  2. Usually I tend to stay away from fictional skins, but these really do look great and not as over the top as some of the other made up liveries. I have a lot of respect for anyone painting camo on the Hornet, it can be such a pain to make sure it all lines up, great job!
  3. I believe Wag's mentioned that they're working on a new flare/chaff model, it's not as simple as just doubling how many expendables the Hornet can carry.
  4. I was just watching this documentary filmed on CVN-70 during the mid 90's. There's a couple shots of a single seat Navy Hornet with some sort of targeting/navigation pod on the left cheek station, but I can't tell exactly what system it is. Anyone able to identify what exactly it might be?
  5. I haven't seen any updates to the model. I'd also add that at least currently, all the different Viper variants share the same 3D model.

  7. I believe you can find them on the same texture sheet near the top. One strategy that I have used for finding specific parts on the texture sheet is to make a layer consisting of four different colored squares and placing it over the entire texture. I then export it out, find which color the piece you're looking for is on the model, and then scaling down and moving that whole squares layer to fit inside the square of whichever color you found on the model. Just keep repeating this process until you've narrowed your search down enough to find the part of the sheet that has what you're looking for.
  8. I'd also point out that you also have the option of loading just the model on it's own, or using the Add Model option (Ctrl+O) and then positioning it so you can see both the aircraft and the fueltank at the same time.

  10. It seems to be bugged right now, as per this post and a quick test. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=243360 My guess it that it erases the coordinates and other info you've entered, but I couldn't find any info online about it.

Yeah, I was mostly just interested in knowing whether the internal ECM suite is just the same stuff as the pod but mounted within the airframe or if it's an entirely unique system they developed for those Vipers. I'm not expecting to see any kind of serious ECM simulation within the game for the foreseeable future so exact capabilities aren't really relevant.
  12. You aren't exactly able to release them all at the same time, but just in extremely rapid succession without having to fiddle with anything on the stores page in between releases.
  13. Per Wag's update video, I believe you can just increase the quantity you drop without having to retype coordinates for each individual munition.

    Some of complaints are seriously infantile. The content will get released when it's ready, no amount of whining on the forums is going to make devs work faster. Go drop some JSOWs if you wanna take out your frustration on something.
  15. Yes, this is how all mods work that overwrite any of the game files work. I'll update the post to make this more clear.
  16. I just updated my game to test it out and it's working fine for me. Make sure you download and reinstall the latest version of the mod. It doesn't look like they updated the radio in this patch, but let me know if you're still having problems. EDIT: I'd also test it out without the mod, according to people on the forums apparently there are some problems with PP mode but I haven't been able to test it all out yet.
  17. Does anyone know whether the internal ECM some Vipers have has the same capabilities as the 131/181 pod (not sure which one we use).
  18. Has anyone else been playing around with some of the new features they've added to the modelviewer in this latest patch? They've added a dedicated button for reloading the textures as well as some interesting new stuff in the tools panel related to the upcoming carrier DLC. Have people come across any other interesting additions?

  23. Thank you for letting me know about the issue, I am away from my usual setup for the rest of the month so I would not have realized without your post. I am working on getting a fix out as soon as possible, with some luck I might be able to upload an update by tomorrow.

    If you can get guns kills on the first two enemies since they don’t have any missiles you’ll do yourself a big favor when you’re down to the last few enemies. Then save the rest of your cannon rounds in case you need to finish someone off or run out of missiles.
  25. The RAM CAT looks pretty sweet, definitely never seen that one before! The Wildcat's CAG bird from the same cruise was the SANTA CAT. I might just end up doing a couple different Christmas skins, I know there's a VFA-37 Hornet that has the bull logo wearing a Santa hat, just gotta scrounge up some sources for it.
