  1. Guess fridays' patch day nowadays. cool!
  2. Amen brother, preach it! For me one of the little details I love is how far you can zoom in on objects like a R-73 missile and have it supermega-uberdetailed in close up. So cool. No way I could ever approach that level of detail with a plastic model.
  3. I would like: * a whole lot more premade templates such as SAM sites etc. * ability to more finely control AI behaviours such as salvo fire, engage/disengage logic, emcon, lights, etc. * preview for lighting and weather. * polygonal trigger zones. * less accurate ground units vs air targets. Perhaps something that can be controlled from ME? Bmp sniper meh and a great way to make triple A go berserk barrage style. Crudely simulate jamming on sams by busting down their accuracy on a trigger. I love the fact that y'all are looking at improvements to the editor. It is the true heart of this sim. *
  4. Well you are setting yourself up there. Better not get your hopes up. I for one would be happy with something smaller, more manageable. Hard not to invoke other titles though!
  5. It's every bit as great as I'd hoped it would be. Thanks ED!
  6. Happy to read LCOS is in the pipeline. For now just fly up to them until you see the dangly bits, put the gun cross on his noggin and let fly!
  7. Its like coming home. Good job ED!
  8. Oh my that is a pretty office. And one of my favourite rides too! Bon travail les mecs!
  9. Eh, you might be surprised. Once its out, it will have almost all of its major systems except Harm Targeting System and Air to Ground radar. Developing those will have great overlap/concurrency with the hornet. So perhaps sooner? We'll see.
  10. This. Get to the vaipaaaahs!
  11. Wingflex would be nice to have. I find it very immersive in the Tomcat and the F-5E to see the wings flex all over the place. Especially the F-5E's implementation. It gives real weight to those sidewinders at the tip.
  12. The index is a far more lush machine. It has external tracking and hardware adjustable IPD. It's optics are better and IIRC it also has a better resolution. So yeah. Also facebook.
  13. So what's the holdup? Id love to read some details as to how and why the way ED are implementing AG radar that's taking so long. I understand they dont want to do a fake-up like a line of sight filtered target array lookup for GMTI and SEA, but why not? And what else? And whats the holdup?
  14. Huh.. interesting. Guess ED are cookin' up a big 'un eh!
  15. Its well and truly awesome. Comfortable, intuitive and once set up, it just works. The immersion is very much improved by it. Almost as good as having button panels set up for every machine in the hangar! Where setting up a hornet for a flight, or fencing in was a bit of a chore, with this it feels very much like a organic part of the flight. I love how I no longer need to reach over to the mouse for it. This is also the smallest controller I own, so easily stowed or taken out. Very elegantly engineered!
  16. Huh.. so its a "feature" of DCS. Well in that case: UNITE THE CURSORS EAGLE DYNAMICS! Bring unity to this schizophrenic state of things, for the love of all thats holy (and virtual!)
  17. Hi, I have an odd problem, and was wondering if its something on my side or a design feature. It concerns the mouse cursor. I have a blueish cross when mousing around the cockpit. However, when I open the radio menu, the bluish cursor does not work on it. But if I move the mouse further up and to the right, a white dot appears, that does interact with the radio menu. This is annoying. Is there a way for me to re-unite the cursors into one dot or cross to rule them all?
  18. W00t, just took delivery of my set! I am dog tired from work, but as soon as my wits are gathered again, I'll be pointing like a boss! ... soo... how does this calibration routine work? Whoa... Also, there seems to be a bit of tape over the camera's sensor. Should I take this off or does it have an important function?
  19. Ideal would be if the UI (menu screens, mission editor, options etc) were on the monitor and it only switches to VR on mission load.
  20. Or open the canopy.
  21. Pfff yeah is not perfect. What is? There are worse things.
  22. The mission builder could have chosen to prohibit the SAM to fire at munitions. It's an option you set in the group settings window.
  23. Three cheers for the replanting of the Georgian forests! Those vineyards looked terribly out of place ;-)
