Awesome game. Even my wife loves it, and she has gotten already further than I have (she's past Jeff, kicking major butt in HL:A right now).

I don't have that "wow" factor anymore - it turned into my expectation now towards that I cannot fly outside of VR anymore. So the wow became the expected norm, and it's still a stunning experience, each and every time. I still feel like I am being there and I don't want to miss that. As a side note, I cannot wait for the new HP Reverb G2. :)

I once had a failing TM Warthog throttle that - once it got really bad - dropped chaff/flares when trying to extend the airbrake (and vice versa). Turned out that either a broken wire or solder was the problem. After replacing the throttle with a new one, no more issues. Just a thought - maybe OP has a similar issue that's creeping up.

+1 If not for BS2, then it should be standard for BS3.

To be fair, they used OpenGL before switching to Vulkan, not DX11. OpenGL is kinda low on the totem pole to begin with, and huge gains going to Vulkan make sense. Not sure if we can expect to see those from DX11 to Vulkan...

Probably used to map functions on our joysticks (the gaming device, not mimicking the real life HOTAS setup) to make it a little easier on us.

You can of course play the slot machine multiple times and see what you get before you land. I played until I got wheels down and landed. Other tries yielded engine damage, flaps or brake coming out instead... lots of fun to be had. Puts you into a nice little panic mode when on final. I think ED did brilliant in this April Fools joke.

We finally got some classified content in our MFDs - no wonder it was top secret for so long. Gambling in the cockpit prior to landing and hoping the gear comes down is nothing for the faint of heart. :lol:

Same here. Full fidelity DCS modules take plenty of time to develop. My guess is middle to late 2022 for early access.

That seems to be the case. FBW planes also usually actively counter most inertia, so they feel a lot more "on rails".
