  1. I’ll do it later today or tomorrow. I’ll provide screen grabs of NCP, DCS, and OTT and anything else anyone asks for.
  2. Just got things looking good again. Seems deleting the shaders corrected the issue. My in game IPD is 63.5, using 1.7 PD with a forced OTT 1.3 modifier. Yes, I do wear glasses, thinking about getting the inserts myself. I just hate eye exams torture, need a new Rx for inserts.
  3. ***UPDATE*** All is better, deleted the shaders or what ever they are called in the fx folders in SG. I am using the S (hadn't updated the signature), and it is too fuzzy to make out. Although I kind of know where things are for the most part. MFDs may be tiny but they are not that hard to read IRL, I didn't need to plant my face on the MFD to read when I had some inflight seat time. Seat pan is usually about or just slightly above the consoles but of course in an 30° angle. So the aft is slightly below, the front being slightly above...for a 6' giant like me with a fist gap to the canopy.
  4. As someone who has spent a lot of time in the real jet, I feel like the VR is pretty spot on. Not too big, not too small, scale feels right at home. My issue at the moment, is I can't read anything at all. The text is just too blurry on all consoles. The MFDs are impossible to read at the moment too.
  5. With cleared sync option, I also have to cycle the throttle. Just get in a habit of cycling the throttle prior to engine start sequence and all will be well. This is in every module of DCS, not just the Viper.
  6. USAF aircraft uses the Weapons Release for everything except the GUN. USN/MC aircraft has AA and Gun on Trigger, and then AG on Weapons Release. It gets tricky switching back and forwards.
  7. I understand it is EA WIP, but wanted to point out that there is no external tank pylon on STA4/6 when there isn't an external tank installed. The wing tank when removed, comes off with the pylon. The tank does not separate from the pylon and pylon doesn't remain on the aircraft. Now if one was to install a wing weapons pylon, that is a completely different type of pylon and can be installed if one chooses.
  8. It would be nice, but I believe ED has said no more features to NTTR. :(
  9. True I just slap the side of the jet, works every time.:megalol:
  10. A lot of tape updates have happened since 2007, so at some point it would appear that MGRS was added. No clue what the jet may have had or not in 2007, as I can only go with current information.
  11. 3-position switch that will remain in the up position for opening, but must be held down to close the canopy. From the down position it will spring load back to center. Fun fact if the pilot leaves the switch in the up position, the ground crew can not close the canopy from the external switch without first re-centering the internal cockpit switch.
  12. Yes, on the LAU-117.
  13. You can do what ever you want with the game, you will have LAU-88s at your disposal. Those of us with countless hours of experience on the USAF F-16 have said that the real combat capable F-16 in the USAF inventory has not, does not, and will not use the LAU-88. Yes, there are pictures of the USAF viper carrying the LAU-88, but those images don't tell the story behind it. Every image that was provided here as proof that the experienced vets are liars, were from aircraft that were test beds, to try to fix the problem. It was never fixed, the LAU-88 was removed from the authorized inventory, and there is no mention of it in the official documents. But go fly the jet however you please, you will have LAU-88s.
  14. I had to hold back
  15. To mirror what Y-Man said: Master Caution Light. The master caution light will illuminate anytime a warning CAUTION light is lit to indicate malfunction or specific condition has occurred, it does not illuminate with caution WARNING lights. It can be reset by pressing on the light button. Correct wording is with the BOLD words after the words underlined (underlined words are not correct).
  16. Fun fact about the Viper, the engine will siphon the fuel. The fuel boost pumps were added after original production. You could turn them off in flight, and the jet will still function like normal, except AB would cause a flameout, and so would inverted or negative G flight.
  17. Except you don't need to, it is a stand alone product. I use one without any pieces of my warthog, except for the stick handle.

  19. The R3 is a stand alone product, you only need a joystick handle like the hornet addon, warthog, or the original cougar grip.
  20. =Panther=

    EGI?

Probably saw each other from time to time. Luke from 02-06, then Kun 06-07, Nellis 07-present.
  21. I won't be able to until Monday evening (USA), or possibly not until Tuesday mid day.
  22. Wish I had the picture of when the boomers touch was a little rough.
  23. Yes the 120s reduce the flutter, but they hare causing issues with stress fractures. So the "fix" to reduce the flutter, didn't help improve the structure integrity. PS not a structure engineer, my response is my view and opinion from countless hours of fixing said structure issues....aka fuel leaks.
  24. Yes, just one problem. I hate the eye exam process and my current written prescription is expired, although my prescription still feels appropriate. So if I get the courage to be tortured for a few hours to get the written updated, I’ll purchase the inserts. Sorry for continuing the off topic.
