  1. Question before I submit a bug report. With JHMCS enabled, and the HUD REJ mode enabled, should the data in JHMCS up date? For example, I selected REJ and my MACH number in the JHMCS stayed frozen at the value at the time I switched HUD to REJ. The speed and altitude functioned as expected, but the miscellaneous data did not.
  2. I think what you're seeing is a video where Wags has a wider FOV for the 2D monitor. Just from my experience switching between 2d and VR, I see this often. Where I'm a little far from the front console (in hornet or hawg) while in 2d, but feel right at home in the VR.
  3. It is because Steam has a "release" date, which I think without looking is the 25th. So everyone thinks that it will be that week.
  4. OUCH  Thankfully I only melted the covers...
  5. ...and on the ground if the NLG WOW isn't properly in contact...ask me how I know.
  6. Before CCIP you would be correct. After CCIP they closed the gap differences in the blocks. See the post: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4014333&postcount=11
  7. VR is really where cockpits really show their true depth. You can’t really capture that on a 2D screen.
  8. Use very little roll input in close, since the probe is off center line, you are changing the probes path to the drogue with a roll input. If you need lateral adjustment, a slight boot of rudder is better than rolling. Also relax, by tensing up, you're transferring that tension to the stick and throttle and losing the small inputs you wanted. Wiggling your toes tends to help fight the tension. As everyone else has said, practice, practice, practice. However, don't over do it, set up a mission where you're in trail and try to connect a few times. If you fail, fly away and do something else. Repeat. Also watch out for the wake turbulence, come in slightly low of the wings and stay there once connected. I personally do not use autopilot, nor do I have any curves in the stick axis.
  9. They are very light, flew it a few times from the backseat (not a pilot). Didn't take much effort to move the jet, hell I accidentally kicked the rudder during the base turn to final. Gave the pilot a little surprise. :pilotfly: Couldn't feel the rudder pedal, it was that light of an action. Moving the stick for aerobatics was simple light pressure, but when you wanted to pull some G's well you better increase the strength in the pull. :joystick:
  10. Odd as that isn’t my result. I flipped INS to NAV, and the radar was in stby when I did a Wpt update. You may need a repair, as radar should have no affect on the INS update.
  11. Can someone tell me what aircraft configuration, and airport this is being evaluated on? I want to go test this, because something doesn't add up. On a field landing, I never touch the wheel brakes, the jet slows down and can make a safe runway exit at the departure end. Not saying one is right or wrong, but I need to test this to fully understand the problem.
  12. It can only be a chin mount, no other option.
  13. By deleting the defaults, doesn't really fix the underlying issue. The third MFD is showing as MFD2 instead of MFD3 in windows controller page. So the computer thinks you have two MFD2 and one MFD1. Not an issue with DCS, since we can map around it with the unique IDs.
  14. Another method is to grab the latest drivers, and tell the mfd that it is the third one. Without the latest drivers, the limit was only two mfds. I did a quick video demonstrating this a few months back.
  15. I fly on the same server as Emmy, and when I'm -2 in the Hawg with a 10 or 20 second delay I feel the wake turbulence and it is quite a surprise. It is even sportier in the Hornet, on several occasions I thought I was going to have a wing strike. :D As an example on my takeoff here in the Hornet:
  16. On the ground with weight on wheels, it does NWS. In the air in AA master mode it is missile step. During AAR it will command a disconnect from the boom.
  17. Working both desktop and vr but I'm a Oculus user. Same, unable to get pages working. Launches fine, just doesn't create any pages, and when user created files, no joy as well.
  18. I think you can follow this thread to get results. Guess it depends on whether HB mirrored standard file structure like ED. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=185677
  19. ED modeled the LOT20 USN F/A-18C Hornet, not an international variant.
  20. IIRC Navy only carries single MAV per pylon.
  21. Current configuration, for use in VR and non-VR.
  22. Sounds like TACAN to me?
  23. I'm not exactly sure what the trackhat wired clip is. If it the hat clip for the tir, then continue reading. From my experience going from hat clip to the pro clip, the occasional sunlight bleed into the room didn't have any affects on the tracking, and I didn't need to wear a hat when flying, racing, etc.
  24. Great idea, if you haven't maybe a post on reddit /r/hotas for wider audience.
  25. DCS
