  1. Agreed, with head-tracking lean in and the graphics these days, a realistically modeled kneeboard or two would be a great add to the sim. The fighter pilots I served with usually had a checklist on one leg and the data card or a map on the other.
  2. This might be the wrong wishlist area but what does everyone thing about having the option for a left and right leg checklist? https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/attachments/commercial-vehicles/1912818d1567657168-combat-aircraft-indian-air-force-kneeboard.jpg
  3. Or a Yak 3 for sure...good suggestion!
  4. Dudley, you would think that there was Alien Technology passed down to ED and partners in the past couple of years, ehy?
  5. It probably came off in flight...write it up in the forms and have maintenance check it when you shut down at base.
  6. Wonder if the server had Easy Communication turned off...that's how we run ours and you have to use the modifiers with the \ key to transmit on either radio 1 (Right ALT) and radio 2 (Right CTRL) to get it to work...but sounds like that wasn't the issue.
  7. Did you make sure your speed and altitude was adequate?
  8. I would check out DCS Debrief...way better than Growling Sidewinder! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCERjcJzbzHmoBVPJpqn9RjQ
  9. What's the Regulations say about over-water flights at night?
  10. Greetings all, Today is January 31st and that means that tomorrow starts my February Fighter Pilot Mustache Challenge...just for fun! Try not to cheat, but you'll see in this video here that I have posted a video showing my slick and clean face and will grow out a mustache over the next 29 days. My YouTube page will feature another video on March 1st where everyone can post a link to their mustache video or picture. Honor system rules in place, so have fun and share with your friends. Lady fighter pilots get creative, you're invited too! Cheers :pilotfly: =JUICE=
  11. You can also fix this real time in game and save it permanently...here's a video on it.
  12. Although I am no Pro, I started my YouTube Fly Like A Pro series to talk about the mundane normality of airfield operations such as you described. I am hoping to meet other pilots who have "touched the mission" and fly like we saw it everyday in our USAF (or other military branch) careers! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdz6fNb-V-h2iZ_daWNoaTQ This is not a channel where I profess to get it right, but instead it's open for others to share and contribute where they would like...hit me up on Discord if you'd like to be a guest speaker in an upcoming episode...cheers,
  13. Easy Peasy! @Dietrich, I bet the guys in the HUMVEE were scared to death the entire time they were refueling!
  14. Climb to altitude as TCN ranges are affected by LOS and distance. You may have to reset it occasionally. You can also select a different TCN station closer to you and fly off of a radial and adjust to pass that station at the right change rate and distance to head to your true destination airfield. Once you are high enough and close enough, switch to the desired TCN station for VFR Direct. Also, you should always know where you are and what your emergency heading would be to get home.
  15. 1) If you edit the core code in the game files, you will have to copy that LUA back to the folder after each DCS update unless you have a GME program to fix it. 2) That DDI is realistically presenting advisories and is designed the way it is in order to do just that. Remember way back when, Wags suggested in one of his videos to not place the HSI (or any other important information page) on the left DDI for this reason. You can use that DDI for graphical data with minimal impact and for that, the Right DDI and Center AMPCD units for important textual display. I personally use the left screen for Attack Radar only.
  16. Isn't the F-14 a Popsicle...all the ones in the real world are either on Sticks, in the Boneyard or in IRAN awaiting US Destruction?
  17. Tango 777, that you buddy?
  18. What he said! ^^^ FC3 is sub-par to the other Advanced Flight Model aircraft. Get a real fighter and learn it well. I would love to see the FC3 aircraft all upgraded to AFM capable fighters over the PFM basic.

    Easy refueling

I have friends whom have felt the same way about hard refueling...and once they go up with an instructor to coach them, all is well...and they get it! I remember this from a post in Hoggit quite a few years back, "don't death-grip the flight control, but instead, fingertip pressure on the stick and no rudders!"
  20. My buddy ThRud made corrections to my Lua and it would be great to have all the Client side choices save totally to the Saved Games Folder so we don't have to use Generic MOD Enabler Programs to keep custom settings like Lua edits from being replaced with each DCS Update. @ LeCuvier, I Totally Agree, ED should look at full transition to the Saved Games folder for any settings we save and reduce the need to retrieve data from game folder files except for the common core basic information.
  21. When you head over to Windows 10, be sure to do much research on removing the crap and spyware within the OS...it's not that hard and surely worth it. Keeps unwanted software from auto-reinstalling on it. I used C-Cleaner to successfully and permanently remove unwanted features from Windows 10...Good Luck!
  22. +1:pilotfly: It would also be great if we could have two kneeboard options like the video also shows...one for each leg.
  23. We really need two-seat trainers that actually work like real dual-control primary flight training aircraft. I'd say a few of them from US, USSR, UK, and others. My vote is the AT-6 Texan II which is not the EMB 314 although they look similar. Oh, and the OV-10 Bronco
  24. AMEN TO THAT! Got your Green Feet on?
