  1. Tgp won't slave in CCIP at your target, regardless of the bombing profile. TGP will only slave to a SPI, which you don't have in CCIP mode. You have to be in CCRP to do so and if you designate a target on the radar, you can also use the "TGT" button on the MFD showing the radar page to slew the TGP onto the target You can set CCIP or CCRP in any profile by pressing NWS button or set it by pressing the corresponding button on the MFD when it is showing the SMS page
  2. looks good, but the price is way to much
  3. You should ask Lockheed Martin that question.... Like i said some Blocks DO have that feature And if you are pulling 8 G's, you shouldn't be pushing any puttons
  4. I think you interpret OP's post wrong It's not about not being able to cycle between scans. It's about how to... You can select different TWS scan modes, but not using cursor control on some Blocks of the F-16. If you want a different scan zone in TWS, you need to use th MFD buttons, while in RWS you can bump the cursor to either side of the screen
  5. All of the above... And don't rearm/refuel as you are aligning. It will mess things up
  6. You haven't aligned the flight path marker with the bomb fall line... Of all the modules in DCS from which you can drop a GBU, only the F-16 has this most annoying "feature"
  7. Captive missiles come in all sort of flavors. The ones you saw at airshows are definitly not live missiles.... I think the Israeli bird you refering to (picture here above), is on a training mission with live bombs. That would make sense as why he is carrying captive missiles
  8. The reason they have captives on the tips, is to prevent flutter of the wings and therefore increasing unwanted load/stress on the wings. In fact, F-16's rarely fly with empty wingtip stations just because of that. If you have something heavier than a Sidewinder (AMRAAM for example), the heavier one goes on the tip
  9. The reason is that those stations don't have the appropiate interface (wiring/connectors) those weapons need. Those interfaces are only avaiable on sta. 3 and 7 Israeli Viper are different
  10. No, it's stated in the description "NOTES: This mod may also affect MFD and HUD glass if the module uses same material. Does not pass IC as of DCS 2.8.5 on 5/18/23"
  11. 1st thing i do upon entering the cockpit is to press numpad 5 to recenter my view. Also make sure to bound cursor depress on your joystick. If you enter boresight from the weapon page, the cursor is already on the right button and you only need to press the button to align, if the cricles are centered. I have never had issues boresighting the helmet using this way
  12. It indeed is. I've been saying so from the start.... But since this kind of specific information is not on public documentation, ED refuses to alter this. Only thing mentioned in the non public manuals, saying the pilot needs to be precise in his attack run, to ensure the bomb flies to a spot where it can see the laser. It is NOWHERE mentioned the bombs won't release if the pilot is not 100% lined up correctly and the F-16 has no option to select between 3/9 or 5 mil like in the A-10C Also common sense here, what if i pilot makes a bomb run on a defended target, do you really thing he is trying hard to line everything up correctly to ensure the bombs go off? The pilot only drops near the target, so the laser guidance can make sure he hits the target. Thats the whole point of laser guidance weapons, otherwise you could intead just normal bombs
  13. Ka50's cannot shoot through trees. I don't know where you got that from
  14. is your elevation set correctly? I think you are trying to lock up a datalink contact. Is the contact hollow or solid?
  15. My guess as well. OP, are you doing full or stored alignment. If doing full alignment, make sure to "confirm" the coordinates using the enter key on the ICP
  16. Thats what i said. It does nothing for level CCRP drop, because the release point for level drop does not change
  17. Has only to do with lofting. For level drop this setting does nothing
  18. Did you read what i posted above? As soon as i took control in your replay, i could drop the bombs on the plane. Here is a picture: you need to align the FPM and the vertical bomb fall line
  19. Ok, i had a look at the replay. Problem is you are not centered on the bomb fall line... The bomb fall line is the line running from top through bottom on the HUD. Align the flight path marker on the fall line and press and HOLD the pickle button, until the bombs fall off
  20. Thats not what you said in your first post....
  21. It's not the missile, the ships damage models are broken for a while. Some take multiple MK84 bombs and still float.
  22. The manual does not specify high or low drag bombs in CCRP, so i would assume the are the same for both types
  23. Nose or tail fuse has not so much to do with high or low drag tail. In this case the bomb has 2 fuses, in the nose and one in the tail, most likely a m904 and m905 fuse. By selecting Nose, Tail or NS/T, you can only select which fuses get armed, when the bomb is dropped. In case of high drag drop, the arming wire operating the tail, is usually mounted to a fixed point of the bomb rack. If you want to drop a high drag bomb in low drag mode, the tailmechanism is fixed using a steel wire. Yes, the bomb rack has 3 arming solenoides, but the front and center solenoides are always switched at the same time.
