Deka Simulations announces the DCS: J-8II for DCS World!
Falconeer replied to Mike_Romeo's topic in DCS: J-8II
Looks very promising Deka! Judging by what you have done when you delivered the awsome JF17, i'm sure this will be an great module aswell!! And haters gonna hate, don't let it get to you guys. You guys are awesome! -

Cockpit is also Block 50/52 standard with dual MFD's. Some versions do have different RWR and CH/FL panel. And our MLU's are 120B/C and 9x capable. And some have a drag chute like you mentioned, but that is optionele, not MLU specific
-
We basicly have a MLU with the Block 50. The MLU upgrade was designed to bring it up to Block 50/52 standards.

The A10C and C II are butter smooth for me. I would even go as far to say these are one of the best running models for me, FPS wise. Make sure you have no mods installed and try to run a repair otherwise
-
The SMS isn't really a screen like a MFD we have now. For the radar, it could track other planes, although basic functions and it lacks features like we have now
-
Well an A model too can have different Blocks, so depending on what you are looking for, i think these are the most noticable: Cockpitwise: As mentioned above, radar display between the pilots legs SMS system consists of push buttons A different side stick and a smaller HUD Consoles are arranged a bit different (no CMDS panel, radios panels, etc) Outside: Different antennas and their locations below intake for example) Different launchers (so no LAU129 launchers) Smaller horizontal stabilizers

Noone has an idea what's causing this?

Hello, i experienced a crash while locking a frigate with SEA radar mode, then slaving WMD7 to the target. As soon as the WMD7 has the ship insight, the entire cockpit begins to flicker in black and soon after CTD's to desktop. I have had some wierd crashes with DCS in the past, but after altering my pagefile (to 32 GB), i haven't experienced crashes until today Through_The_Inferno_CCS_v2.1.6-20230128-182907.trk dcs.log-20230128-175818.zip dcs.log

correct as is RWR Viewport (F_16C_RWR) no longer exporting
Falconeer replied to Enabler's topic in Bugs and Problems
Than change the name in your monitor file so it matches the one in the RWR.ini file or vica versa -
As Frederf mentioned, the release constraint for the GBU12 is way to strict at the moment. You must to be very precise or the bombs won't come off. I created different tracks with GBU38's and GBU12's and the difference is huge! With the GBU38, i can be more then 15 degrees off target and the bombs still release (Yes, i know GBU38 uses LAR.) When dropping GBU12's however, i need to be flying very precise on the bomb fall line, or nothing will happen, same with unguided bombs. This behavior is incorrect was introduced a patch or 2 ago. Even with dumb boms, you should be able to be off the bomb fall line and they should still release. The only thing changing in this scenerio is where you bombs will land. The computer (FCC) does not inhibit weapon release if you are not 100% on the bomb fall line, which it is at the moment. F16-GBU12drop.trk F16-GBU12nodrop.trk F16-GBU38drop.trk

The MFCD is not SOI as mentioned above already. It,s also telling you that, which a big giveaway. Also when you compare your screenshot with the picture from the manual, you are also missing the green square (or as the manual calls it: " the container box") around the TAD. You don't get the green square, because you have the asterisk in your HUD. To make the left MFCD SOI, press and hold Coolie switch left long, press and hold right long for right MFCD. Up short for HUD to be SOI

Ok, this makes me wonder why it is different on like say a F-16 for example? The image will change by cycling w/hot, b/hot. Since the missile is exactly the same and the image you see in the cockpit is coming directly from the missiles seekerhead, should it change on the A10c aswell? Or shouldn't it change on the F16c?
-
Have changed my pagefile to 32Gigs and it seems to be more stable now, thx
-
I noticed in the A10C 2 that when changing the polarity of the Maverick (with the boatswitch), only thing that changes is the color of the crosshair. The screen itself stays the same, unlike for example in the F-16 where you can clearly see the difference between W/hot-B/hot. If i set TGP as SOI and change polarity, the screen changes from W/hot to B/hot I tried with both the IR and TV guided versions. Is this intentional or is it a bug? If intentinonal, why is this different between the modules, since the weapon is exactly the same

No, no overclocking, everything is stock

Since a patch or 2 ago, i have these weird random crashes. It can crash when i go to external view, or just when flying from inside the cockpit. Sometimes DCS crashes after half a hour, other times DCS crashes after 2 hours of flying. I have run a repair several times and last night, DCS crashed again. And it starts to get a bit frustrating. It also doesn't matter which module i'm flying. So far i had crashes with A-10C, F-16, JF-17 and Apache. Also have Military aircraft mod removed, just to be sure System: * Intel i5 7600k @ 3.8GHz * 32GB RAM DDR4 * RTX3060 12 GB * DCS installed on Samsung EVO 960 SSD dcs.log dcs2.log dcs3.log dcs.20230112-205040.crash dcs.20230108-200835.crash dcs.20230107-193627.crash dcs.20230107-193626.crash dcs.log-20230106-192117.zip dcs.20221231-201250.crash dcs.20221230-194722.dmp dcs.20221230-194722.crash dcs.20221229-195253.crash dcs.log-20221228-183458.zip dcs.log-20221102-173020.zip

try to set the trim, before enabling the ATT hold mode
-
Im still strugling to figuring out which trimmer mode to use on my Warthog stick. Having to return the stick to center, when you need small corrections is very hard sometimes, whilst having the system to "overcompensate" when you use instant trim gives a wobbling and unstable flight. The problems you mentioned is the reason why i stick to instant trim for now. It may be a bit unstable, but atleast my stick reacts when i want it to

Thanks, will try this when i get home again
