I'm sure ED will get around to it but since it doesn't really mean anything (there's plenty of weapons to get your jollies off to) and its low priority, I'm sure those that don't care won't mind waiting a bit longer! Napalm would be cool, but I can wait!

reported F-14 Supercarrier compatibility
Jackjack171 replied to Reflected's topic in Bugs and Problems
Have you tried to PM the Devs? If not, I'd suggest trying that because coming here saying the same thing is insanity! I'm sure they will get to it amongst the laundry list of things that they have to implement and fix! -
If I am reading you correctly, you are looking for this profile: Logitech X56 Profile and Control Options/Key Binds .lau files by PoppaCapnurass (digitalcombatsimulator.com) Some users have the ThrustMaster Warthog setup as I do. I'm not sure which came first, but it looks like the TMWH was designed for the A-10 in DCS or vice/versa. I hope this helps!

Has anyone heard as to when the Taurus or Libra mounts will be available to use with this? I'd love to get this, but I'd hate to go back to my control being on top of my desktop.

I'm not sure if this is the same guy but here is one: A-10C II - 122nd FW Indiana ANG 100th Anniversary (digitalcombatsimulator.com)

in progress ITR and G-Onset update, release date ?

It is in very poor taste to try and tell someone else how to run their company and operations! Come on bro... you guys can't be that impatient! -
Thank you! Awesome! So, I have my Warthog setup with Monstertech desk attachments. I hate my controls on the desktop! Which attachments do I get, the Taurus for the throttle and the Libra for the stick? Or is that even an option for the Orion?
-
Thank you! I'm getting it! It was either that or the F/a-18 HOTAS for my Harrier/Hornet but I barely fly those.

That used to be called a "blue water divert". Paddles is not the final say in whether the bird can come aboard. The tower rep will talk to the crew, there may be an airborne inspection from another jet and then ultimately, the CO of the ship will decide! Just piggy backing Micr0. All of this is IRL of course!
-
It looks pretty decent IMO. I've had my Warthog for some time now and it's still great, especially with the Tank Killer but the immersion of a full F-16 HOTAS is interesting. I also have the Virpil Tomcat grip. I like to get lost in the sauce lol!!!! Awesome! Do you have everything mapped just like IRL?

Hello all, Has anyone gotten the F-16 HOTAS yet? I'm thinking of getting it and would like to know other thoughts, comments etc. Thanks!

I normally would stay part of the silent majority but not now. It seems some need to circle back to what Early access is! ED has never just forgot about anything! But this also goes back to the "can't please everyone" line. Updates or no updates=rage! A product put out as wished but still not up to snuff for some=rage! I've purchased every EA bird...including the Apache! And I'm still having fun with them all! I only notice discrepancies when I come to the forums for crying out loud! Have some faith guys! And have some fun! Let the Devs work! The job is probably hard enough without all of the added heat of having to answer questions to the few that very well knew what "Early access" means! No disrespect to anyone, just my 2 cents! -

Another masterpiece! Thank you! -
No worries brother! I served on a Gator once upon a time as well as with some of your brothers and sisters in VMFA-323! One team, one fight!

Good catch! From a Flight Deck Chief!

My last combat deployment was in 2017. On the Air Plan, the CAP was called DCA. I'm not sure where they went exactly but it wasn't like your traditional CAP from the 80's. or Top Gun and such. For the amount of time that they were gone, I believe that they went inland. This was really close to the time that that Super Hornet shot down that Syrian SU-22! A 24-hour CAP would leave you with no deck reset, which is important for a variety of reasons! After recovery, we set alerts for the remainder of the night! When Flight quarters is called in the AM, the Alerts were stood down or downgraded. This happened every day! Since the "threat" was/is different, the CVBG was no longer worried about Backfire bombers and such! On the days that we did not fly, the Alerts are set as well! Now that's a 24-hour thing! An Iranian drone got close to the carrier several times as well as low flying helicopters. We launched the Alerts a few times. It's just a different time now. True story, (ten years ago) we launched alerts in the Sea of Japan for a Russian Bear, a few minutes later, I got my first glimpse of a real Bear bomber in formation with our alert birds that we had just launched! The only time that I've been on a non-combat deployment was in the FDNF! But even then, we never ran 24/7 CAP. It's just not practical! Keep in mind, I'm not a pilot, just an old Flight Deck Chief! I hope this helps you guys with your mission creations!

Thank you for the graph and stating this. IRL, it is rare to see all the ships in the CVBG unless it's a dog and pony show going on or a PhotoEx! My only concern (not really) is the 24-hour CAP! I think that maybe from back in the day! We stopped flying usually after 0100/0200. That gives night check a chance to reset the deck for the next day! After the last recovery (Final, final) we wrap it up and position the Alerts in spots where they can immediately be launched! Spot on otherwise!

I could be wrong, but it seems that APC was yesterday's Auto throttle of today! I have an old F-4J NATOPS (I'm a part time geek) and I used to fly a very nice F-4B/N and S in another sim. I used APC a couple of times! The APC to me was just like auto throttle! I use it in the HB F-14 occasionally! There's something about those old jets!

Not stupid at all, my friend. The only stupid question is the one not asked!
-
I'm curious myself! In addition to the new paint jobs, the USAF is decorating helmets now it seems! It's kind of awesome but I wonder, what's going on in the USAF now?!
-
Short answer: The Navy and USMC train together. The USMC is falls under the Department of the Navy! That's why you will see VMFAT-101 train Navy guys. Look at a VFA-106 legacy bird and you will see Marines on one side and Navy on the other on some jets! Same with the T-45's! We ride together, we die together, bad boys for life! Sorry, I couldn't help myself!

Eh, I was decently close lol. Yup!
