This is some Pilot error stuff! And a few are overcomplicating a very easy thing!
-
Not too sure about that. I was stationed in Misawa (Wild Weasel heaven), and it seemed pretty standard! Also, the key word being "combat", in 20 years I've never seen an aircraft go on a strike without a drop tank or 2 bud!

Thank you for the information. I have your SCANG and 79th packs and look forward to more of your work...this looks badass BTW!

Your skins are awesome! Between your skins and the HTS and ECM pods, it really feels and looks like a Block 50! Thank you! Question: Is the USAF now decorating helmets? I was looking at photos of other squadrons and it looks that way...looks like my Navy now!

Looks good to me! Hats off to you, I dipped my toe into Photoshop, but I could not find where to get started! I call your livery a success! -

This is some of the sexiest stuff that I've seen! Nice work gents! -
Lights on deck on a carrier, day or night IRL, signals to the deck crew "loss of brakes"! As soon as an aircraft traps, the pilot extinguishes his/her external lights. If he or she leaves them on, it gets everyone on deck ready to start grabbing chocks and chains. The Landing/taxi light is way too bright to be used on deck anyway. They test it for a second during starts and it is bright!

That would be awesome except that the Photo thing is all over the reviews from Amazon. To me, it's not worth the risk. I do not have Alexa and I keep all of my privacy and security settings with those things off or turned down. Amazon collects enough data; I'm not going to add to it! I'm a minimalist and very private! Thanks for the information though, I really appreciate it!

If only it were that simple. I don't take photos and put them on the internet. According to some reviews, FB wants a photo to verify who you are! For a game?! I read about people making dummy accounts and getting locked out. There was some other questionable stuff also. Thanks, but no, it just doesn't sit right in my soul what they are doing over there at FB! I think I'll go with the either the G2 or the Pixma.

I was looking at the Pimax. The price is just a tad bit more than the HP Reverb. Question, how do you guys use VR in DCS? I see theses headsets come with hand controllers. How do you use your keyboards? Are the hand controllers necessary?

You are right! Will correct! CPU: i7-8700k @3,70 GHz GPU: GeForce RTX 2080TI RAM: 32GBCrossair Vengeance ddr4 at 2400 mega Hz SSD: 1.81 TB I think I was getting frustrating reading reviews before I typed it! Thank you to all who have already replied. I really appreciate it! Thank you! The privacy and security concerns are mine as well!

CVN-71 Theodore Roosevelt has extra "Sheaves"
Jackjack171 replied to GazAce's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yeah, the E-2 and the Tilly should swap. Also, the boom on the crane is always facing outboard, over the water. We have to back the crane out whenever we use it. This is one of the better ones that I've seen. The safe parking lines are not being encroached upon! @AG-51_Razoris spot on! -
If I am in the wrong forum, my apologies! I'm in here mostly (Tomcat is my favorite module) so I figured I'd ask here. Moderators feel free to kick this wherever! I have been looking at VR lately as Track IR has "limits"! I've been looking into the Oculus types but just found out that you need Facebook to log into it. I do not have Facebook, nor do I intend on getting it. Can anyone recommend a VR Headset? What I need, what I don't need? Thank you in advance!

Wise choice my friend...welcome aboard! Fly her like you stole her!

I feel like I know who you are. I was on the Nimitz in Bremerton next door to the Stennis. And I've tripped over plenty tie downs as well, going to and from the Crash Shack! Lighting always sucks back there!
-
IRL we wouldn't take a bird that shot up! Landing gear, single engine all can be dealt with. Flight control surfaces AFU at the boat is bad for so many reasons!

If you look closely, that's where the Barricade stanchions are. That wire is rarely used but @draconusis right. Not all wires are used all of the time. Sometimes they have a maintenance issue and have to be short stripped (detached and wrapped around the sheaves). Sometimes the engine is offline for whatever reason. There were several times when only 2 wires where on-line. I wait for the day that this can be modeled in DCS. Like Biggie said, "it was all a dream"! On a pedantic note, your Helo hold is backwards, and your crane is pointed in the wrong direction! TheE-2 and Crane should swap places. -
Thanks @Northstar98 Indeed!
-
In the Official News there was a pic of it. I'd hate to be so pedantic but does the ECM pod look shorter than it should be? Or is this a different pod? R.jfif

With a laundry list of things for the SC, I wasn't going to say anything but, can we get the ability to power down and power up the lens? it is always on, which is not the case IRL.

We also need Arming on the CAT and the De-arm, after the recovery! That would be great!

I get it, and he "fixed" himself! There's a way to ask for things and not sound like a total tool. I've spent a lot of money as well, but I would not approach the Devs that way...it screams entitlement! Enough said there. Fly Navy!
