  1. Im still amazed at the quality and detail across this map when compared to some of the others. The noticeable landmarks and city locations are really a level beyond what I've seen in any other sim.
  2. I use Target and the DX128 mod to get this config, but it serves nicely. I also use DCS Menu Nav to make it simpler to drive the comms, though I am hoping ED might build it in oneday when they next improve comms
  3. Thanks for this, not a lot of real info but I wonder if he has an actual source for that google map?
  4. Looking great Maestro! Really looking forward to getting my hands on some of these new airfields!
  5. Here's a provisional TOC for what I have been able to identify.
  6. Working through this today has anyone seen an indication of the map location? Looking at the region there is a field on the island of Pagan which isnt listed in the above coverage, so I am thinking this may be outside the map coverage.
  7. We have pretty much the same system, what clock speed are you running the CPU? That made all the difference for me.
  8. Worked for me, no idea hey, its a great virtual cockpit.
  9. A2A refuelling works, there is a GR video on the topic.
  10. One of the devs either polychop or Razbam has a C-172 module privately, it came up in an interview. the big issue with releasing it is paying Cessna for the privilege I believe.

    DCS Menu Nav

Ha this post saved me as I was trying to migrate this to a new PC. This is a great piece of software, even more so in VR for those of us that don't want to use voice attack and the functionality should move into the DCS core. This saved me a number of times when calling 'ready pre contact'
  12. Hey Raus, I finally got around to checking this out, its really actually very good, thanks
  13. Quite nice, reminds me of the A4 throttle.
  14. My understanding is that the two things that make a difference at the moment given DCS runs primarily on a single core are the CPU Speed and the amount of VRAM on the Graphics card. an i3 overclocked to 5.0 will have better performance than an i9 at 3.7. The VRAM I believe is more about pagetime which effects the ability to get 90FPS rather than 45FPS. From other threads though I agree the minimum card to really enjoy DCS is a 2080super/3060ti but you really want a 3080 to really enjoy it.
  15. Ah much appreciated I had missed that. makes it much easier to add some of the needed VR functions to the stick without having to give up a hat.
  16. I've been looking for a way to use a joystick button as a modifier without having to result to a second target profile. Ideally CMS Left (Button 18) on the warthog joystick which is currently unused. At the moment the only solution I can see is to run a target profile for the joystick and remap the button to send RALT or something similar, but already having one running for the Throttle is seems silly to run two profile (or to try and pull the joystick into the same virtual device the throttle is on) just to get that button useable. a quick review of forum topics didnt show anything immediately useful so I thought I would throw it out here and see if there were any other suggestions.
  17. Yes Recentre view has replaced Track IR recentre on the unused weapon selector switch on my warthog. I believe there are also some keys to move and save the default view in there which are maybe RALT+Numpad, or RALT+RCTRL+Numpad, I have them written down to try on the other PC but havent got there yet.
  18. Nice!
  19. Hey apologies yes that would be a better spot for it
  20. Looking for a spot to post my input experiments so I thought I'd throw it in here. I had purchased a finger mouse which hasn't turned up, but have landed on this which I am liking so far, gives Left right mousewheel and the ability to move independent of my head. Seems solid and easy to locate behind the throttle: https://www.amazon.com.au/KENSINGTON-72337-Orbit-Wired-TRACKBALL/dp/B002OOWB3O/ref=asc_df_B002OOWB3O/?tag=googleshopdsk-22&linkCode=df0&hvadid=341743940079&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15732342607542282166&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9071657&hvtargid=pla-434709043369&psc=1
  21. I noticed Maestro back in the forums recently so Im hopeful a fairly substantial update is approaching.

    Reverb G2

So first impressions of the Reverb have been very positive, I have one question though Im hoping this thread might be able to address. Has anyone found a good after market face gasket replacement? I find the stock one is very absorbent which is not great in the Australian summer. I have a friend with a 3d Printer knocking up one of the jewcookie https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4666466 ones which I think I can mount a HTCvive cover too, but Im wondering if anyones experimented with the silicon shields for the various occulus models that might fit over the stock set up. There doesnt seem to be an affordable alternative shipping to Australia. What resolution are you running your MFD's? I found moving from 512 to 1024 made a big difference in terms of readbility for the hornet.
  24. I revisited the Littlebird today in VR and was amazed at the difference the headset makes when youre sliding down canyons or through confined areas. There seems to be a bug with the cockpit cyclic not quite aligning with the mesh cyclic, but it is amazing fun in VR.
