  1. That is looking rather grand, exciting times for us end users. Thank you:)
  2. Its not like you have been waiting long ;)
  3. Unequivocally YES :)
  4. Great initiative cheers :)
  5. I made my own from an old X52 throttle and some aluminium tubing. Need to wire up the head still that I adapted from a MS sidewinder so I have 4 buttons and a trigger (or will have when my soldering iron is repaired) :)
  6. I am using 3 ssd's and 3 hdd's no space on the mobo for an optical drive though:music_whistling: Brix I have an expansion card for PCi in my old build that worked excellently for adding drives and giving 6Gb/s speeds (x58 has 3Gb/s sata1) They are remarkably cheap for a PC component and well worth the cost if your stuck
  7. Make sure the PSU will fit in the case. I once bought a 1200 Watt PSU and had to get the hacksaw out:doh: Also check out if that cooler is going to be good enough. I have a custom loop and I prefer the bespoke path. It has 360 rad and a D5 vario with dualbay resevoir and a XSPC block, keeping my 8600k @60C under load @5.2Ghz Well worth considering for such a nice rig, it does not look as though your skimping on any of the components Also the 1080Ti will be more future proof than the 1080 though the 1080 is an amazing card  PS welcome to the forums :)
  8. Fixed for you mate;)
  9. Please let me know if they can be seen now, Thank you
  10. Ta :) I am very forgetful and stuff that doesn't have any interest for me has no room in my small brain ;)
  11. Doh Ok.Sorry to be a pain can you link me to a guide so I follow the correct procedure. I am a noob you know ;)
  12. Generally we get a release date and the pre purchase price is available until it is released ? Is that right, I am buying a house and need all my money for the deposit:cry: Once the sale goes through it will be fine but for now I am a pauper.
  13. How about Motherboards. I have a faulty one and it is being replaced by the same board model. I already lost some activations during my latest build
  14. If it has only done it once then I would not worry. If it is doing it everytime the PC is switched off then it may be the Cmos battery needs to be reseated or replaced
  15. Mi-8 is fantastic, F5 and the viggen are both beautiful in VR both of which I can recommend wholeheartedly. The C-101 is nice in VR but it is a trainer at the end of the day with an armed version available sometime in teh future.
  16. Which seems to point to an issue with your DCS instal. If you haven't already delete the metashaders folder C:\Users\Your Name\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha\metashaders When you next restart DCS it will rebuild the shaders folder again this has proven helpful to me once before. You can also run a repair and the easiest way to do that is with Skatezillas utility https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=160053
  17. Your CPU looks to be the limiting factor. DCS loves fast cpu's. Try the overclocking route :) Sorry never saw more posts added to the thread. Good luck :)
  18. I quite often run the instant action missions just to keep my hand in. I still love the Warthog and it has been rewarding since the first beta, hell don't forget for a time we had the Nevada map too for our dosh :) In fact we got NTTR for free as early adopters I just remembered YAAAY even better value :D
  19. If you want any help troubleshooting I am more than happy to help. I think the first thing you could do is run a benchmark to see what your rig is doing. It sounds like it could be conflicting drivers but you need to check it against something other than DCS to discount its a problem with your rig first. Try the orangeroom demo its a benchmarking tool for VR http://store.steampowered.com/app/464170/VRMark/
  20. Something is very wrong, Have you changed settings in Nvidia control panel ? Are you running it off an HDD, are your drivers up to date? Are you plugged into onboard graphics card by accident. Man I would be troubleshooting the arse out of that :)
  21. Background programs, I had severe dips with Ccleaner running in tray also causing problems was Asus AIsuite and an updater. Run taskmanager so you can see it peering from under the rift and see what is running concurrently :) Also try to reduce the preload radius that can help
  22. Look at what I found.......
  23. Any chance you can make me one too? ;) That is incredible I salute your skills
