Every system I ever built was based on an asus mobo. BUT in the last 10 years since I built my last major system the quality goes down and the price increases. Why should I have no choice but pay for aura LED's when I would rather have a more complete I/O. My X58 board has 10 USB slots on rear the latest has 2x2 2x3.0 and 2x some strange USB 3.1 A and C like FFS why? And yes I will think twice next time:mad:

I used to run dcs on a striped array and it was fast but I then went to an ssd which blew the raid out of the water. One thing I discovered get biggest size possible. Small ssd s under 120Gb are not worth having when they get fuller than about 50%

It would be useful to know your settings. Ok I don't have the ti but I struggle to get good performance with anything above 1.3 PD in 2.2 Also view distance is high on mine not ultra makes a difference. Post a screen of your settings page and play around yourself a bit :)

I have warthog with 15cm extension fitted to a wheelstand pro between my legs and a collective at my side so my controllers mirror what I see. Along with jetseat it's as immersive as possible without owning a huey and flying it :)

I can run orange room vr benchmark and x plane 11 but dcs will not load a mission. Bleeding hell:huh: Edit Dcs won't load with the one stick now. May have to check further Ok checked. It is the internet to blame. Work is being done on the line and I cannot load a mission with paid modules. That is a bug for a separate thread. Sent from my mobile

Finally got both sticks to boot together but I have then in b1 and b2 Q : will it matter ? Dcs will load but hangs when loading a mission. Grrrr

In settings go to vr tab and click on use vr headset. Try running with the vr preset and adjust according to your system. Enjoy your going to be blown away:)

My even older 920 was able to run VR fine with an O/C of 3.9 and a 970 I noticed the difference immediately when I upgraded though. The 1070 is a game changer or the 1080 if you can stretch to it :) Lack of USB 3 ports will be your biggest challenge if you have non it will cost an expansion card

From a chopper pilots perspective, the lighting and detail at ground level along with those thickly forested hills with only a couple of obvious LZ's and those either slope landings or very tight with collidable trees all around, oh and the EGT fix for the huey and the multicrew when it comes. Awesome times my friends :thumbup:

I have my 8600k running at 5Ghz @30'C and 40'C gaming temps don't worry delidding till you know it needs it

Well I had already tried all options for Dimm configuration but I first used A2 and B2 the grey ones. Had updated to latest bios too. Even resat the cpu and checked it was seated correctly and no bent pins Still bloody fast though I have it at 5 Ghz but the voltages are high, This is just ramping it up via software to see what it was like. Max temps Via Realtemps are 67*C with Prime95
