  1. Oh ok. Sorry! There is/was a virtual VF-111 Sundowners but anything else, I don't know.
  2. Do you mean, virtual squadrons?
  3. I see what you did there, and I applaud it!
  4. The LSO is calling everything except a Hornet slow. Ignore that call for now until they get it fixed.
  5. Yeah, I figured that out the hard way. Trying to keep it as close to IRL and what my memory serves up, I just set it directly on the angle and 15-20 knots works. It's beyond that that it gets sporty, which makes for great training but sucks.
  6. You're welcome! She had 2 bags on the wings, clean centerline! royal jordanian air force f-16 - Bing images
  7. Yeah, it's a small thing! The wind will never be perfectly down the angle and don't forget, someone's on the bridge steering (IRL). There are monitors in Pri-Fly that have the winds indicator according to the angle and bow. Depending on the sea state, it's fair game! In DCS mission editor, just use the ruler to mark down the angle and that will show you what degrees you want to set your wind. How strong is up to you of course. But be aware of the burble. I once set the winds too strong, and it kicked my ass!
  8. Winds down the angle are optimal. There will always be a crosswind component, but ship will always steam into the wind. A launch is preceded by a recovery. During that time, the ship is into the wind. After the recovery, the ship will turn back to what is called "PIM" or position of intended movement. This is due to a lot of things up to and including sea space. When the next event starts, the ship will turn back into the wind for that launch and recovery. Wash, rinse, repeat! Oh, the course the carrier gives you is the heading of the ship. I hope that helps.
  9. I'm like you brother. And now I'm curious. I've only found a pic with 4 Mk.84 and that was circa 2015 after the RJAF pilot was captured. I also found this with an ECM pod: royal jordanian air force f-16 - Bing images Other than this, which you've probably already seen, there are little to no pics of A/G ordnance...crazy!
  10. You learn something new every day. Thank you, brother!

  12. Trim should be set to 0 on the CAT shot. Nearing the end of the stroke, apply a little aft stick. IRL it looks like a lot of aft stick but in DCS little to none really is ok. But you may be trimmed up a bit so check that trim gauge and that should do the trick.
  13. I don't remember Wag's saying that either. It is in Chucks guide as well that you do not trim for landing.
  14. Never assume at all. That leads to troubles. For the Viper there is no need to trim for landing. Once the gear comes down, it takes care of itself! Adjust your throttle to set the AOA at 11 degrees.
  15. Happens with the Tomcat as well on the SC and Forrestal.
  16. I'm loving the entire pack. If it is yours, much thanks man!
  17. I fly a slightly fast (AOA) approach when entering the groove. When you know the burble is near, don't cut power, that's a death sentence. Never push forward on the stick either (not that way anyway). Reduce power a bit and the put power back on when you see and hear the airframe shudder (always keep the throttle moving). I like to "ride the wave" so to speak. Let the burble work for you. Hold what you have in the middle. The AOA will show you fast. Use DLC a bit (not too much) and keep the power in, no more no less (for you to decide). If you find yourself with a fast AOA in close but meatball and lineup are sufficient, don't worry anything else because next is the downdraft. Power thru that and work the DLC. Consistency will have you landing with an amber donut after time! LSO's gonna call you slow anyway lol. One of the problems in DCS is that we cannot "feel" the airframe slowing down. Use the peripherals (shuddering airframe and engine noise) to help you. This is my technique BTW. I'm no pilot IRL so I'm not an SMO. Also, I fly the "A" more than the "B". You have to stay ahead of the power curve, especially in the A! I hope this helps!
  18. If you can get one, a stick extension helps! I put aside my TMWH setup and got the WINWING Super Taurus/Libra setup and it made the difference. At least, for me! It even helps with my WWII warbirds. I did feel tense when using the TMWH, maybe it is the short throw I had (no stick extension). There are other alternatives, but I would definitely try out one with an extension. I was decent with the TM Warthog, but I am better now with my current rig. From there, it's all fingers! I no longer hold my stick with a death grip! But as @SharpeXB was saying, practice is key! Good Luck!
