I'm confused. Who is presuming what? How is a customer who pays for a product wanting that product to work being "over entitled", exactly? Who is a spoiled ingrate? Did someone give something to us or did we pay for the product? I'm sure you are a diligent Beta Tester who documents all your inputs to the software and the various outputs to ED. I'm sure you document all your drivers, the Windows patch you are on, and all the other software installed on your computer at the time you were giving these inputs, you know because you are "using" the Open Beta "to assist ED in testing." They must be very glad to have you on the team! You must be a mind reader. That's exactly what everyone attempting to read your post was thinking and choosing, and you definitely nailed us on all our motivations. #Inspirational If you cannot spell the word onus, you probably are not the sort who should be using it. People who say to use Open Beta our own risk and that if we don't like bugs we should be on Stable should themselves be forced to actually use Stable for a month and then tell us all about how it is so "Stable" and reliable and how there are only minor bugs sometimes.

ED imports new code into the engine. People start to notice different things happening. Stennis gets broken in just about every way. Supercarrier is delayed because of a sale..... sure.

This comment should be required reading for everyone who ever says if you don't like game breaking bugs in Beta you should be on Stable. How is the VR performance after today's patch?

+1 However we have been instructed to not speculate on what we think Beta is or should be.... Ours is not to question why, but only to install and stutter while we fly. That being said I am sure the pressure is on at ED right now with the promised EA of the Supercarrier due in days and 2.5.6 being the pretty nightmare it has been. We were not told the patch was coming today, so them delaying until tomorrow is really not a big deal. I just can't wait to be able to do some traps again.

I previously opposed this, but the 50% across the board on ED products has won me over. This is probably going to help a bunch of people enjoy some escape. I have supported this by buying the 18.

Just uploaded another RCAF demo team skin for the MB-339. Will be my last for a while. Will probably be live after review sometime tomorrow.

Who exactly is talking about exactly? The person said the maps are small and ugly, which is his opinion. You are free to disagree. That being said, the maps are minuscule compared to the world. That does seem to be an objective truth. Are they ugly? Well there are very pretty aspects to them. However there are also very ugly aspects to them as well. Glass half full thing perhaps. Since you are so well informed, on what do you base your 20 year estimate on when games will look exactly like the world? Can you read minds too? Sick of suckups and bullies in the community.

I am working on a skin for the Virtual Snowbirds and nearing completion. However, I've run in to a problem. Many of the dds diffuse files are broken in the install package and or the skins provided. I've managed to find copies in the various folders that work but I cannot get the MB33_HGU55.dds MB339_AMI-K2B.dds and MB339_pilot_AMI-T85 There may be others that I need but these are the ones I've identified. I'm an experienced skinner and have not run into this problem with DDS files before. They appear to work in game. Using the nvidia plugin. I have created skins for almost every aircraft (AI and flyable) and never had this problem before. Thanks for any help!

Spent 3 years at sea as an Avionics Tech in the Canadian Air Force (no royal in the name when I was in). Sailed on the AORs maintaining the Sea King. We sailed with US carrier groups several times. While I have seen lots of destroyers and frigates and even a couple of subs at sea I've never seen an aircraft carrier. They were always too far away to see. So the tight formations I see around the Stennis are always a source of amusement to me.
