  1. I've completed two missions so far. It seems that Cerberus is among the top-tier of single player content in DCS. The voice acting so far is not an issue. (I have read that others have problems with the volume of the speakers, but I haven't had that issue. May just be my particular settings. Also the text shows as they're speaking and the messages history that ED implemented helps too) I had to do the second mission twice (mistakes I made) and the wingman had different lines of dialogue depending on how successful I was with the mission plan. Good stuff. In a lot of the other campaigns, if you stray from the scripted scenario or fail one objective, the rest of the mission is silent.
  2. Makes sense. Will we have to input bullseye coordinates each time?
  3. From the store page: Requires DCS World version 2.7.11 or above!
  4. The documentation states that it is available but not required. Some missions are broken into multiple parts so that you can quit and start after the AAR sequence.
  5. I'm on this mission currently. (I am repeating it because I need to practice my CCIP skills because I'm falling a little short. Also, are these bombs supposed to explode or are they training bombs? I have the fuses set but I just get a little poof) Anyway, back to your question, the canyon run is a lot of fun. I got good remarks from Poodle. If you turn on Auto for the waypoint sequence on the HSI, it shows a dotted line to follow. Just put it at 5 mile scale and use that on the left or right display instead of trying to visually follow each curve of the river, which will not be possible at 400 knots. Btw, I can tell this campaign is going to be amazing.
  6. It doesn't seem like this campaign has been released yet?
  7. Only speaking as someone who purchased Cerberus, read quite a bit of the documentation, and played just a few minutes of the first mission to get a taste: The amount of documentation is exemplary - they explain the geopolitical context, all procedures in effect for your air base and other parts of the region, rules of engagement, potential threats, etc, in addition to the documents for each mission. The voice acting in the few minutes I played seemed good. With the amount of care evident in what I've experienced so far leads me to believe that there is little to no chance of this campaign being a "dud". (I chose this one first out of the three newly-released campaigns because I wanted action on the Syria map and because I'm well-versed in the Hornet at the moment) Edit - I'd like to play the first mission tonight if I have time and can update with my thoughts if I do.
  8. Isn't that the cardinal direction in relation to bullseye?
  9. Thanks for the campaigns! Some good ones - I had to choose which to do first!
  10. You must be new to VR. That's what it looks like all the time if you want good frame rates.
  11. Agreed. I can AAR, but like CHiIING, I don't find it especially fun. Cold starts, on the other hand, are almost a must for me. I get everything set how I like it, and it really helps with systems familiarity. And it helps with the oft-mentioned "immersion" factor.
  12. After purchase and downloading, I checked out the included documentation. Holy cow! This fortifies my thoughts that campaigns are the best value for your dollar in this sim. Just amazing.
  13. Just toggle it off again.
  14. Thanks! Next, can you show me how to send a fax with my iPhone?
  15. In theory this would be nice, but wouldn't this break every single player campaign that they sell for the map?
  16. Isn't that how it should always act? I've always noticed the VV rising when increasing throttle in any module featuring a VV.
  17. Submarine Aren't the terms defined in the mission briefing documents?
  18. Meh, I've never really considered basic understanding of cardinal directions to be very crucial skill set for a pilot.
  19. And some single player campaigns!
  20. Yes, that's always how it is.
  21. How certain are you that you aren't actually a robot? Maybe that's your issue
  22. Micro Center is a small US chain, of which there is a location near me that I frequent (and they have a web store). I highly recommend them. I think they also sell through Amazon but you can just use their website.
  23. I will buy this campaign with money.
