    HMD uplook

As Klars said, this is the uplook
  2. Err I didnt think WFOV had a level 2. At least in AG mode there are only 5 'zooms' WFOV 1.0 MFOV 1.0 MFOV 2.0 NAR 1.0 NAR 2.0
  3. Have you got SEQ1 boxed on the bottom right?
  4. So decided to try out some of the new features. But it looks like offset isn't working, or at least its not working as described in the docs. It all works as expected up until you press the O/S pushbutton on PB14, in order to designate the offset. From here the expected behaviour is the TGT diamond over the OAP is removed and replaced with the WPT/OAP symbol, the TGT will replace the offset symbol on the HSI to show the designation of the offset. Instead what happens is the TGT diamond remains over the OAP and the offset symbol is removed leaving nothing in its place. This behaviour in effect means an offset designation cannot currently be created in DCS . offset.trk
  5. Yeah, I don't think this is a bug. I'll be happily proven wrong, but NATOPS and SMEs correlate on this one.
  6. I cant see anyway to reset an OAP to WPT. But it shouldn't really matter. OAPs act just like normal waypoints with the execption of the ability to change the designation into an offset designation.
  7. Says it in the patch notes
  8. Looks fine to me in your screenshots. Looks like you got the OAP very near the smoke. And what's this about the HSI being wrong? Both the OAP and the FLIR coords match..
  9. Have you verified that in latest? I've seen people having their TOO mission wipe on undesignate
  10. Standby, its possible undesignate now removes the TOO mission in the latest patch
  11. ANL-50, you mean ALE-50? In either case, Gen X requires ALE-39 or 47, which we have. So that's fine
  12. Off the top of my head, theres that whole thing about SCS depress being a modifier. So iirc: SCS Depress+ Right/Left = IFF SCS Depress + Aft = TGT Data there will be others too, but those are the ones I've heard of.
  13. So I am pretty sure now the MITL stuff in DCS is pretty approximate. IRL the weapon wouldn't be dictated by which number station its on, but rather a datalink channel and ID entered into the DL13 display. Information is mega spotty so idk, lets wait and see what behaviour SLAM-ER brings.
  14. 1. So for general radar detection performance, its probably a bit more accurate now than it was. But we are missing some really significant QOL things like MSI that will allow targeting of non radar tracks. Additionally your 'random' detections might be attributed to a low age out setting. If you press the DATA pushbutton and then look in the top right. You will see a number, 4/8/16/32 that will represent the seconds for which a raw hit is displayed until it fades. Now currently this is also applying to tracks (which is shouldn't) but anyway, upping this value will allow more stable tracks with the compromise of a bit more clutter. 2. With this, should be as simple as increasing the azimuth setting; on the bottom of the screen on the left end of that row, there is a value 20/40/80/140 which is the degrees of azimuth the radar will scan. TWS will automatically limit this based on total scan volume, so when you switch back to RWS you might have to adjust this back up by pressing the button to cycle through.
  15. SLAM appears to be the only weapon that doesn't automatically step to the next station after weapon launch. I have no idea if this is correct or not, but its glaringly different to the other weapon systems, so worth highlighting IMO. SLAMstep.trk
  16. Secondary video: Unfortunately, NATOPS doesnt have an image of a TGT designation with the aircraft in a bank. So videos are all I can offer, I can offer many more if needed however. TGTroll.trk
  17. It looks like the TGT Diamond in the real jet remains vertical relative to the horizon/world, rather than what we have in DCS where the diamond remains vertical to the HUD.
  18. Interesting wrote up. Remember though that the nozzle position in DcS is likely just ana animation. Engine thrust won't necessarily be at all related to it. Additionally, hornet in game has more thrust than the real thing.
  19. You got any more on that? Sounds interesting.
  20. Yeah I don't think TAS was ever rolled out. Growler happened instead
  21. iirc, it's included under missile in the real docs..
  22. I've tried to capture what is seen in that video, there are a few unknown locations that I've listed in the middle.
  23. Cooperative launches with SLAM and SLAM-ER are a pretty substantial feature of these MITL weapon systems that is missing from DCS currently, Here's a video showing the comms flow of a SLAM-ER cooperative launch. Additionally in hornet TAC-300 this technique is mentioned and detailed. Adding this cooperative launch ability would be a great addition to the DCS environment, IMO. Yet more juicy complexity for us to sink our teeth into.
  24. I think ED have said before that this isnt going to change. We are stuck with the silly 127 and thats that iirc.
