  1. Points well made. Totally agree.
  2. @Ramsay: If that would get fixed as you suggested, the whole ILS approach concept would make a lot more sense in the M2000. I never knew what I was chasing with that dashed line in its current state. :)
  3. Was the call made to ATC to request landing?
  4. With that level of quality, I would gladly pay for that. Good idea, actually!
  5. @Timghetta: Fantastic work on the M2000C pilot; love the subtle and realistic animations while flying. Really looking forward to this one as well.
  6. "Totally unplayable" is a strange statement to make, as it generally works just fine in VR (for me). I tested several quick action missions since 2.5.6 (as well as after today's patch), and they feel as smooth as before (keeping SSLR off). I haven't tried MP in ages, maybe it's different there?
  7. No, the cockpit graphics update didn't affect Auto Hover; still works as well as it did before.
  8. Well said. I do a lot of fremdschämen for those who constantly complain here. I mean, I try to imagine my life without my DCS hobby, and I would sorely miss it. I cannot even express how happy I am with DCS and the quality of the modules ED provides. All the new updates towards an even better DCS are greatly appreciated as well. So, Rock On, ED. (also, thanks for BigNewy, Nineline, et al to keep patiently moderating these forums)
  9. I was about to suggest that as well. Guess that's the RL thing to do when it's too bright outside.
  10. Well, the OP said the HUD is too small, but it's not; it's the same as it always was. So, how helpful could a reply be when the HUD is just fine... and OP didn't provide anything else to further his point?
  11. I always do (repair, del fxo/metashaders2) - and I am not complaining, only pointing out that the AP lights work well now as advertised by ED.
  12. If the modders keep up with the development cycle, why not?
  13. No, it's not:
  14. Works perfectly well - just like before. Check the cockpit switches on the left panel and make sure your mappings don't interfere with the Shkval not turning on.
  15. Ah yes, the standard procedure after each DCS update: 1) Repair 2) Remove fxo and metaschaders2 folders 3) Run DCS Became second nature for me.
  16. Perfectly clear and bright running the Ka-50 Quick Action Mission "Free Flight" on the Normandy map.
  17. I agree - sounds more indicative as to what's going on.
  18. Agreed. Would be nice to have those posts sticky'ed here as well, in the "Official Updates" section of this very forum. Maybe ED believes that the most vocal crowd is over on reddit, and that they have to cater to that noise? Dunno...
  19. From the newsletter: Improved Environment Lighting We have worked hard to increase the range and visibility of lights to enhance the night flying experience. We know that it is far from perfect and will continue to improve the look and feel at night. I assume you're aware that ED keeps continuing to update their releases, right? :)

    What is SSLR?

    That would be brilliant indeed!
  21. Amen to that.
  22. To clarify - please read this: Discount towards VKB F-14 Grip: "Customers who purchased the DCS F-14 module from the Heatblur or Eagle Dynamics stores respectively, will receive 10% off of the grip’s retail price during checkout." Discount towards DCS F-14 Module: "Customers who purchase a Gunfighter Mk.III ‘F-14 Edition’ or a F-14 Combat Grip (Stand-Alone) without applied discount – and have not yet bought the Heatblur DCS F-14 module – will receive a $10 USD discount towards the DCS F-14 module on Heatblur’s store, courtesy of Heatblur. VKB HQ will email these coupon codes to qualified customers."

    What is SSLR?

If FS2020 can, DCS should follow suit down the line as well imho.
  24. Nah, most everything looks better. Some tweaks needed here and there, but it's getting there. :)
