  1. The 190s will be somewhat familiar to you from the P51, they are fast, not the greatest at turning (worse than the P51), prone to accelerated stalls, super roll rate, and a bit higher caliber guns. Great cockpits and very easy to fly. Spitfire however is a beauty in the air, will turn on a dime, respectable roll rate (clipped wing is an amazing roll), nice guns although no gyro sight, and not the fastest.
  2. Viper pilots have commented many times now that it’s way too easy to Black out in the DCS Viper. I hope this will be updated eventually. It should be possible to sustain 9 g for more than 5 seconds before passing out
  3. In the future it will make an offset point wherever it looks, requiring cursor zero to recenter it on the steerpoint. Failing to cursor zero may throw off the entire flight plan.
  4. It works perfectly fine assigning it to a two-way switch or hat. I haven’t noticed any problem getting the elevation where I want it. Not sure why everyone seems to want it on an axis so badly.
  5. How are you designating the targets for the GBU-38s? Only by using targets via they CAS page can you designate multiple targets at once for multiple JDAM release. You can do this either be entering target coordinates manually in the cas page, or via F10 marks and then imported. Via the targeting pod or via waypoint designation, you can only release Bombs against one target at a time.
  6. For JDAM and JSOW only manual release mode currently works. No auto and no loft (you can loft JDAMs manually ok but there is no release mode or cue to help you at this time)
  7. Numbers don’t determine who wins in air combat as much as the pilot. The Anton is loads of fun and has one clear advantage, roll rate, which a good pilot take advantage of by forcing scissor situations and bring able to jink out of plane and force overshoots well. It is also very responsive at high speeds like dives, which is great for more realistic bounce tactics that don’t really happen in DCS. And it takes lots of punishment. I’m happy we have the Anton and it’s a very fun bird when flown to it’s strength.
  8. See this thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=270045 It is still an existing bug.
  9. Regarding adverse yaw, if you bank left without coordinating rudder, the nose will drift right a bit, but since you’re banked left, that means the nose drifts above the horizon, inducing a slight climb briefly before the nose settles again.
  10. Doubt it will have anything more than a hit point system like all other ships. I think AI ground units are due for a damage model update someday but I wouldn’t count on it anytime soon.
  11. With a light load i find it auto rotates. With heavier ordnance load outs I pull the stick back myself at the appropriate speed.
  12. I couldn’t get it resolved. I’ve given up using the MFDs and need to sell my 1 working one. Want it?
  13. So, the main differences between the c-101 and the F-5E as far as training goes would be: F-5 is supersonic, F-5 has a radar, C-101 has VOR and ILS navigation as well as TACAN while F-5 only has TACAN, and C-101 has tons of failures and navigation centered missions and an IFR hood and is really based around being a trainer, while the F-5 would require some mission creation to get there. In my opinion they’re both pretty good for VFR training of general aviation and air/ground combat basics, but the C-101 is way better for IFR and a bit worse for air combat training (radar notwithstanding the thing is an absolute pig).

    TPOD

The whole plane is still work in progress. The TPOD is generally working well but does have some bugs as you have noticed. I’ve found most problems go away if I use a hat switch to slew it rather than an axis.
  15. Regarding a bank initiating a slight climb, this might just be the adverse yaw from uncoordinated turns l. I see the same thing with the F-14.
  16. Seems generally ok to me except the flight model Which seems a little weird right now based on reports. If that continues to be tweaked I think it’ll be ok.
  17. if the Hind is anything like the F-16 release I may just wait a while before buying. Viper is a mess still 6 months later.
  18. Could be he just launched with low weight or something?
  19. I’m guessing but these seem self explanatory to me. Brakes: checked during run-up of engine and during taxi. Parking brake not engaged. Fuel: check fuel state and weight with catapult weight (crewman will hold up a weight board to verify). Canopy: down and locked. Seat: armed and adjusted. Stab aug: stability augmentation on for pitch, roll, yaw. Trim: takeoff trim set. Wings: full forward. Flaps: set as required. Controls: checked for free movement and surface movement. Harness: straps tight (not dcs applicable). Arm: master arm off. Fuel: verify fuel state and landing weight. Hook: as required (down for carrier). Anti-skid: as required (off for carrier, on for field). Wings: full forward. Wheels: gear down. Flaps: down. Autopilot: as required. Auto throttle: as desired. DLC: extended. Harness: tight (not dcs applicable)
  20. No idea why this would be considered arcade, the W key is more arcade than an axis in my opinion. But in any event, I really appreciate you adding it and being so quickly responsive! I wish more developers were this way. I am very impressed.
  21. I would appreciate adding it, just because the only way I can brake the aircraft on landing or taxiing is with a button. Plenty of other modules only have differential braking as well, like the Spitfire or MiG-15 or MiG-21 and all of them have an axis for both wheel brakes in addition to each wheel brakes individually. I don’t see how it would be a problem of confusion specifically to the C-101. I don’t see any one confused about these other aircraft. Edit: also not sure if I’m communicating what I’m looking for. I don’t want anything unrealistic or anything related to steering. Just the ability to apply both brakes the same time using an axis, in addition to the current button option.
  22. In answer to your question, F-16 has had very few feature additions since it was released. No new weapons. Flight model definitely needs tweaking. And with the team pushing hard on the Hornet I think it’s safe to say Viper will progress very slowly this year. That said, if you focus on what it can do (air to air) and not what it can’t, it’s a fun aircraft.
  23. I picked the wrong time to run through the campaign for the first time! This bug is annoying but I have found a couple workarounds. One is to keep wings swept and turn hard as soon as I can move. Then moving away at an angle. Before I get too far the AI starts taxiing and makes more separation for me to move. Or, I can order the AI to go to route, and he’ll start taxiing in his own and then I can move.
  24. I’m not asking about steering, I can steer it just fine. I have VKB rudder pedals that don’t have toe brakes. I use a modifier for differential brakes and on every other module in the game I use another axis for both wheel brakes together. Wondering why C-101 is missing that axis assignment.
  25. Is there an axis bind for both wheel brakes together? I can only see wheel brake left and wheel brake right, as well as a button bind for both wheel brakes, but no axis. Maybe I’m missing it?
