  1. 1. Use CMS Forward, not the Chaff/Flare switch. That’s an emergency switch. CMS Forward will run the selected countermeasure program. 2. DMS Down to switch SOI to the MFD containing the TPOD. TMS Up to stabilize the TPOD. TMS Up again to lock it to area or point track.
  2. By all accounts a very modern capable plane that is a pleasure to fly and has incredible thrust. Pilot interviews all sing the praises of the Eurofighter in air-to-air combat. While my least favorite of the Eurocanards, it would still be a pleasure to get to try it out in DCS. I wonder if they're going to try to model an AESA radar?
  3. Are you trying to use an axis to control the DMT or buttons? The axis is very wonky right now on DMT and TPOD slew. That might explain the stutters.

    Hornet vs Viper

I agree that Viper is better in BVR and BFM. The higher thrust and lower drag means better kinematics for missiles and better performance in BVR maneuvering. In BFM the Viper can manage energy better than the Hornet. In both realms I like the avionics and HOTAS on the Viper much better. The two advantages to the Hornet - more missiles, better control at high AoA - don't make up for the Viper's advantages IMO.
  5. Is it possible you have Game Mode turned on? If so, Game mode and Simulation mode have different sets of bindings, and multiplayer enforces simulation mode, so if you go back into single player you may be jumping back into game mode which has no bindings set. Check in the options menu.
  6. Use the mouse to rotate the view so it's facing backward. It's not really a look back key, it's a fixed external view that can be moved and rotated.
  7. If this is the question, the best we have in DCS is premade paid campaigns. I’ve seen no plans or mention of any new features for that. The only thing close to what you asked about is the dynamic campaign system which is why it was the only thing I could think to mention.
  8. Point Track mode will lock onto a vehicle and track it even if it moves, until you mask the pod and obscure the picture. The pod will track the target even after weapon release, all the way until it is destroyed and there is no longer anything to track :music_whistling:
  9. A dynamic campaign system is in development. Not a lot is known about it and there is no release date yet, before you ask. I would give it a year or two before we see it.
  10. This is why stable is pointless, open beta gets new updates, fixes, and features sooner.
  11. Eventually, yes, they must plan to implement most or all of them. On the A-10C and KA-50 every avionics page and feature are implemented, and we are all assuming the same for the F/A-18 and F-16, eventually, because that's the standard we have seen in the past.
  12. This has been brought up a lot in the Wishlist section. The real jet operates with a spring-centering two-way axis, not a wheel, so that is how the developers implemented it in the Sim as well. I recommend using a two-way button or hat switch that returns to center, so you can move the radar in the same way as the jet.
  13. This literally just got changed/fixed in the latest update. I'm satisfied. TDC depress locks a target now, while "CS8" toggles between STT and TWS lock. It's mislabeled in the manuals and guides because it was that way until last Friday.
  14. Hi Yo-yo, great to hear it. Can you share how far along the new engine model is? Will we see it before the P-47, at least, or is it set to come with the P-47, or some time after?
  15. Of course, many different possibilities, just one example.
  16. This is real behavior based on interviews I've read. The fixed setting is achieved by using the pushbutton on the MFD. The temporary change is achieved via the cursor/enable button being held. This is so you can quickly lock something up on radar, uncage the AIM-9 seeker to a second target with cursor/enable, fire, then release and slave to the radar target again and fire quickly at 2 targets.

    TPOD Help

If the waypoints are directly and precisely over the targets, then it should work well. I would guess that the waypoints aren't precisely over the targets, but slightly to the side. Either way, if it's close enough, slave the tpod to the waypoint, slew over the target, press TDC Depress to make a new target point, then uncage the Maverick to that new point.
  18. Indeed, check engine RPM/fuel flow to see your throttle position. As far as I know no throttle has clicks in the way you describe only at the afterburner detent, so if you want it you may need to DIY it on a home throttle. If you're looking for more precision on your throttle i would also recommend upgrading to a HOTAS stick and throttle rather than just a joystick with a little slider on it. Using your whole hand and having the longer throw or a throttle will add much more precision.
  19. To add on, I don't think any of these aircraft have autopilot ILS approaches that I'm aware of. The F-14 has an automatic carrier landing system using the ICLS but I think that's it. I'm sure new planes like the F-35 have these autopilot systems but everything we have in DCS (except for the JF-17 I guess) was designed in the 80s or earlier.
  20. No need to bind waypoint up/down, the existing HOTAS button Waypoint Increment is plenty for this task without deviating from realistic bindings
  21. This is seemingly asked every day, and for Russian aircraft the answer is definitely not due to legal issues with the Russian government.
  22. For waypoint slaving , make sure the waypoints have altitude set to the ground and not thousands of feet in the air.
  23. Steering order confuses the heck out of me. If it’s implemented right, I’d love an explanation or video about it from someone.
  24. If you can post a video or track we might be able to tell what’s going wrong. Common culprits would be laser code on bomb and tpod not matching, laser set to training or marker, laser set too ranging not firing
  25. This was a design feature of the aircraft and other similarly small light weight fighters... small visual and radar size. It should be smaller than most modules in the game. Tiger, mirage, hornet, mig-21, al small fighters should be on the smaller side of rcs as well.
