ( full client or "old" dedicated ) Sinai will use 55GB of disk space. open an explorer window and navigate to the bin folder of your DCS installation: Put your cursor in the address bar and type cmd and hit enter on your keyboard. A prompt will open. Copy there the string: DCS_updater.exe install SINAIMAP_terrain and hit enter on keyboard
  17. Since these four dashes will expose servers or even worst your client to malicious code execution. If you have de-sanitize mission environment, it's technically possible to look up your drive, and send all the files through socket connection over the internet.
  18. What you can't do is use regular Windows 10/11 to host a software and delivery that software by Citrix/RemoteApp or any other streaming/sharing tech. Run DCS application to host a DCS server is totally compliant with the EULA, since you're not sharing that software itself with the final users.
  19. attach the DCS.log file that you find under saved games folder, only in this way we can help you to find the problem of crash. BTW I think it's not related to the other problem. This is really strange, are you going in multiplayer => new server => adding the mission that you want to play to the mission list, and then start? Please attach the log also after you have loaded the server to understand if something goes wrong.
  21. checking the old log history I have some of them, but just in the instances that is running the "newest" mission, so I guess it's related to some recent added callsign, but not related to VAICOM, but just to the core server itself, so probably yes something related to the ATC when try to use new callsign.
  22. it looks like it's related to the VAICOM add-on? isn't it? As far as I know, nothing changed yesterday, maybe you've just got on a mission where the new callsign are used, and they are not yet supported in VAICOM.
  23. Didn't notice the edit in fact sorry, thanks for reminder. You don't have to worry about the Outbound Rules in the 99% of the case, by default outgoing traffic is always enabled. So yes, you're right, you need to add port only in the Inbound Rules section of the windows firewall. It works in the same way as server when you host a mission from your installation in terms of communication, and firewall/router settings that you need to apply
  24. From log I can see you have Tacview installed, try to disable the recording on your side and see if you have some benefits.
  25. I have several instance running on my server, not just one, that's why I'm using a range instead of single port. If you're running just one instance, one port ( default is 10308 but you can change it) on both protocol ( TCP and UDP ) it's fine
