  1. PS as for Baltic Dragon, if it takes him another year it will be worth waiting for. Fantastic content, always. Simply put if its got his name on it i will buy it. Let not deflect away on a red herring. Nothing to do with BD the current status of Razbam and the issues listed in my last post re module out of EA.
  2. It's an utter farce. They are often on their discord. A logical conclusion given the facts would be that they use that because they can control all content and user access. However as soon as you raise an issue they have no interest in resolving you get deleted from the group. First off i'm not aware of any age restrictions for their discord group and many of ED's customers are minor's so swearing is utterly uncalled for, this is not professional not that they should need reminding. I hope this post does not get deleted given other recent ones have. Thankfully its now got to stage, where they cannot pull the wool over ED's eyes anymore by hiding, marking as resolved and deleting threads. Having a bug tracker on their site that mirrors no resemblance to the actual module. I actually think that once ED complete an internal investigation and review the module it will return back to EA. First, we need to get to a position that no matter how critical in nature a customer's feedback is, this should not be deleted. We have over the years fought for our freedom, some at the sharp end and other's reading this will still be keeping us safe. To silence free speech or oppress opinions is not healthy, history is proof of that and thus we cannot tolerate any attempt to silence an opinion no matter in what form of life it happens, even if its something we don't personally agree with, we have to respect that person's right to express themselves with tolerance and respect. Any attempt to silence genuine issues is insulting to sacrifices made and unless the post itself is prejudice against a direct person which would cause insult aka racism, sexist, supporting terrorism, bullying etc, or totally disregards the forums rules they should be engaged not dismissed. Genuinely highlighting an issue is surely what the Open Beta process is all about and should be welcomed. Dev's that cannot handle criticism of a product when it is based on trying to improve it need to look inwards and reflect, it is not a personnel attack on them but born out of wanting the product to be right. It is not just them that are passionate. I often see comment's to other users that have raised genuine issues being dismissed with EA is not for them, 80% of the time i agree its not for them but with the Harrier i actually think if constructive feedback can't be given, is censored and/or that feedback is totally ignored then EA is not for Razbam. It is that simple. The harrier situation is a concern. Superficially the module flies, but that's where it ends. It is not feature complete, especially for what is sold as a level d simulation by any measure. It is not even complete on the list that it is sold by let alone the total disregard to how the systems work IRL, its MFD pages etc (would take pages on here but happy to spec out if the desire is there). It is clear that as the year has gone on resentment in the serious harrier players has grown, caused by a lack of forward progress on features with equally a total disregard to the official forum's and people raising issues there only to be frankly ignored. Whilst all the while we are showcased new screenshots of F15, Mig23, Lighting even by various other channels. Serious issues preventing the correct operation of the Harrier are still present, some from day 1 of release. If you have Natop's knowledge of the jet then the flaws just become even more apparent, but even for the casual player there are problems with such basic things as vital keybinds not working or present. I have said before Razbam have a very talented group of artists but lack code resource base. To move this module out of EA is a mistake. But what cannot be tolerated is Razbam's continued ignorance to the official ED forum's and their customers who have purchased expecting in good faith a company to engage with them. I believe in the EA process, i'm committed to supporting ED (over $1000 so far) and i'm very patient and pragmatic. However simple common courtesy to reply to an issue costs nothing. I could in fairness work my way down the Harrier forum list each issue and reply to each post within a day. They have had 3 years nearly, there is not a valid excuse to not acknowledge now, only an apology and admission they got things wrong. It has got to the state where quite frankly over the last 12 months players who have signed up to support the EA process in assisting are not getting that assistance back from Razbam, its a two way partnership and one side of that partnership is not working, and hasn't been for some time. It either arrogance or head in the sand, either way its not good and needs resolution. Apart from the utter failure in consumer confidence in Razbam to move it away from EA its a mistake for them also. Inadvertently what they have done is actually the worst thing for them if they are struggling as they have no justification anymore of it being an Early Access module. Bugs will be expecting to be resolved, actual non EA customers not ignored, aka the less tolerant ones. They have just hugely increased the pressure on themselves without realising it and for this reason alone its another mistake to move the module away from EA, its just not ready, mark my words, resentment will grow. and this will become a bigger and bigger problem. Some of us have over 1500 hours in the DCS harrier, some 2000+ hours i dare say some probably have more time than the dev's flying it themselves. These are not, with no disrespect to our younger audience 12 year old's on their first flight simulator (who equally deserve a better level of customer service nor sworn at). The point is alot of us have 30 + years of experience , a lot of us fly IRL. I have seen some people state well the CM has left, however this is something that has only occurred in the last 2 1/2 weeks. I would invite you to look at the amount of issues/bugs raised and notice how many don't even get acknowledgement over the last 12 months, this is what has caused the issue. That and Razbam's expression of preferring their Facebook as they can control the content. They engage on their own platforms just not so much with ED forums, which is the reverse of what it should be. Have you noticed that they even dismissed the community bug tracker stating they only work to the Razbam one, which what a surprise they control and contains a fraction of the real issues. I would highlight that this is not directly ED's issue so let's not be critical of them yet, they need time to take on board our comments and work with Razbam to performance manage them into delivering and equally long term review the op's structure on third parties re business continuity / redundancy if key personnel leave etc. Yes the book stops with ED however we need to give them the opportunity to resolve and hopefully the Senior Management will at some point be briefed and get this on their own radar. Also i would like to highlight that this is not Bignewy's or Nineline's issue - they have worked really hard this last year to massively improve on the communication to the community and in that sense have a tough role, even keeping across the ED discord too at all times of day and night, i feel sorry for them that they are now having to pick up further work because Razbam are failing to deliver on their end of the deal. One last point, is it right that third party developers have oversight and moderator rights of official ED forums, i would suggest not until trust is regained. It provides an opportunity for things to be deleted, moved to resolved when not. Only ED should have this level of access. I'm confident that ED, now involved will come back with us with a clear roadmap on how we make progress together, hopefully providing an oversight on Razbam's customer service, which clearly needs an urgent and honest review along with their output.
