  1. Flappie is stating the LRLS light cannot be seen during the day because it is a laser, which is false. This is what I was referring to, and this subject is not even DCS-related. As for the rest - may I suggest asking your SMEs before you ask us to search the internet for that one very specific frame in a video that will prove us right? A subject matter expert can easily tell you if the system is on during the day, and how easy it is to spot during the night.
  2. I don't need footage to prove you wrong. You said, and I quote: "The LRLS system is not supposed to be visible in daylight, for it is a laser". As I said, being a laser has nothing to do with it. I don't need a document or a video to prove laser can be visible during the day. Can you spot it from miles away during the day? who knows. If it's on, it's visible, even during the day.
  3. It's very very hard to notice it even at night, which is the problem. Also being a laser has nothing to do with day/night visibility.
  4. That can't be the solution to every DCS-related problem we are facing, and honestly, that statement is very weak. I accept the drawbacks of EA and SAS modern gaming industry leans towards, however, I choose to criticize the developer's decision to NOT patch the terrain until they are done with phase three update, which is planned for December.
  5. Maybe, but I don't care. I paid money for this module, and they had PLENTY of time to push those hotfixes. There's no excuse. The map was released 4 months ago. It had zero updates. Zero bugfixes. Now I know to avoid OnRe as a dev in the future.
  6. Hot fixes should not take too long to implement. In my opinion, it's odd that you have not addressed the serious issues and tied them to phase three, which will come when... December? Come on, OnReTech - you can do better than that.
  7. ED has done nothing to support these claims. This module seems very SP-oriented (ATC alone should prove this point). How many virtual squadrons are testing your upcoming SC changes?
  8. Are we waiting for phase 3 to get those bug fixes? Can we at least get a hotfix to the BE location?
  9. I click on the menu using my mouse. Still, a radial menu approach is probably the worst. It works for the tomcat because the menu is very specific, but don't forget the game lets you add menus and submenus yourself, which will probably not be a good fit to the radial menu system.
  10. A change? Definitely. A radial system? Not the way to go here. The menu has too many submenus for that to be even remotely user friendly.
  11. I have massive amounts of respect for the development team, but just like with the night equipment - get the basics first, and then take care of the extras. A specific WP command that allows the carrier to turn into the wind should have been there as a day-one feature. I am sure you agree with that. Most of us would appreciate those additions more than the elevators or ready room. Additionally, what's the purpose of developing this complex deck crew routine if you don't allow us to select custom spawn locations for aircraft, disable cats or support more than 12 jets on deck? I mean, it is really pointless. The ATC doesn't even want to cooperate with me and my friends flying in MP. If we can't get it to get us back to the ship, why should we care about a system that helps us park or taxi?
  12. You are correct. One can be grateful for a product and also voice concerns (which is what people around here seem to forget). The fact that the carrier can not even turn into the wind without a script at this point is embracing, and I didn't even mention the fact that the ATC doesn't work well at all in MP, and nothing will change that. As a paying costumer, you are allowed to seek answers.
  13. Any news on this? There was no hotfix since the release, and I was wondering if you plan to include this fix as a part of a bigger update (which is strange if you ask me).
  14. I think fairness should not be a part of it. It's business. If ED can make it and sell it, then they might do it in the coming years. We are not even sure if they can make the earliest production version of the Rhino (which should have more or less the same capabilities as the legacy hornet we have in-game). Oh, and they have to get their hornet out of EA first
  15. Hit F9 and look at it closely. I don't think it's that visible from the cockpit during the day in DCS.
  16. Awesome! A small question if I may.. I noticed late-activated groups of naval vessels are exported to Tacview, even if they are not activated during the mission. Is there something I can do to prevent this?
  17. 6.5 NM to be exact, and you are right it should be closer to 10nm.

  19. latest OB, MT - and it works. It was recently fixed.
  20. I have a very small dead zone as a result of this. It does nothing to my flying other than guarantee the engagement of the AP when I need it.
  21. That's not a very good reason to update it. The 3d team moved to bigger and better things, and a completely new model can be expected only as a part of a paid update, which is not due anytime soon.
  22. ED will probably only adjust their liveries. This description.lua change is a good one since the old one was a complete mess. Livery makers will have to fix their liveries. This is just a part of EA and not the first time it happens.
  23. I'm not 100% sure on this one, but I remember ED sharing that they have to get Vulcan implemented first, before the briefing room becomes a reality in DCS.
  24. I don't know if that's technically a bug. ED changes the names for some of those variables, so livery makers have to adjust their liveries
  25. First of all, I used radios in real life that have the function. Now as for mods, we can't mod this part of the game yet. This is why I asked ED to add this as an option. I didn't tie myself to realism. If you want a different cockpit texture just make one yourself. Please, do not derail this thread, thanks!
