  1. Thanks Danvac, I run VR though and try to avoid mods. I appreciate the work around but I don't think it should be incumbent on the purchaser to fix a product.
  2. Hardly. I know my experiences and opinions on the matter. I try to be an asset and share them. You don't see me bashing the Huey on its forum because it is close enough. But when they asked for help from pilots I offered and took the video of the TOT gauge in autorotation for them but haven't heard back yet. If people don't care for my input on the matter that doesn't bother me. But if one pilot can get on and say the Gazelle FM isn't any good I can come here and disagree. Draw you own conclusions and enjoy your confirmation bias. I think anyone who expects a desktop sim to fly 100% accurate to a real helicopter is insane though.
  3. Maybe? I fly with 16AGR.
  4. Fair enough then man but if thats the case I hate to tell you IMHO the Huey flight model needs a lot of work. I prefer the Gazelle to the Huey in the game because I fly the real Huey and this one drives me nuts. Don't get me wrong it falls into the "close enough" category but it doesn't feel like the real thing to me.
  5. The B-17's currently look quite nice but are piloted by ghosts. Could we please get some pilot and gunner models added inside them?
  6. I'm also disappointed with the lack of updates to this module. It feels like it isn't being cared for.
  7. I bought this module because it was supposed to be integrated into the L-39's radios and nav system. I now have an ILS radio in my L-39 that cannot talk to the HSI. Please address this. Also the knobs are so sensitive I have a hard time entering coordinates or even entering an airport identifier. I've tried scrolling with the mouse and end up on the outer or inner knob when I mean the other and I've bound them to hotas buttons and its a struggle to not over shoot. Could they turn slower? It has been an unreasonable amount of time since we've had news or an update on this module. Are only flagship modules supported?

    Mirage F1

I know it's a long way off but I'm excited for this one.
  9. You must be new here...
  10. I'm a real helicopter pilot too and I'm happy with the Gazelle. The two points I'd like to see improved are multicrew and that control damping. In a real helicopter I can move the controls full deflection as fast as I want unless the hydraulics fail. It might break the helicopter doing that but thats why you don't. As the damping stands now I make an input and don't get the desired response when I expect to causing me to over correct. The flight model as a whole feels pretty good as is reminiscent of flying an MD-500 to me. This is an argument we've had over and over though. Yea it's a sim but it's also a game, not a flight training device. Flying helicopters is hard. On average it takes people 10 hours of practice just to learn to hover. Do you really want to spend 10 FREAKING hours just practicing hovering before you can use a helicopter module you bought? If you want to learn how to fly a real helicopter turn off DCS find a flight school and go take an intro flight. I fly helicopters for a living. I enjoy the Gazelle. I hope Polychop can fix multicrew but I'm going to continue to support their future releases.
  11. I'd really like to see a F-111. It would bring something new to DCS. I understand everyone wanting the Tornado, but it is likely not possible in DCS. I hope you guys get it, but from what I've been told Panavia has flat out said no. Hopefully that's bad information...
  12. I think it would be awesome to lase targets for Hornet's, Harriers, Warthogs, and tomcats with the Kiowa. And I don't know if trees block radar but they are collideable and block weapons.
  13. Pensacola so that would be Paul. Really good guy and a good pilot. Just wish he'd drop his navy flying habits haha.
  14. You can find a Florida forest service(the people who own that Huey) livery in the user files, I got someone to make it for me when I used to fly for them ;)
  15. I love this sim and am happy to support it. I'd also like to add that I really appreciate ED listening to feedback on two important issue, giving us an offline mode, and not letting the carrier DLC divide the online community.
  16. A very sincere thank you for listening to our feedback! This is a great goodwill gesture which we really appreciate.
  17. And that is just your opinion because they have said ww2 is their best return on investment. And although I do occasionally play that other sim I prefer DCS by a large margin even for ww2. The increased depth in systems management dcs has over it makes for far better immersion and more enjoyment. The flight sim community is quite diverse and there's room in DCS for all of us from ww2 to civil to cold war to modern. It always disapoints me when someone disparages someone else's niche because it "wastes resources" that could be spent on their own pet project.
  18. I think I saw somewhere there were about 50k DCS users on steam. A lot of those probably download ot to try the free planes and move on. But combined with standalone I imagine the mainstream modules sell considerably more than 15,000.
  19. I know this is borderline on the rules, and I apologize. But another WW2 sim has an excellent dynamic career mode. DCS is far superior in many other was but I hope some inspiration is taken from that sim.
  20. I hate to admit but I actually think the buffalo would be cool to have...
  21. :megalol: can also be used for RATO!
  22. I wasn't trying to be pedantic but you know how the DCS community is. If polychop doesn't meet whatever goal they have set to release news people will remember this post and throw a fit when there's no news.
  23. Not that I've seen. Do the math though, they show a picture of a hellfire, they've teased the kiowa, they hope to share news. My guess is deals are being negotiated.
  24. They said they hope to be able to share news, not that they will.