  3. Have completed all the A 10C Campaigns re DLC for the Hog, been playing sim's in some format since 1995. Mainly online these days in DDCS however happy to assist anything to do with A10 content and evaluation, plus have a good understanding of CA/ME/mission design. Feel free to pm me.
  4. Ha great game, i think i have the manual still somewhere! I even remember buying a 16MB, yes 16MB 3dfx Voodoo Banshee graphics card and being amazed at the level of graphics. If i could have looked into the future and what we now have with VR i probably wouldn't have believed it !
  5. Bignewy just to be clear my posts got deleted - one for controversy for some unknown reason (couldn't be further from the truth ). It was purely asking why this thread had disappeared even and referenced the community bug tracker, lack of progress and in it i also mentioned about the GBU32 and 54 and how it can be considered systems complete given where we are with the module. There is a growing resentment when you speak to experienced harrier players online (aka know the Natops), on this forum and in the wider community to Razbam's poor communication. This is not trying to raise controversy its purely a fact. -I have noticed this has gathered some pace in the last few months with the Harrier module. I was purely asking for this to be raised within ED and for a review, given that we all care passionately about this module. Was it ED or Razbam that deleted the posts - just curious where the censorship is now coming from and why? If its not something you want to post please just pm me,but silencing objective customer feedback, that cannot be a good thing surely. PS i just wish they would take a leaf out of ED's book as the communication from you and Nineline has been excellent in the last year.
  6. PS as for refuelling, try Harrier, night time no moon, high cross winds, high turbulence, asymmetric heavy load out, clouds. Makes it a bit more fun that just scooting up and filling up which is easy. The only thing i would say is having a good Hotas makes a solid difference, be it the 18, 14, 16,JF17 or A10. Probably 18 is the easiest, but its hard to grade as per someone else's comment its a transferable skill in some regards.
  7. No this is just an incorrect statement. Not sure when the last time you checked however there are only a few training and i think 1 or 2 aerobatics, however the top servers are not. They are focused heavily on combat scenarios. So for example the server i spend time on, DDCS, is a pretty high calibre, some very experienced people on there which is evident if we pop on other servers its becomes very easy. Also people that join from other servers often have a new learning curve to face if facing the core of the regular squad. As for 2 installs, i don't understand why, i only have one now and only ever play MP. No point not running OB these days as stable isnt exactly bug free either so SP is way too easy, actually can't remember the last time i got shot down even with AI maxed out and ground systems cranked up. Nothing compares to fighting human tac commanders with real GCI, to say otherwise is just naive.
  8. Yes its working, from memory you have to click and hold down left mouse as you turn it. But you can definitely increase and decrease the brightness
  9. When i said get involved i didn't mean for them to start coding - more to give Razbam some performance management and highlight their failing and unacceptable standards, especially in the area of customer relations and communication. They need bringing to task.
  10. No worries, can see you have the PG map also, there is a road tunnel about 20 clicks south of Khasab also - next time im on PG il get the grid for you. Tend to know where they are as use combined arms alot on the server i play on so you get to know where they are!
  11. There is quite a few but if on the caucasus map look at MN21 from memory, in the mountains north of Reno Zemo. It straddles the border into Russia from Georgia there is quite a few around there. There are also smaller ones on the road north from Sochi. They are dotted all around the map to be fair.
