My point exactly.
-
You already said that... and you're still here talking about it. I think we can talk about it.
-
Sold!
-
A working theory!
-
Because this is a thread about the F-15E and that was what my initial post was about. Bye-bye.
-
All I think is that there were no RB modules in the video. I'm not going to hyperventilate about it.
-
Nope. But I did see other HB products. No RB products at all I think. We might need a whole other thread for this!
-
Yeah, but the F-15E is/was a "flagship" model up there with the Hornet, Tomcat, and Viper. If it's not there, it's not there by design.
-
Did I miss something or is there no Strike Eagle in the Summer Sale video?
-
An Mi-26, a Ch-53, some of the big bad boys. Maybe the Sikorsky SkyCrane even. Yes, I would.

Thank you. -
That's.......................... actually not the worst idea I've ever heard. An FC3 Mi-26. Yes, I would.

Feedback Thread - Open Beta Update April 10th 2024

Not sure where to post this, but... Wasn't the F=14 Jester supposed to be upgraded to the new Jester like in the Phantom? No complaint, just curious. -
Okay, so you were guessing. Thank you for the clarification.

You posted a "solution", saying we just have to change the date back and forth. And when asked if it was safe to do so, you laughed at the question and said of course it is. For those of us who would like to use the F-15E radar, could you explain, please, your expertise in software and how you know that changing the date on your PC back and forth and back again will not have any negative impact or any Google services, Microsoft services, any of the twenty game services requiring accounts and connections, any of the myriad of media services like Netflix etc., Steam and all the games that have connected accounts to Steam, any of the AV programs, DCS itself, or just the basic function of the PC itself. Many here have said it's not a good idea to change the date back and forth and back again. A quick Google search shows similar concerns. But as you are able to just laugh off all those concerns, could you explain it to us, please, so we can all be comfortable making the changes? Thank you.
-
No answer yet? But you're certain to the point of laughing it off? You're certain changing the date back and forth and back again will have no effect? Not any any Google service like gmail or something else? Not on Spotify or Netflix or any of a dozen other media connections that run on subscriptions? Not on any of the myriad of Microsoft games or services? Not on Steam or any of twenty other game services that require online connections? Not on any of the dozen or so AV services? Not on any program, like DCS, the requires you to check in every so often so the game will run? On all these services and more, you're certain, to the point of laughter, that changing the date back and forth and back again will have no adverse effect? If you're that certain, great. But please explain your expertise so that we may understand it as well as you and be comfortable making these changes.
-
And you know that in relation to the dozens, perhaps hundreds, of different programs people are running on all the PCs people here are using... how?
-
And you've got the courage to just come right out and admit that? Chuck Yeager's got nothing on you.
-
"You're". Pedantic indeed.
-
Your dollars, your choice. Respect. I was hesitant to spend, I'm wary of things, but as stated I just gotta fly. On the plus side, with the F-15E down and out, I have more brain cells for other planes.
-
I understand your concern but for as long as it last - I love my DCS flying. Just bought two Kola maps, one for me and one as a gift, and got the Phantom. Getting the Chinook on Steam day-one. Gotta fly! I mean, I just gotta fly.
-
Does ED have an opinion whether it's safe or recommended to change the date back and forth? And yes, very much looking forward to my groovy radar working again.
-
I appreciate that, but it does not allay my concerns about messing with the settings. Granted, I'm not the smartest cookie in the woodshed regarding PCs, But I do know they have eccentricities that are not always friendly with things like this and that's why I hesitate to change the setting back and forth.
-
This took about 5 seconds to find. Not that it's authoritative, but it does speak to the concern. The wrong time and date on your computer can negatively affect apps that rely on them. For instance, software that depend on web-based services or internet-based authorization schemes may not allow you access to those resources.Jan 11, 2024

Too much coffee? You're a little pointy there, brother. I don't know what messing around with the time on my PC will do? Like everyone else I have a hundred different things running and I have no idea if they will be happy with the date going back and forth.
