  1. Not 'actual' but modern units such as S400, Pantsir, F-22 etc.
  2. AFAIK the wingsweep hat sticks in either bomb or auto but will return to center from either aft or fwd
  3. I orginally did them for myself only since I wanted to have skins for a complete and time accurate airwing. They are quite basic and not 100% accurate but I thought better a mediocre skin than none at all, so I just uploaded them. If anyone comes up with a better version I wouldn't mind at all! IIRC isoko did some very good VF-103 skins but they are for the 2000-01 period and do not quite fit with my cvw-17 Hornet skins.
  4. My JR skins are indeed based on the default VF-103. Not much has changed between 2002 and 2004 so its easy if you know the BuNos and pilot/RIO/PC names. However, I struggle to find any information on any jet except 100, 103, 105 and 112 so I cant do the whole squadron. The clean 111 bird is thus also kind of fictional. I would also love to do some custom weathering (there is an awesome collection of close-up shots of AA112 showcasing the typical Tomcat weathering) but my basic painting skills aren't suited for that.
  5. Now available https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3324841/
  6. FWIW I've had broken replays with ED modules too, e.g. with the Mi-8. I suppose the whole system is built on recording player inputs only. In the times of SFM and simple AI that worked well but as things get more complex, the behavior of both AI and player aircraft (including weapons) is not as deterministic as it needs to be for the system to work. I'm afraid there wont be any fix to that anytime soon since this would require the whole replay system to be reworked entirely, possibly at the cost of in-game performance. What I would like to see though is the ability to force a multiplayer-like replay in SP so we don't have to run a separate MP server to get any useful replays.
  7. Small addition to the VF-103 2002 cruise-pack, grey-tail AA112. Available soon
  8. At the very least make the parking brake not constantly drain brake pressure when set. Brake accumulator pressure should only drain when applying brakes, not when the brakes are held.
  9. There is a post in the russian Mi-24 bug thread by one of the devs acknowledging the issue. However, it appears to be a result of the complex interaction between FM and AP. They are apparently working on it but there is no ETA.
  10. The Hawkeye's radar apparently wasnt all that great in the 70s-80s and there was an ongoing debate about how much of the scouting (i.e. outter airpase survaillance) needed to be offloaded to fighters (both Tomcats and Hornets). The F2F DL is extremly useful for this.
  11. Same here, initial pull on the stick in CSS mode induces a slow pitch down so you have to keep pulling until the aircraft starts pitching up as it should.
  12. Do you have any source for zone-2 launches being a thing? From what I know its either MIL or zone 5 (depending on weight) since these give the largest stall margins. Anything in between and you risk loosing an engine during/after the cat shot
  13. You should be able to airstart as long as you keep above 350knots. The igniters have a seperate power source which kicks in at lower rpm.
  14. Tbh my helicopter experience so far was also quite poor. Out of three flights, I was shot down in my Hind twice just before reaching the frontline. I guess the flat and homogenous terrain makes it easy for fighters to spot helicopters. That plus the the very wide frontline and the resulting scarcity of air cover makes helicopter missions often a one way trip. Caucasus was better in that regard since the infrastructure+forrest+towns made it easier to mask yourself. I do like the Syria version overall though from a fixed wing perspective! Not much you can do though to improve helicopter gameplay I'm afraid.
  15. The ME/loadout menu doesnt show it but its very noticable in terms of flight performance. E.g. the amount of thrust/airspeed required to maintain level flight with 15 AoA in landing configuration. At 54klbs aircraft weight it should be around 140kts. With the bug its something like 155kts which means the actual aircraft weight is above what its supposed to be.
  16. Does the GNSS even have the ability update the onboard INS? I've never seen it mentioned and since no INS drift was modelled before it was not an issue anyway.
  17. Very good video, just a couple of things: The readiness of the outboard spoiler module is checked on the hydraulic panel, not on the flight controls indicator. Missile prep would be on before performing the fence in. The missiles need to tune which takes a couple of minutes. AFAIK missile prep was turned on on the ground so the RIO had time to sort out any issues should the missiles fail to tune.
  18. Yeah you are right I mixed them up
  19. A couple of things about the fuel feed issue: Fuel feed is affected in general, i.e. fuel appears to draw only from AFT/L no matter the power setting. Its just way more pronounced in AB. Flicking the FEED switch to AFT or FWD, then back to NORM fixes the issue. The above must be done only once. After that, spawning in a new aircraft/starting a new mission will have no issues. I therefore believe its some sort of faulty initialization of the fuel system.
  20. There's two ways you can set up a Tacan for a unit (ship or tanker). Either via waypoint actions or via triggered actions. The latter seems to be bugged sometimes so try using a waypoint action at waypoint 0.
  21. Initial HAS to be 800ft. Anything below is calling for a midair with aircraft in the pattern. AFAIK the speed is not that restrictive and depends on how the pilot likes to fly his break.
  22. Moving the stick doesn't disengage the AP but puts it in attitude hold mode. If you want to disengage the AP put the AP switch on the AFCS panel back to off. DON'T use the AP disconnect paddle, this is only for emergency and will also turn off pitch and roll SAS.
  23. That looks awesome! Badly needed for populating retro carrier decks, good luck with your model!
  24. IRL the ECLs are a backup mean of controlling engine power should the governor fail. They are left in the middle position during normal ops. Earlier versions of the Mi-8 with no automatic emergency power would have you pull one ECL lever up in case of an engine failure to ensure the working engine runs at takeoff power.
  25. You can use ICLS for now, which shows the correct GS. You better start practicing though, next case3 session is coming soon ;).
