  1. I very much hope the module gets a full campaign eventually built in. I believe all modules ought to come with one and I find myself disappointed with those that don’t.
  2. You can use the cursor/enable key on the throttle to activate bore/slave while held.
  3. I don’t think it’s been out long enough to have participated in any sales yet and it would not have been half off on its own since it’s a brand new module
  4. There is no hotas command for this for whatever reason. But with the tpod loaded there’s little reason to ever switch to the dmt since it has the same capabilities but also much more. Just keep the pod in HTS mode (double-click sensor select depress) and that way you won’t accidentally switch to dmt with sensor select down.
  5. Beta vs stable version Has no bearing on the completeness off a newly released module. These are all early access work in progress issues in a very newly released in development version of the software.
  6. It’s the way it is because, I presume, this is what the documentation and/or subject matter experts tell ED this is how it works. If you have contradictory information please share it. Otherwise they are simulating the systems as accurately as they can. The Hornet has lots of little avionics quirks and this may just be one of them.
  7. No idea if anything was changed lately but I am also imagining some better ability to keep a constant power setting in landing config. I nailed an ok 3 wire today which I basically never hit.
  8. I will eagerly await the Supercarrier version to try it out.
  9. Every aircraft has cockpit gauge lighting and most have flood lighting except (I think) the FC3 aircraft.
  10. Mavericks or Laser guided bombs are your best choice in the Hornet.
  11. Source for this? I’ve been flying the Viggen tons and completed the campaigns for it, never had issues with weapons hitting on target, and I don’t think I’ve ever switched to LD. I leave it on RHM all the time.
  12. This behavior is intended. This is how things work in the Viper. What’s missing is the functionality to zero the steerpoint offset afterward. Which makes using the tpod right now a very frustrating experience.
  13. Cbu-99 damage is poor right now. Will only really work vs light skinned vehicles. But the only effective settings are these: VT release, height set to 1500. Dive at 30 degrees and release then at around 2500 ft
  14. Indeed it sounds like your tdc button or axis assignment is inverted.
  15. The large cross on the Maverick screen is not new, it indicates the seeker head line of sight relative to the missile boresight. If it’s low, the target is below the missile boresight and the seeker head is looking down at it. It also indicates the best parameters to fire, if the cross is near the center horizontally and looking down or at the center vertically.
  16. Bombs when it’s safe to overfly the target and the weather permits laser guidance. Missile when you need to attack from stand-off range.
  17. Not at this time. Hopefully someday.
  18. “Target distance” under the k-14 section of the controls.
  19. I’ve never seen a patch note that mentioned the G limiter and have no reason to think it would have been changed. But I seldom use it myself so I can’t say for sure. I know you have to hold it down, not just tap it, are you doing that?
  20. If you’re entering wingspan, it sounds like you’re using the funnel rather than the radar sight. The funnel is tricky, you’ll need to line up the wingspan with the edges of the funnel in the same plane of motion, pull forward a bit so the target wings are a little outside the funnel edges, then fire and relax G and let the target fly through your bullets. Or lock them with the radar ACM modes and put the thing on the thing and fire. Much easier :)
  21. My problem is hitting the target. Using manual guidance it seems to wobble around a lot. If I manage to lock onto a vehicle target, it seems to track until right before it hits then it misses short or long a little. There must be some bugs with guidance.
  22. The HUD FLIR isn’t meant for spotting ground targets. It’s meant for navigation at night and at low-level. For spotting ground targets you would be using the targeting pod or the HUD hotspot detector (not implemented, possibly never implemented at this rate...)
  23. Carrier is always turned into the wind.
  24. I don’t think tdc down ever designated before except for JDAMs? Just moving the tpod to a spot with area or point track should slave the dmt to that spot as well, and the spi should be at that spot. No need to do anything but drop the bomb.
  25. With night lighting everything gets dimmer so as not to blind you when looking through NVGs. I’m not sure the HUD FLIR is designed to be used during the daytime like this. In a pinch you can use the FLIR mfd page.
