  1. No, i think you are mixing things up. Expand or RAID is a submode for RWS or TWS to be able to sort out targets flying close together, like the F16 or F18. It zooms (or expands) the area around your radar cursor But our Jeff doesn't have such feature than?
  2. Yes, they are also called "JFS-brake" accumulators
  3. Only other aircraft i know are the KF-16 Block 52's. They are Lantirn capable with TFR and FLIR
  4. It's an early F16 A/B model. All F16's started with basicly this cockpit, until later Blocks and upgrades like MLU. None of these older Vipers were equiped with LANTIRN The place where now the left MFD is actually your SMS page. It has small push buttons with small light bulbs in it. I remember replacing these small light bulbs The greenish screen between the guys knees, is the radar scope.
  5. If i'm not mistaken, those buttons are used with the Lantirn/FLIR system used on Block 40/42's Older Vipers don't have an ICP as we do have now.
  6. Which is even more annoying, since DCS is not the fastest game to start up When i get home from work, i want to relax and fly. I don't want to constantly restart the game
  7. Not trying to hijack, but does the JF17 have expand mode for the AA radar? Can't find any info on this Had a mission where i was struggling to sort 2 bandits flying close together
  8. Also make sure you are not rearming the aircraft. The rocking motion will mess up alignment.
  9. ah ok, so it's a missing texture?
  10. see attached screenshot. I can see through the intakes of the Viggen Happened in the original campaign in the first mission
  11. you might wanna take a look at the recent patch notes
  12. i agree, the tgt is always looking at a SPI. So by designating a ground target in said GM or GMT, the TGP should slave to that point
  13. Laser and GPS are 2 totally different systems. When laser signal is lost, it just homes in on the last spot it saw the laser, but it does NOT update coordinates of the bomb, it just steers towards that particular spot. GBU- 24 is a totally different bomb. Not sure you why you are comparing these 2?
  14. Again this is exactly the same with a regular laser guided bomb, doesn't need to be a LJDAM for that That's not how a LJDAM works. Laser has nothing to do with updating coordinates That's the main advantage of laser guidenance... accuracy
  15. Buddy lasing can be done with normal LGB's, doesn't have to be a laser JDAM for that
  16. By how many do they miss? GPS guided bomb are not as precise as laser guided bombs. It's "ok" if the miss by a couple of feet, especially against vehicles
  17. It does make sense, since it's the only way to drop a GPS guided bomb on a moving target. That's why they put the laser guidance on it, to attack moving targets.
  18. Until you quit the server and than it will be red again. You will need to restart the game for it to be green again
  19. GBU-24 doesn't Bang-Bang, it can steer proportional, unlike Paveway II
  20. I'm not having problems with the switch, i was just stating how it *should* be irl. Maybe the OP has the switch bound, like you mentioned.
  21. If the switch is left on for too long, it will damage the equipment onboard. Ask your sme about it. Main power switch should be in off position.
  22. The crew chiefs set the switches and make sure they are in the right position, so the pilot can follow his checklist, which is from a cold jet with everything which drains power, makes noise or is weapon related set to off I have yet to meet my first crew chief who pre sets all switches for the pilot. Heck, if people forget the main power switch, they will hear about it. There may be different procedures amongst F16 operators, but as far as i know, main power is always in OFF position
  23. Battery switch is always turned to the OFF position upon leaving the cockpit. This is stated is various checklists. Main power switch to battery still drains power
  24. For the chaff and flare program settings, this should be an exclusion. There is absolute no exploit or cheating when users create their own chaff and flare programs with different quantities or burst settings
  25. yes, but in the mean time, let us modify the LUA file for the chaff/flare. It's a freakin' pain in the butt to modify all programs after startup
