I can confirm this using NVGs in F-14. They should be centered, not lifted up.

correct as is The clock in the cockpit is 3 hours early
draconus replied to Silent Film's topic in Bug Reports
The whole point of the simulation is to simulate RL and as you can see ZULU is used IRL. You are free to use the game however you want and if you want to use non-standard time that's your problem and yes, you'll have to change the clock every mission. You can also wish for such option in ME here: https://forum.dcs.world/forum/207-dcs-core-wish-list/ Another cool option - use Normandy or Channel map. It won't be a problem there -
Your game is modded. Try with clean profile.

Mind that it's electro-optical system for daylight operation - you need to have a contrast. btw: This is Su-25 subforum. For Su-25T you can go here: https://forum.dcs.world/forum/818-su-25t-free-with-dcs-world/

That won't cut it. You'll have to explain what you actually did or tried. Have you already performed command: ipconfig /flushdns ? Are these names properly recognized on your side?: ping api.digitalcombatsimulator.com ping digitalcombatsimulator.com Have you tried changing your DNS server to ex. 8.8.8.8?

I'd say Normandy 2 in 2023 was a major hit. F4U and La-7 are in the works. So what? You can't play because there was no warbird released in last 3 years? Or is there some showstopper I don't know of? Mind that many core improvements come for all DCS, not only jets. Otoh WW2 got high fidelity DM which never got to the jets or helicopters. I won't go into why DCS WW2 is not so popular discussion. What's stopping you from having fun with it other than usual "always lacking something" rant?
-
Yeah, just ignore ED's F6F, Pacific Theatre, WW2 Marianas and other 3rd parties making their warbirds. Aircraft availability or time it takes to model them is also not a direct "problem" of DCS WW2. Full fidelity aircraft is a niche, a study sim genre that is not comparable to more causual games out there. The sooner you get it the better.

The main designation is done with the HUD diamond. The other aspect is correct delivery. We need a short track to see how you do it and what the TCS does.
-
I think you meant some computerized parts like FCS, HUD, RWR, radar, MFDs, DL because warbirds also have electrical systems, avionics, hydraulics, engine management stuff (air/mixture/oil/water/cooling), gear&suspention, airfoils, canopy animations, FM, DM, cockpit/external model, IR signature, textures/liveries, weapons integration... all this has to be modelled and coded and it doesn't seem that much less than modern jets. Maybe it's possible in 2 years but counting on it does not make sense because we can see how it ends in practice. Anyone seen F4U lately?
-
Usually yes, it's true, but they're not making that Eagle from scratch - they can reuse a lot of code from current module.

Being one of the subcontractors he just might be privy to a bit more info.

One is enough. Choose the fastest drive, ex. M2 NVMe, it's usually system drive. I hope all are at least SSD type.
-
Error in the log doesn't mean it's critical. It still can work fine. Mounting can mean creating a file, ex. in the temp folder, so it may be normal that it does not exist beforehand. Try to set your pagefile to fixed size 32GB. Check disks for errors.

That's the whole point of making it in house to not use any 3rd party apps.

Flaming Cliffs 2024 can't bind keys to HOTAS
draconus replied to dykefish2's topic in Flaming Cliffs Bugs & Problems
You're using 3rd party app to manage controls. Try to turn it off before using DCS. Test in Windows game controller panel. -
Yeah, just ignore LODs and draw distance to prove your point. Let me remind rocks and bushes that disappear from 200m in DCS.
-
What key shortcut?
-
Why do you want green state? Here's a mission. Soldier walks a few steps and lays down in the shadow with M249. When the enemy drives nearby, he attacks. Isn't it what you want? M249 test.miz

SBD and TBF are planned for WWII Pacific Pack:
-
You know you can place more than one trigger zone and edit its shape?
-
It's not that easy. Some options can affect both CPU and GPU, some also affect RAM/VRAM and their performance hit depends on the hardware from not affecting at all to significant hit. Some hints already include that info.

Carrier IFLOLS overbright…..and overlay query

Still an issue but you can make the extensive bloom go away by turing the option off in DCS settings, VR tab. -
Proposal: Free modern onboarding and/or trainer module
draconus replied to Luca Kowalski's topic in DCS Core Wish List
You know the saying "Fighter pilots make movies..." - that's because most of the aviation movies are about them, rarely you'll find some super future fighter, superhelicopter and then maybe about some bomber crew or a striker. Ever heard of the movie about trainer aircraft? Same thing is about popularizing DCS. Users learn about its existence mostly from Youtube videos, from exciting videos like dogfights, interesting missions, air to air and ground attacks, realistic procedures and tactics, operating many aircraft systems, navigating, AAR... Most come here for the fighter jets, some for heli or a warbird. Very rarely for a trainer, most people probably doesn't even know about their existence. DCS is usually a step up from the the more relaxed game play sims out there. Only a niche within a niche are guys that are genuinely interested in flying trainers, and for different reasons. They make that step to learn more, to challenge themselves, to no longer "one button fire" through the game. Even when some casual gamer walk through the first steps to set up controls and get into flying part he'll soon realise that no effort attitude will get him nowhere here. It's not for ones that need handholding for every step. Btw, you don't seem to take into account whatever others are saying, do not show emotions, no writing errors. Is this some student project where you let loose chatbot answering the forum posts? You just ignore that development cost for such niche module given away for free will not come with enough ROI, will not cause new players flood and will not make them paying customers. Why do you want to kill DCS financially? -

Or like: "So what kind of fighter is that? It'a trainer, it's slower, doesn't shoot and doesn't bomb. Man... this... sucks. Why are you showing me this?"
