Last week I finished up the Museum Relic campaign with my MiG-15 and I was both elated from the glory and sad from having finished it and having to leave it behind. It's like a good book that way. I think you are a writer Apache600, and a not a bad one at that. I had a whale of a time, none of the misisons were repetetive or boring, and you showed some impressive ingenuity in making a lowly little 1st gen jet relevant. So many "Whoa did that just happen?!" moments in this. That time a MiG-31 flew close formation on me.. That time I flew across the treetops to go "surprise mother#@!!" at a stealth jet and the gun went "blyatblyatblyat!" :D Thank you for this. It's great. Perhaps the greatest I have experienced so far. Please keep writing and building these. If needed I am willing to do (free!) text editing for you, help catch grammar and spelling errors ;-)

That's a sweet looking MiG. What's with the thick tail plane? The leading edge looks almost round to me, is that how it was on the real machine? Or is that something still being worked on? Also how much different is the -19P from the ShenYang J-6?

First we'll get better ATC around the carrier, and an LSO who will talk to us during final approach and grade us on our landings. Then that tech is going to be repurposed to vastly improve airfield communications. It's on the ED todo list, and part of the hornet package. So have patience padewan, good things come to those who are content with what they have.

I had the same issue, JTAC only seems to lase the first target. He does clear hot for the second, but doesn't lase it.

Holy mother of Bog! You weren't kidding! I get better FPS in this than I got with the previous version AND kegety shader mod!

Hi guys, Let me start of this by far my favourite DCS experience so far. I have learned a ton about the MiG-15, radio nav and all kinds of archaic aviation things. Lately however I have been getting frustrated banging my head against a problem:

huh. I went and tried to reproduce this error, but my winders came off the rails just perfectly. Of course I shot down both migs and that b0rked the mission. Perhaps the script should have called me out for being trigger happy and told me to ctrl-R lol. Warthog stick. I think it's in how your stick is setup. Do you use an external utility to program the stick? Making it send [spacebar] when you pull the trigger? Perhaps it would be good to have it send [joystick button 1] instead...

They most definately are. At least in certain planes. I had my MiG-15 pilot go woozy several times after a hurried start-up where I forgot to turn on the oxygen systems. They do take a while to come on. So for a minute or so, nothing will happen and then you better act quick before you black out.

My impression from recent(ish) communiques from ED is that it's in the queue, but too far off to put a firm date or any sort of feature previews out. It might be quite relevant that when wags did his episode of the fighter pilot podcast, that afternoon they recorded jell-o, the podcast host, doing LSO lines for DCS. So that's happening.

Getting the FAC to lase things is finicky to say the least. Make sure he has Line Of Sight to the intended targets. If you want you can cheat a little and have JTAC be a predator drone set as invisible in the editor.
