cannot repoduce and missing track file two question about ACLS
BarTzi replied to ivo's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
It sometimes works and sometimes does not (some people will get the entire ACLS comms sequence and others might not). I still can't count on the ATC for holding altitudes. It sometimes assigns two pilots the same holding altitude for a reason that is unclear to me. -
We all are (except the usual white knights). I don't know why there was no hotfix. I don't think it's a good sign, especially for a new third party dev. Is that the first impression they want to make on the community?
-
The official news we got is that they planned their next update for December.
-
Can you give us an ETA on this and the BE bug? I get your plans for phase three, but seriously now, what makes you think your product needs no hotfix?
-
And yet, Afghanistan is in development. I don't think anyone would voluntarily fly over 500nm to the AO in a video game, so it won't have sea.
-
Yes, they already made the NTTR, and are planning to make Afghanistan. Not all maps have to have large bodies of water, and even in my suggestion, you will still have a small part of the Persian Gulf which will allow carriers to be placed.
-
That's extremely optimistic. In my opinion, you should crop everything south of Kuwait and east of Isfahan for a more realistic depiction of what it will eventually be like.
-
I never said anything about DCS being unplayable, but the fact that you can not use BE on this map without manually editing the BE location in the mission file is a major bug.
-
It is synced when the group is pre-set in the ME. Should we be able to achieve the same result for planes that are not grouped by the mission editor (just theoretically, I know it's probably not implemented yet)?
-
When I assign a nearby Hornet driver as a team member, it seems like the change to the team's structure is only local (he gets the letter B on my end, but I don't appear as A on his end). Should it sync?

Regarding the "SET CARRIER LIGHT MODE" trigger
BarTzi replied to Northstar98's topic in Bugs and Problems
Added to the API means it can be accessed via scripting commands. Seems like this is not the case.- 18 replies

Your post is not related to this thread. Carrier ATC is part of the Supercarrier module.
-
What we know now is that the ready room and the airboss station require additions to the sim in the form of Vulkan API. If anything else is required for ATC additions, letting the carrier turn into the wind, or ATC MP compatibility, just let us know so we won't have those discussions over and over again.

This is very much the story of this module. So many important features are missing, yet all we hear about are the plane directors nobody should care about anyways.
-
Ralfidude talks about it in his video. I'm not 100% sure it works as described, but it should take the canopy into account. It's not like Siribob develops those specific features out if thin air. Siribob saw it being developed for the DCS VOIP, and implemented the same feature in SRS.

ero_revetment_platform1.zip @AvgeekJoe @norman99 Here's the example of how a livery should be made for the unit @Valium used. The livery is called "green", and is selectable in the game when you place the object. The installation is similar to every other skin (unzip into your saved games \ liveries. Should be: Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\ero_revetment_platform1). Given more textures and permission from the author, this can be inserted into the mod folder itself as an update.
-
+1 should have been there since VOIP was added.
-
You don't need help, it's intended.
-
It does not have the tint effect but it dows show/ hide the HMD, so it does "work".

Both were reported more than a year ago. Sadly, no news on that front.
