  1. One more question. I have a butt kicker thing on my cockpit that makes vibrating effects when flying. Does anyone think this could cause the FSSB device to fail prematurely? I sent a email to real simulator but didn’t get a response.
  2. I've run into a new problem after updating SSSM while using butt kicker and jet seat flying a hornet. During start up everything works well. As soon as I get airborne I feel a constant vibration that reminded me of afterburn. With SSA open I uncheck all effects but the constant vibration continues. When I close DCS world the constant vibration continues until SSA and SSSM detects that DCS is no longer running and then the constant vibration stops. I did try "DCS Repair Export" but it did not help. I poked around SSA and SSSM installation folders but don't see any logs. Any advice?
  3. Thanks @Munkwolf. When you use this device with DCS, is it necessary to run the software or is the software only ran as needed to config?
  4. I have a TMWH HOTAS. The stick has always had a little twist slop even though the metal nut was tight. I assume this is slop with metal pin in slot that is too wide. Does anyone have this stick mounted in the FSSB base? If yes, is there some slop in the twist for you or is it tight?
  5. Maybe one day VS (virtual scent) will be added to VR. You could smell burning electronics after taking damage or even Jester’s flatulence.
  6. If ED is still monitoring this thread, they should know there are potential customers for this module if VR was supported. I tested the abrams recently in VR and I wasn’t able to use the sights of the gun. It was awesome to see friends coming in for gun run with A-10 though!
  7. Hmm. If you know how to use the mission editor, set a tank in the middle of a big desert valley with clear, sunny weather conditions and try again. If that doesn’t help, post a track file so the community can help.
  8. Thanks I didn’t notice MPSM when i read it earlier.
  9. I understand that this particular Hydra 70 rocket was used with AH-64D. Does anyone know if it will be included in DCS Apache? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydra_70
  10. I’ve found that steam players have the most issues with file management. Recommend standalone.
  11. I’m a frequent flyer and have been tinkering with the ME for quite some time. Easily understand how people can get burned out with DCS. My method for avoiding burnout is flying with a group of online friends on a regular schedule. I make missions that have a lot of “dynamic” aspects and often require a complete package to accomplish (strike, sead escort, cap). We run the missions, review together via screen sharing tacview, and discuss what could here been done better. Thankfully there’s a community made app called “DCS Liberation” that has taken a lot of ME work load off my shoulders. Now I just make theaters for that app, which is a lot less time consuming. Im hopeful that DCS World will continue to evolve where large scale multiplayer missions can offer good performance for 40+ players. Once that happens, I think the TvT scene (like georgia at war or cold war server) is going to be phenomenal.
  12. Very exciting news update! I hope the engine changes yield big performance improvements for VR and large scale missions!
  13. If I can fly before 6 months from pre-order, I will be pleasantly surprised. If I still can’t fly in early 2022, my expectation won’t be violated.
  14. I think 3 months is a good prediction, so my expectation is set at 6 months.
  15. On topic. Here’s a demo of a rhino with heavy load. Off topic about g limit override. If your on a BFM public server, you should expect people to use it.
  16. New DCS module release speculation phase in full effect! I wonder how much time will lapse between pre-order and EA release.
  17. Caldera, This is the F-18C forum group. Your trick sequence is for A-10C. If a new hornet player finds these instructions, they could waste time looking for TMS or china hat.
  18. Correct me if i’m wrong, but aren’t these A-10C instructions?
  19. I'm super excited for the apache too, but I can absolutely wait for them to make it more complete before launch of early access. A bit off topic, but one reason is more work on the FLIR rendering. I don't think trees are hot unless they are on fire.

    EMCON

Anyone know if this is implemented currently?
  21. I enjoy single pass employment of multiple GPS guided munitions using TOO with a series of waypoints or mark points. I’ve found that mapping DDI keys to my HOTAS allows me to quickly cycle through them. Realistic? No. Convenient? Yes.
  22. I would love to see a feature that allows mission editors to control how much time it takes for the DCS engine to automatically repair damaged runways. Right now it’s 60 minutes, and that is too fast for long mission times. Even a simple flag to disable automatic runway repair would be nice.

  23. Brilliant idea! Hopefully this wouldn't be too difficult of a feature addition.
  24. +1! Our squadron (85 pilots) enjoys long mission that runs a span of multiple sorties, and it's frustrating to destroy a runway to only have DCS repair it quickly (60 minutes?). Why does DCS repair runways so quickly? Can we control how long it takes, or is this hard coded? @BIGNEWY save us please! I would attach the track file but it's 200MB. This behavior is repeatable.
