A call for reload IRL is just that. The drum for Vulcan takes up a sizeable portion of the inside of the inside of a m113. I can't remember what the ammo storage looked like on the towed Vulcans. I don't know the crew drill for reloading the Vulcan but based on other air defense crew drills(on patriot, reload crews are given an hour to reload a single launcher), it would include a call to the reload crew who would have to drive out to the Vulcan, drop the rear ramp on the m113 and feed a crapload of ammo into the drum. It's not a matter of simply swapping magazines

Do you have a citation on where you found that time? Ive been around both the trailer mounted and apc mounted versions, and from what i saw of the inside of the m113, i could see a call for reload taking 20 minutes, but ive never seen the reload drill being done so i could be wrong

I don't think they will till hind rollout, or 4th quarter this year

Didn't know u could name planes. Don't know why you would. My wife wouldn't care the least bit regardless of what I named mine

initially i hated the gazelle. couldnt even get it to take off, id just touch the collective and the engine output would peg at 110% and then the whole thing would crash. turned out (and i couldnt surmise it so easily at the time cuz with the original vive, reading gauges was near impossible and i dont think VR zoom had been implemented yet. then i realized my collective slider was inverted. clicked the "invert axis" checkbox on axis tuning, and the helo flew like a dream after the MI8, i can fly by instruments alone, sedately flipping switches and tuning radios at my leisure. Gazelle? i have to fly by watching outside the helo and not focus on instruments they give two different experiences. gazelle is closest we have to a "little bird" and its fun to fly it like one, at rooftop level or down the streets i really need to master gunnery with it tho. KA50 is pretty rock solid and steady as you acquire, pop up& fire and then drop back down. Gazelle? its like a 5 year old with ADHD hopped up on caffeine and tossed in a toy store

Thank you Tokoyami.i understand the principle youre coming from. For me, the two questions i ask myself with an EA module are "am i enjoying myself?" (An A380 sim could be super realistic and feature complete but would be as exciting as watching paint dry for me, also its possible for a module to be so realistic that it becomes too frustrating to feel like learning...like reading a book, you might know its a good story but if the first couple chapters are crap, do you still want to keep reading? Happened to me with James Clavell. I loved shogun, wathed the series a bunch of times, read the book even more times. Went to read "whirlwind ", should've enjoyed it- i love the middle east, enjoy clavells writing...got 1/4 thru the book and realized i didn't care at all aboutthe characters and was ambivalent to what happened to them. Never read a single page further of it) Second thing i ask myself is "if the dev fell off the face of the earth, would i regret owning this module in its current state" Because ive enjoyed the gazelle, and by all appearances KW will be an incremental improvement, im confident that ill find it money well spent I think Laobi put it best in his EA disclaimer starting at the 7:33 mark in this video:

Doubtful. Raz has more irons in the fire than perhaps anyone else at the moment

Sooo youre saying it would fit right in, then! (&no, i prefer not to dump on the fine work that ED does, but i just couldn't resist!)

On the latest stable release, lighting is fine. I would assume OB would return to that

ive played around with the idea of doing one for the F-16 or the c-101 as a stand in for other aircraft. i havent dug too deep into it yet tho. lack of native arabic speakers to voice the comms ive also considered f-16 campaign on the syrian map if i can find israelis to lend their voice

Spring Tension campaign mission 18 problem
ngreenaway replied to MAXsenna's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
So, it appears I must've done spring tension on 2.5.5 rather than 2.5.6 I fired it up last night and had the same issue you did In ME,I was able to move me&wingman but I only started the mission and flew for a minute or two,not long enough to see if I broke any triggers -
Pickle got to it before I did, glad u got the answer u needed

Spring Tension campaign mission 18 problem
ngreenaway replied to MAXsenna's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
I was on the current stable . I can give it a try again this evening. Here's my suggestion: copy that mission to ur "my missions" directory, edit the mission to move your retarded wingman to start well away from you, fly the mission and then update your logbook.lua to reflect that u flew the mission...that should allow u to continue the campaign without skipping a mission
