  1. R3 Lighting, rather simple imho. If you just want to use the plug and play, it is easy. If you want to use target still, you will need to take the pieces out of the hawg. I went the plug and play option.
  2. Verify your AAR door is closed, either by looking at the switch on the fuel panel, or checking the right indexer lights, to the right side of the HUD. If you see the blue NWS while in the air, your door is opened. This means the aircraft is in landing gains, and will be sluggish...yes this is modeled. I have the FSSB and the jet is pretty snappy especially in the roll axis.
  3. I could be wrong, but the 1024 every frame is not for cockpit textures, but the displays? I don’t see that and my value is definitely lower than 1024.
  4. The aircraft in the mishap did NOT have the AGCAS installed even the article said that...
  5. Is there a space between ” -- ? Hard to see based on forum code.
  6. You should feel that with the FSSB, I know I do but each person is going to feel a little different.
  7. Close but not quite, the real stick moves ever so slightly, where as the FSSB doesn't move at all. I do like it regardless, money well spent, definitely getting my money out of it flying the viper. I do like the fact that the FSSB R3 Lighting is stand-alone, you don't need to take apart your Warthog to use it, unless you want to use Target. So I have the TMWH stick base center mounted for Hawg and Hornet, and the FSSB is side mounted for the Viper. I have the r3 lighting, prior to that I had the r2 for the cougar. I however can not fly other aircraft with it, need a movable stick for the Hornet and Hawg, etc. If the amount is discouraging, then perhaps it isn't for you. However go check out the controllers section of the forums, there are many more users who have it, but may not frequent the Viper controller section. I will say that is well built and RealSimulator team does stand behind their products.
  8. Easy to manipulate, because the logbook file is editable. Besides a new pilot is tested in the centrifuge prior to getting through their complete training. ED needs to rework their code to fix the black outs at 7Gs.
  9. Not a bug, you need to align manually. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3995367&postcount=30
  10. Did you map the left and right brake under the axis options? Second did you invert the axis? If you didn't invert, the brakes will work in reverse, on when you don't want them, and off when you apply brake pressure.
  11. IIRC the RWR is placeholder sounds from the Hornet.
  12. The proper wishlist item is to fix the pilots inability to withstand more than 7Gs. Our game blacks out way too quick and too frequent.
  13. I know, I’m agreeing with you. Definitely shouldn’t be labeled [No bug].
  14. GND JETT just tells the aircraft to ignore the weight on wheels. It simulates the aircraft as if it is in the air.
  15. C/L fuel tank not modeled.
  16. I think they modeled the light that is in the cockpit, and mislabeled it as the flashlight. I hope we get a pen light or finger light soon. Night lighting is very sub par, so it would help to have an additional option.
  17. For whatever reason the flashlight in the Viper is tied to the battery. Would be super nice if they gave us a penlight which I believe is what the Hornet has. I know you don’t need electrical power in the hornet to turn it on...
  18. Cockpit builders use that view because they don’t need the cockpit around them...they’re sitting in it.
  19. You can easily change between the builds with a simple command prompt. Don't need dual installs. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030
  20. Great to hear some experience drivers had some time with the Viper. Even better when they can point out the issues the viper currently has. Hope to see more new faces on the boards and in the skies. Thanks for sharing the experience with others.
  21. What I do is start oculus via OTT (Oculus Tray Tools), launch Steam and start SteamVR, load the VRK app, and then click DCS shortcut icon that forces SteamVR with the launch parameters.
  22. Oculus will launch regardless, I believe it is a prerequisite for steamvr. Or at least that has been my experience with it. Never used it before, until I discovered this mod. When I would press the oculus button on my right controller, it would take me to a steamvr instead of the normal oculus home while I was in dcs. Do you get the same?
  23. It honestly sounds like DCS isn't truly opening in Steam VR. I'm not near my flight PC, but I think I only use the --force_steam_VR in my shortcut. If you have both try taking the first one out "--force_VR".
  24. Ah I run 1.7PD, big difference from 1.0.
