  1. Oh definitely position the base so when its at its lowest to be where your fully extended arm would be. That's the easiest way to ensure at least one endstop is at the correct position for you. Then only thing left to do is to limit how high it can go, but that in the DIY region now unfortunately
  2. You could screw in some bracket at the base of the handle (shiny part) that will limit the highest point. It's a hack, but it could work
  3. Even with 30 degree it's still a bit too much of a throw IMO. I did ask Virpil back when this released are they considering creating even larger limiter to do ~20 degree throw angle, but only thing they responded with is "they'll think about it". It might be worth to ping them again. If you want something else, then all I can think of is to create your own limiter "somehow" to reduce the throw and recalibrate.
  4. This part of the wait is the hardest Get ready for it. If you fly helos, you'll never want to go back to sprung bases
  5. Another voice against the satellite imagery. With all the amazing helos we now have available, it's really bad feeling to be flying low and looking at that.
  6. There is a reply from the devs few posts ago that the problem is known and reported...
  7. @Hammer1-1 You sure you ain't thinking of SkateZilla's launcher? That one and one still upcoming from ED are not the same things
  8. Ensure that your ddns service sync mechanism is working. It needs to know that your IP has changed so it can update where should it point to. You should be able to set the ddns service to sync every X hours, so you can set it to couple of minutes after the usual IP change. On another note, at least here in hrvatistan our ISPs change IP after every 24h starting from the last time your modem was booted. So if something happens and your modem gets rebooted (power failure), 24h starts to count down from then which makes your ddns sync after X hours not a bulletproof method and you need some other way to sync up your ddns
  9. This currently shows decimal hours, should show decimal minutes. Will be fixed soon:tm:
  10. Huh? What patch notes?
  11. I mean, you have your windshield marker. Use that as the reference
  12. SD, don't take it the wrong way, but you are the last person that should correct other people's English. Most of the time the things you write are not 100% clear, so please, try to step back a little and understand that people can (and mostly will) interpret what you write the wrong way.
  13. C2 stands for "Command and Control" unit. It should coordinate other Igla-dudes in the group, but I haven't really tested it.
  14. Hey @AKA_Clutter glad you sorted it out. It's a good rule of thumb that if you have multiple USB peripherals and they have LED lighting in it, it's best to plug them in to a powered USB hub as the USB port by itself might get into trouble supplying power to all of those LEDs. Those powered USB hubs nowadays are not that expensive and they really are worth it if you have multiple devices (like we tend to here )
  15. Can you test this connecting the TCS base to another USB port (to a different hub if it's connected there) just to eliminate the possibility of a connection slowly dying? I've been flying with TCS Plus base with Apache grip since it released and never had a disconnect or any controller related issues in KW or any other module and I have 8-10 controllers connected at all times
  16. Sorry it took a bit after the update to test, I was too busy flying the KW This issue seems to be fixed. I just tried to reproduce and I couldn't. Thanks for the fix
  17. I'd like to ask ED what do they need to help debug the issues. While it's obvious that it's not 100% not working, in my group we've never been able to get it to work with all clients, no matter what we do. We've done all of the steps that ACS_Dev has kindly highlighted, nothing has helped. If ED can outline steps what they need us to troubleshoot, I think I could convince my group to give it another go and provide data that's needed. I highly doubt that just randomly sending dcs.log after having issues is going to help as it really didn't so far. So please, give us instructions what do you require, I'm betting there are groups who are willing to spend an hour of their time to try to do tests in their respective groups and help so that the voice chat can finally start working as intended.
  18. Well, if the missile has energy it can go and hit stuff farther than 9999m (that's max ranging the computer will show, but laser energy doesn't magically stop at 9999m). Although I'm not sure if the missile's battery life (if it has any) is the limit on how long the seeker is looking for the laser. Lima Hellfires, I don't remember hitting anything past 8-8.5km. Bottom line is, there's no hard limit down to a meter. It all depends on the circumstances.
  19. This is an age old issue, happens in all modes. Same thing happens if you change your view rotation instead of FOV. For example if the contrailing object is to your 3 o'clock, if you looks straight ahead you might see contrails in your peripheral view. However, when you turn to look at it, contrail dissapears.
  20. "Virtual career" started with just MiG-21 and A-10. One from lingering national pride and other just for the brrrrrrt. Even then, MiG started to feel neglected and I only flew A-10. Then comes Harrier where I've spent 1-2 years of continuous flying. Afterwards I just started buying anything I even remotely liked. Figured I'll try it and if I find it really nice I'll fly it more regularly. If not then I still have some cool aircraft in my virtual museum and I can jump in at any time I want. As I've joined a group, I've tended to focus more on 1-2 aircraft whilst having 15+ in the hangars, waiting for the better days. I've never regret any aircraft I've purchased even if I've flown it for maybe 10 hours at the most. Main thing is, I support the devs, keep them funded through the limited way I'm able to fund them and hope that in the future there will be many more cool and awesome aircraft to try out. It took F-4 to come out just so I can get MiG-21 out of the hangar again and give it a twirl so after 6 years of owning it I can chalk that I've made it to the 2 hours of flying it hahahaha.
  21. Not purely while supersonic flight, but I've noticed that during/after heavy maneuvering it rapidly decreases count and then after stabilizing it starts to slowly increase. I'd really like to think it's a part of the "parts simulation" where the fuel gauge gets thrown off when you do that pilot "stuff" and then aircraft stabilizes it can get more precise reading. Not the greatest analogy but I remember when I drove old car, if it was parked at the slope it showed it had less fuel than it was in the tank. After when I started to drive and got to even terrain it showed correct state
  22. I noticed something when I went to bind my controls for the Phantom. There were no prebound axes except Warthog throttle axes and they were correct @BIGNEWY or @NineLine Do you know if this was intentional DCS core change (something that was requested numerous times) or was it something HB forced on their end? I would be really happy to hear that this was DCS core change and I'm sure there are a lot of others who would be as well.
  23. To be honest, DCS is as expensive as you want it to be. If you want to have every module, great home cockpit with top of the line peripherals, then yeah it's going to hurt your wallet. On the other hand, ask yourself do you actually need all those modules? There's only 24h in a day and all of the modules actually take some time to get good at them and be comfortable operating them so you are likely looking at spending at least a month with it before you can "take off and land with your eyes closed" (note the quotes here), and that's not taking into the account of using all of the sensors and weapons and understanding the reasoning why something should be used in a certain way.... You can see here that having only single module with even the cheapest controllers can give you many hours of fun and engagement. Get something that you have actual personal interest in (please, don't ask what you should buy as then everyone will give you their own reasons why) and then go have fun with it. Even better if you find a like minded group with which you can share the experience. That way you can spend years flying only one module and getting reeeeally good at it. After all that, looking at the price tag and looking how many hours you have spent on it, it's not that bad.
