I think the Viggen makes a good stand in for the F-105 in my missions. Would anyone be willing to make a "southeast asia" inspired skin for it? I don't have any specific request for markings or if it would be directly inspired by the 105, I leave that up to anyone willing to take it on. And the F-111 request in the thread below would work fine but that hasn't seen progress. But if anyone could make this happen I would be grateful!

Well mag3 showed a pretty detailed "ai" zero model they were working on which made me think it would be their next. But O was pretty sure when asked what the next WWII plane would be after the Mosquito he said "Japanese" but I'll have to go watch it again.

He said what he said man, maybe he mispoke and just said the Japanese carrier that was most memorable to him. Regardless ED said we're getting a Japanese carrier and plane. Smart money would be on a Zero.

Its been hinted at but try not to get your hopes up too much. I thought they wouldn't be back to DCS either but hopefully we get lucky!

The relic campaign can be played as either the mig or the 86 by the way. Its essentially the same though whichever jet you take. But I do enjoy mig. I probably favor the 86 but eould still say the mig is worth buying if your interested it. Its the same level of quality as the 86 in terms of completion, systems, and art.

Russia knows the US has Su-27s flying around Nevada. Even still ED needs government and Corporate permission if it wants its Moscow offices to stay in good standing. Just like they can't use publicly available classified information to make the blufor planes. They have to get the data through the proper channels.

We MIGHT get an A-6 intruder from Heatblur, but nothing is confirmed. Although the hints seem to be a little more optimistic lately. The EA-6 is the Prowler though and an electronic warfare aircraft. With the current state of EW in DCS we won't be seeing any EW planes in the meaningful future.

I really hate the new forum... I know people worked hard on it and are probably proud of it but why fix something that wasn't broken? I don't see any benefits and its much less user friendly. I'd encourage ED to track if interaction on the forums goes down with the change...

In this interview ED confirms the Next WWII aircraft after the Mosquito will be Japanese and they will include the Akagi.

It's been said in interviews a few times thats its not a matter of if but when. I wouldn't get too hyped though because its could still be three plus years away. But my guess based on absolutely no evidence is about two years.

This is one of the few things about ED that actually pisses me off. If the 15 is your dream plane I understand, but from a buisness perspective what other modern blufor will you make? The Rafale? Gripen? Razbams F-15E will eat up into an F-15C profits. How many of basicly the same jet do we need? I know most people are playing single player but the general enviroment of DCS can't be ignored. As of no we have to pretend Blufor planes are bad guys to play online. IF I get the typhoon and thats a big IF the only reason will be to pretend its a Su. To me its a no brainer.

I had been of the opinion "who needs an A?" but recently I've been using the 14 with its least capable sparrow and no phoenixes as a stand in for the F-4. So now now I say bring on the earlier model!

J-8F is a solid choice. Only other that I see as likely is a Q-5. Which I might change my vote to with Razbams mig-23 coming. That way we have a red cold war fighter and striker.

ED has said they plan a G Cobra and its back burnered. We know they'll make the much more modern (profitable) Apache first and they're only calling that "some day". And we have the mystery module to be announced still. I'd say ED's Cobra is far enough out to be beyond useful speculation. And even still I'd say there's room for both. I'm sure Polychop already has a few ideas for their next helicopter. We can make some educated guesses about what those might be and if the Whiskey Cobra is one of them, hopefully this makes it more possible.

So this released two years ago and we dont have a visual damage model and it doesn't seem to have much of one at all. Engine is still impervious to abuse and it spits out spit parts when it crashes. I hope this will all be addressed with the new damage model? I know the original customer probably doesn't care but there's been hardly any movement on this module since its release. I don't want to my confidence in non flag ship modules reduced. I'm sure its hard to allocate resources to it when the Viper amd Hornet with much bigger fam bases are incomplete but this was paid for too...
