  1. Hey folks, according to RC2, the KONTROLL test button on the right side panel tests the Landing gear indicator. What is the test really doing then, or its purpose? So far I cannot make out any difference of these indications once the test button is pushed in. During cold start, and once battery was turned ON, the three green landing gear indicators on the left warning panel are illuminated anyway. Thanks & kind regards, TOViper
  2. Update 2.7.17.29493: .) SYRGAS and OLJETRYCK meanwhile work satisfactorily > OK! .) The FÄLLD LAST still is not illuminated during the KONTR LAMPT ABLÅ lamp test when starting cold. Funny part is, that once the engine was started at least 1 time and then turned off, the test then works! Seems like the initialization of this light is not correct or something similar ....
  3. Do I guess right that the TIPPVÄXEL switch (AUT/LANDN) is currently not working/implemented? Or is the red warning TIPPVÄXEL just not working?
  4. According to RC2 manual page 46, the AFK FEL warning indication should illuminate once the AFK was manually disconnected using the AFK disconnect button on the throttle. This isn't currently working in OB 2.7.17.29493. Furthermore, this light doesn't come on once the right main landing gear becomes depressed after touchdown when AFK was used until touchdown.
  5. Hey folks! According to RC2, the cabin pressure indicator shows "the current cabin pressure". Actually in DCS, the pointer behaves like a "delta pressure indicator" and shows the pressure difference between cockpit and atmosphere: .) It shows 0 on ground (no pressure difference) > seems fine .) From 0 to ~2440m the pointer stays at zero, which means the pressure in the cockpit is the same as outside > seems fine .) At ~2440m it starts increasing until finally resting at some ~0.22kp/cm² (which is 0.22 bar) , and stays there during the continued climb (e.g. climb to 6000m) > OK, since SFI says above 5000m it should read ~ 0.20 - 024 ... so seems fine .) When removing the canopy from the aircraft in 6000m, the indicator jumps back to 0 > seems fine Assuming the indicator is modeled correctly as a "delta pressure indicator" (which the SFI also doesn't mention in the "non-hemlig" sections ), the RC2 manual on page 40 should be changed accordingly saying something like "Indicates the current cabin differential pressure.". This issue is currently not listed in the AJS-37 Viggen RC2 manual review 2018-01-29.xlsx, which collects all currently known issues of the RC2.
  6. Great news, and thanks for the quick update & answers!
  7. I still have this problem in OB 2.7.17.29493 What I did in the 1st step: .) Installed new graphic driver NVIDIA 516.94 (GameReady), performed clean installation .) Deleted fxo and metashaders 2 .) Kept only F-16 and Caucasus Mods in the game folder .) Removed all user mods from userprofile (A-4) .) Used default NVIDIA settings with no success .) Used my usual NVIDIA settings with no success 2nd step: .) DCS Repair with Check all files > slow and check for extra files (removed any if they were present) .) Deleted fxo and metashaders again Still no luck. Attached find: .) Screenshots of NVIDIA settings (3 pages) .) Screenshot of cockpit situation .) config.lua .) dcs.log What else can I do. I am out of any ideas ... Thank you! options.lua dcs.log
  8. Did a repair & clean-up, but problem still exists.
  9. For creating very simple scenes (e.g. F2, F3 views), in the past I helped myself stabilizing the aircraft using the autopilot right after lift off (or even before I sometimes used ATT) and flying the aircraft as much as possible using autopilot. Anyway, this doesn't solve the many other problems that come up, e.g. when you want to show maneuvering or attacking ... unfortunately "It is sad, but true,..."
  10. I use my monitor for starting up Windows and performing two steps: First step: start Oculus Dash and Teamspeak (for meeting my buddies) Second: click DCS icon to start over in VR mode Never in 30 years of playing flying sims I had the feeling "I am there". In DCS using VR I have this feeling. That's all. I can forget about some graphic details as long I have 45 (or even 90) in my Rift CV1. One drawback, if any: If DCS starts stuttering (or even performing slideshows for seconds) in Buddyspike, I feel the need to switch over to the MiG-21 and throw nuclear weapons ...
  11. The new cockpit looks great. One thing I noticed yesterday flying version 1.8.0: The frame rate drops hardly once I switch on the MAIN power switch. Is this related to the displays or the systems running in the background? I wasn't able to figure out, since the displays cannot be turned off on their own ...
  12. Or he maybe engaged it in the transonic regime? FL350 means he had to fly at higher sub-sonic Machnumber to keep her up flying ...
  13. Maybe. Fact is, that in the current Litening targeting pod modeled for the bl.52 with OB2.7.16.28157 the IR-pointer is still not available.
  14. Works like a charm now (OB 2.7.16.28157)! Cold & Hot Cold on ground & hot on ground SP & MP Thanks!
  15. So for the F-16C Bl 52 someone has already done this? Following your statements, it makes me think we have the DCS F-16 Viper module ("radar system, weapons systems, FM etc") because of that, don't we?
  16. @MYSE1234, are your mods eventually landing in the DCS module (either as defaults where applicable or selectable via SPECIAL settings tab)?
  17. It's the small details that often create a big smile upon our faces. This gives us the feeling that it was made with love. WHICH IS IMPORTANT! The Viggen (and HB's implemenation of this particular aircraft) is a blast. But not to forget the Cat, which is a blast too, just bigger ... in everything. Hm ... what's was the name of the company? It must be ... Heatbl..ast or something, .... ?
  18. I have the same problem, currently flying in VR. I had this problem a few months before too. I have no TRK file, since the session today took nearly 5 hours. edit August 30th: this happens when flying on a screen as well, not only in VR. options.lua
  19. Doesn't seem to be off by 1 anymore. Currently using OB 2.7.15.26783.
  20. COLD start was the thing I was trying. Can you put it to the list of open items in order to have this function to work with COLD starts as well?
  21. The ammo truck M818 doesn't exist anymore obviously. @Cobra847: is this feature abandoned forever?
  22. Regarding the action "SAS mode SPAK flight stabilizer": In the real aircraft, does this action turn OFF the SPAK or does it just cancel the ATT or HÖJD if they (or one of them) were (was) engaged? In DCS this action at first activation disables any ATT or HÖJD, and at second activation it turns off SPAK. According to Goblin's post I assume it is wrong behaviour in DCS.
  23. @Cobra847 do you have this function still on your radar?
  24. Question 1: "SNURK" is the "Autopilot disconnect" button described in RC2 on page 22 ? Question 2: Is - or should - this button be mapped to the action in the controls-setup "Autopilot quick disengage"? I guess so ... As a Warthog user I found out the following a few minutes ago (how could I have overseen this for years ... The grey-colored "Flaps" 3-position switch on the most left side of the throttle base can be used pretty fine for actions "Autopilot HÖJD/ATT" (forward) and action "Autopilot SPAK/ATT" (rearward) pretty fine. This eliminates some of the difficulties in mapping switches and buttons. I am not a cockpit-mouse-clicker-type-pilot, I use more the controls ... just because otherwise they became unused
  25. Wow, thanks for this update. Still can't wait for the next update that is downloadable!