  12. ED need to get involved, surely they cannot allow a third party to interact with their customer's in such a poor, rude and unprofessional manner. There has to come a stage on quality control when the parent company has to get involved rather than allowing a third party to continue in such a fashion. Especially, when you consider alot of us have spent well over $1000 in DCS software alone. But yes to silence legitimate concerns and constructive criticism is a worrying sign of insecurity in Razbam's ability to bottom out these issues, combined with their actual track record and inability to resolve these issues, some of which on the bug tracker (that they don't want to acknowledge) are day one issues and not overly complex to resolve. There appears to be some arrogance. I think a good example of this was when we got told the TDC analogue slew axis issue was due to the consumer hardware not being good enough (lol) to render, despite every other pod in game working, despite having super high end pc's and nothing to do with their code (which they later had to acknowledge it was)! EA is all about improving the product with beta testing from the wider customer base and listening to feedback and issues raised. I mean we are dealing with a company that don't even want to work with the public bug tracker or acknowledge it, something which users are giving their free time to improve the product and yet they don't even get an acknowledgement, unbelievably rude. Can you imagine this in any other sector of business that had a competitor. Reviewing their "official" bug tracker which they control is extremely poor, being frank its a joke, not just in issues not being recognized but also in fixing dates from added. ED learnt last year how important communication was and have been more proactive since summer 2019 it has to be said. Even their acknowledgement of core bug fixing requirements which i think most serious players welcomed over the development or release of further systems/weapons on the 18/16. However Razbam's communication and output has gone backward's and it's been left unchecked. Its a shame because i don't want Razbam to fail, absolutely the opposite but i fear they are going to alienate more and more serious players given their approach.
  13. PS you may also want to read through some other users comments here, your clearly not aware of the history or have enough hours in the Harrier in competitive mulitplayer pvp to understand the issues. Its a great module superficially but it really depends on your skill set and knowledge as to how its shortcomings are a plenty. The primary issue however is the lack of Razbam to engage with their customers and reply when genuine issues are raised. They would just rather silence them. Time here is not the issue, the communication is.
  14. Clearly by the way you are trolling after i leave a post on this and other issues you are in some way either affiliated with Razbam or are some fan of theirs. Let's keep things in perspective this is not nagging, far from it, i have patience however this does not excuse the fact that Razbam do not engage with customer feedback - look at the community bug tracker and then come back to me on each point!
  15. Well its coming up a 2 year anniversary now since anyone from Razbam even commented about this issue which is still outstanding.
  16. So this post started back in April. Not one reply from anyone from Razbam in 5 months, not even a thank you or noted or its not accurate. Question why are we tolerating this level of behaviour? Forget about customer service this is just plain rude! ED need to step in and start sorting out their sub contractors this is non sustainable and affects there brand also. i tried to bring up some of these issues on their discord that they obviously control. All i know is i got banned and no longer able to log into their discord to raise issues. Absolutely shocking disregard for customer feedback or issues. And People get excited about the F15, so would i if it was being developed by a dev team that actually manged to resolve day one release issues 3 years later or didn't try and silence genuine customer concerns and feedback. Thankfully we can say how it is on here without Razbam deleting, what a joke.
  17. Just be advised guys Razbam do not like constructive criticism or questioning their resource base ability to sustain and resolve the issues with this module. I have mentioned a few of the long running bugs and new ones recently on their discord, to alert them and ask as they largely ignore these forums. We've had the owner of Razbam state that he doesn't like to post on here because he cannot control the comments/contents hence why everything goes on their Facebook these days (than in itself should ring alarm bells). Long story short i longed onto my discord over the weekend and noticed that the Razbam symbol had disappeared, tried to rejoin and said i was banned! What a disgrace, no message, no nothing from them just removed like my opinions and genuine bugs ive reported over the years don't matter. i'm glad i live in a country that allows free speech, clearly Razbam do not want this or equally welcome customer feedback. The more Razbam try and silence their genuine, and long standing customers, who equally have been around this genre for nearly 30 years the more they are going to fail as a business. Appalling behaviour - ED need to really start holding this third party dev to account for their quite shocking disregard to genuine issues and zero customer relations.
  18. Ok few other shots these are just south of Ar Raqqah, and lake Assad. Just showing how view distance and slant angle affects the brown looking rivers
  19. What i would say there seems an issue with the tree damage model, i have been in clean air, albeit very low defensive against SA10 etc and have exploded in mid air. Something is slightly wrong with the trees. Sorry this might not be directly related to your video, just stating an issue with the Map
  20. Nothing like Meta play and exploiting the system, why would anyone encourage using an A2G missile for A2A. Play the game as intended, not meta it and cheat.
  21. My install is now circa 270Gb, defo need 500GB SSD these days.
  22. Hawkeye_UK

    F-15E?

I'd be more impressed if they had screenshots of code to be honest alongside this. A 3D texture can do little without the code behind it, and there specifically is the problem. Whilst its a lovely wallpaper, it is just that, a wallpaper without the coding resource behind it.
  23. Its also still the best platform of any aircraft in game for Maritime Strike sorties.
  24. Why has no one mentioned F10 marks on the map and importing them into the data cartridge? Failing that you can just punch them in manually. Viggen excels at high speed interdiction with single strike passes in the right hands. Its speed is its defence. Some of the most exhilarating virtual strike missions are by the Viggen, and certainly alot more skill than just lobbing JSOW's and JDAMS' from 30+ miles away which allows poor virtual pilots the ability to strike any targets from stand off.
  25. Somehow missed this when i checked through the list of issues - iv'e put out my own post but included a picture for ease. But yes its not just this lake its all of them, they all need review. Apologies for the double post as i like to check first to make sure its not already reported but yes agreed genuine issue!
