Hey Tony, great review :) I am looking forward to grabbing the campaign myself. I look forward to actually flying a campaign where I know the systems and so forth before I fly it instead of using a campaign to learn a module. I use a 15 Cm extension. The only problem is making sure the pedals are near enough for your sitting position

I have gone and tweaked the VR preset a little and the game looks better without a performance hit. Terrain and textures set to high, flat shadows and flat terrain shadows. VD high. Also have max preload radius, max grass and trees are a higher value too. Happy tweaking :) @aceviper, its a relatively easy tweak that can be played with if neccessary. hope it helps a bit :)

I plugged my monitor into the HDMI slot replacing the rift cable. Then there is an option available in the Nvidia control panel whereby you can adjust Digital vibrance and Hue. (Its the adjust desktop colour tab.) Replace the monitor HDMI with the rift one and it will keep the adjusted settings.

@ Colmillo The Nvidia software wont affect DCS visuals with the rift. Leave them to default. Also MSAA causes problems of low FPS with this latest build. It is difficult to get smooth and pretty gameplay with 2.1 until we see more optomisation. The new 1.5.7 on the other hand is looking a lot nicer and allows more eye candy for less performance hit. This is purely my perspective on it though and if possible try to tweak the settings until you get a satisfactory experience. Still cannot go back to 2d whatever the limitations are currently. FYI I use the VR preset for 2.1 and crank most stuff to high, max or ultra in 1.5.7 and a Pixel density of 1.5 for both builds

The other possibility is modding the LUA with the presets and adding it via OVGME or JSGME as a mod in the hope you will retain the modded presets when joining the server and that you have no integrity check problems

AFAIK it needs to be done in the mission editor. Perhaps the best way is to get the other players to change freqs to suit your presets :)

I don't know if this will ever replace CTLD for MP due to the unit count impacting on playability. Better to spawn assets when in MP. But for the SP community I am sure it will be easier to setup missions etc.

I can't imagine 3rd party developers being prepared to only release a module once a year, they would struggle for cashflow and any fixes for bugs introduced would have to wait till the following year. As Chiclidfan says, don't update your own machine and let the rest of us enjoy the hype on a more regular basis

Sorry I meant the multi target tracking, I assumed it was initiated with a fire director radar. My post was purely to highlight the pitfalls of modelling the D variant:)

One of the older varients without radar would be my preference. Modelling a realistic Warrior would be a huge undertaking with all the associated Digital communications/datalink and the associated camera's, FDR etc. Good luck though I hope its a success, can't ever have too many choppers:)
