  1. ACM is an FCR mode, not a "HUD" mode. ACM can be used in any master mode which allows air-to-air radar. While the dogfight override mode is normally associated with ACM, it's not required that the radar be in ACM while in dogfight and ACM is available in other master modes. The issue appears to happen at 16:02:07 where radar is ACM despite NAV being configured CRM. It's perfectly normal to have ACM in NAV master mode but only if the pilot selects this somehow. In the track this change seems to happen spontaneously. I take over at 16:02:05 and simply set the override switch to center and the issue doesn't happen. 16:02:06 system is in DGFT/ACM, then 16:02:07 system changes to NAV/ACM, then MO/CRM later that second, then back to NAV/ACM at 16:02:08. Something is happening to cause NAV to be associated with FCR-ACM which doesn't appear to be initiated by the pilot. I don't know what caused the FCR not to retain its previous FCR association on master mode change but it shouldn't have. Here I'll make a version of your track and take over at 16:02:06 and simply return to NAV and what you should have seen. FCR BUG alternate.trk
  2. It's not damaged, just takes a while in the warm up position before attempting the run position again.
  3. You can't really, not with a hair thin precision. Fuel flow varies continuously, obviously steeper though. Nozzle will begin to open. For setting up a controller, I would use the throttle handle animation. I think it's set to a nice round number in DCS like 80%, 85%, or 90%.
  4. Still works. Make sure the able/stow switch is able, primary indications (CDI/GS) are showing good, ILS ident is positive, and NMSP selections as appropriate. In certain wind condition ILS might switch on for the opposite direction which does not exist. Due to a limitation of the sim make sure your CRS is equal to the magnetic front course of the LOC to get correct ADI lateral bank steering. A10C2 ILS ADI directors.trk
  5. Pitch AP has limited authority. It starts the trimmed state I think +1.0/-0.5g. If trim is bad then AP authority window is shifted. At high AOA AP pitch authority may be unable to supply enough pitch up command to keep altitude even wings level. With sufficient speed the AP will handle constant altitude banked turns just fine. Presumably that would be up to 60 degrees AOB if in the strictly G-based envelope. Since the AP roll-commanded turns are much less than that (30 AOB?) as long as the pitch AP can pull 1.15g (+0.15 over 1g trim) it should maintain altitude.
  6. As far as I can tell the current radio selection isn't passed to SRS. I bound the "next radio" button to both SRS and DCS so hopefully they will step in sync.
  7. Might depend on the AIM-9P variant (1 2 3 4 5). On F-16s the 9P 4/5 can be cued so it can be nutated. Nutation is a caged function anyway. Which airplane are we talking about here? Aiming reference for AIM-9P, AIM-9P5 non-nutating, and AIM-9P5 nutating are 35, 65, and 100 miliradian diameters respectively for a particular airplane. Those are about 2.0, 3.75, and 5.75 degree diameter circles.
  8. USN has pylon cooling (~90m). USAF has internal cooling. Same missile, different cooling.
  9. Bump azimuth is not available in TWS. This was changed in a patch at some point so you may remember that function. It was a correct change.
  10. The visible number of submunitions is less than the total of simulated. 20% are visible and simulated, 80% are invisible and simulated. It keeps the graphical demand down.
  11. It would say DUD on the HUD.
  12. A little more info, when MMC is powered off the system time disappears from the TIME page as the system time is an MMC function. System time begins counting on MMC power so it should be possible to start UFC power first, watch DED TIME page, then turn MMC on and time will pop in the appropriate field.
  13. If the alignment wasn't done yet it should say TXA DEGD on the HUD. The only way I could replicate the screenshot was boxing SIM for armament.
  14. The airplane has to be specially modified and/or use a dummy device to achieve unpaired bomb release. The airplane as it comes from that factory can't do what is shown in the video.
  15. System time can be changed on the CRUS page. Doing so deselects GPS as time source.
  16. This is why "GBU" is a bad term when talking about precision bomb performance. What is it? GBU-12, 38, 39, 24, 54? They all behave different. For laser guided usually upwind 1 ft per knot. For INS shouldn't have any effect on accuracy.
  17. This is correct behavior. The location is only sent from WPDSG to JDAM target location at the instant of WPDSG creation. If the designation exists and weapons are cycled while that designation exists no location should be sent to the new weapons. Basically the location stream from the designated point to the weapon only happens when the designated location changes. Waypoints don't change so there is no updated info flowing down the pipe to the weapon. Sensors (radar, FLIR, etc.) have small fluctuations in their value which sends a constant stream of updates to the currently selected weapon.
  18. I'm the same way. I think it's missing from the joystick\default.lua file but exists in keyboard\default.lua. Oh look at that, top of the file: --/N/ added 31.01.2015. {combos={{key='M'}},down=iCommandToggleMirrors,name=_('Toggle Mirror'),category=_('View')}, {combos={{key='B',reformers = {'LAlt'}}},down = iCommandViewBriefing,name=_('View briefing on/off'),category = _('General')}, Search joystick\default.lua for "iCommandToggleMirrors" none found. Yup, they never added it. You can add it manually if you want so you can bind joystick to mirror toggling.
  19. I have inverted the CP/G collective axis independent of the Pilot collective axis on my client successfully. Ensure that in CONTROL OPTIONS you select the "AH-64D CP/G" from the left hand drop down menu. When you press Esc and ADJUST CONTROLS on MISSION PAUSED menu the control set which is select is the "AH-64D Pilot" regardless of which seat you are in when you enter the options and must be changed to adjust CP/G controls.
  20. When you use the FCR as the sensor in EO PRE, SOI automatically switches to WPN when FCR is designated.
  21. But when you use FCR as EO PRE sensor the SOI switch is automatic
  22. Would the SOI automatically be changed to WPN since the pilot is expected to manually control the missile?
  23. As far as I'm aware this feature is present on all APG-66 and APG-68 radars from the first use in F-16s though the v5 as modeled. The cursor crosshairs would be hidden on GM, GMT, and SEA and possibly beacon modes while TMS aft is held to improve seeing the radar image behind and resume when TMS aft is released. Look in the -34
  24. Probably custom snap view lua file. If you deselect custom views in options that should temporarily disable that custom default angle. Longer term it's necessary to text edit that lua file or overwrite it with a new position. It's in \Saved Games\DCS\Config\View\SnapViews.lua
  25. I also assume that manual initiation interrupts or overlaps with automatic dispense. Sorry, can't give you a flare, in the middle of an anti-radar routine; not seeing it.
