  1. Some of thee Wishlist topics have so much aggression. Personally Id rather see ED finish the world engine or even integrate with the other sims world engine than continue to develop ad hoc terrain modules.
  2. Interestingly, it looks like the end of 17 is sloped up and the freeway there is lower than the field, but I agree there isnt a building that high there per this video. This has previously been reported as a bug as that building gets in the way of the glidescope on a 17 arrival. :
  3. Mine have arrived in Australia within a week. Top quality items very much recommended.
  4. Would personally love to see it accomodate 2 thottles to suit the hornet. I use a separate pedestal for mounting the throttle
  5. That has been confirmed. I believe we are getting some kind of Syria update, though not sure how much.
  6. That last video is a great way to do a tour @MAESTR0!!
  7. I think you should definately consider starting your own thread for the Cobra, it really deserves its own point of comparrison rather than being buried in the Littlebird thread, that will also give you a first post you can update to include releases etc.
  8. Hey so just a question I thought I read somewhere above that the external model was under review and so skins were likely to change, is that still the case? Really looking forward to seeing this Mod continue to develop.
  9. Yeah I know they havent developed anything new because of Russian Law, But I did wonder about a clickable Mig29 using the existing config. From memory it has one of the most advanced EFM's though perhaps its the same problem. Its funny that the fellow doing the SU-57 doesnt seem to have the same problem getting access as ED are.
  10. I do wonder about the difference between an all water map and putting a carrier at the top and the bottom of Caucaus or the left and right of the Gulf. In reality the radars on the aircraft and the Fleets will mean they find each other very quickly regardless, and Im not that sure I see the appeal of flying for an hour at Angels 30 over empty terrain. just my 2c.
  11. There was a lot of fun to be had in FC3 10 years ago when it was the only way to fly a2a sorties, and it is still the only way to fly a Russian jet. Now days it does feel a little less interesting. I've always wondered though why they havent upgraded either the Mig or the SU to a DCS clickable cockpit as a V2.0 experience.
  12. Release seems to be 2.7 centric, unfortunately does not look to include the whole chain in the initial release, does look great for carrier ops which is great with all the non official carrier mods coming into the community, though its a pity we dont have any WW2 carrier aircraft
  13. X-52 was still the stick I did most of my flying with. Best single throttle solution out there. Warthog is better, but demands space to set up properly. There are far better solutions if you want to keep to a desk.
  14. H-4 is already planned as the second Jordanian field.
  15. Hey @MAESTR0, I am guessing this is the UNIFIL base at the tail end of this video, its looking awesome. The attention to detail in this area is fantastic, and I think all the extra Helipads along the trip will keep @Bailey very busy documenting. As Im guessing you are keeping Cyprus under wraps I would love to see a trip out to the Dier Ez Zor if you are taking requests
  16. I feel like the Comms/ATC system is a very old part of the engine, I know ED are working on it, I'm really hopeful we will end up with a DCS Menu Nav style solution that takes into account the active frequency and gives contextual calls and gives some options for proper IFR approaches to round out the experience. Would be much nicer to have easy ATC rather than easy comms.
  17. The Gladiator is a very decent looking stick that I would honestly look at seriously if I needed to replace my warthog., Personally if you are on a budget I would still try and pair it with a base level Throttle or you will miss a lot of the experience, as the buttons help greatly as well as being able to adjust the throttle without looking, even something like a Tflight throttle, T16000 will up your experience significantly when paired with a Gladiator. Depending on what you are flying you may find the lack of a second throttle annoying but honestly for the most part you will find you never move your throttles asymmetrically so you can get away with it. ALternately if you can find an X52 you cant go wrong. I went through several months on a Gaming laptop before pulling the pin on my current rig, It is very frustrating and ultimately contributed to me flying less than I wanted, but I was glad to have the HOTAS so when I did set up I could fly properly.
  18. Awesome was really hoping Akko would get an update!
  19. This is really an ED question rather than a Ugra question, the coalitions come from the Engine
  20. I do think yours is anew addition
  21. There is a whole thread on Helipad locations in this forum I suggest posting this one there
  22. Its well worth having a look at some of the examples on here as a reference on how to build. My first attempt at home building a HOTAS was based on using a couple of ebay purchased 2nd hand Wingman extremes, remounted to a small metal toolbox which held the electronics and gave me a platform to mount the resistors to. My second attempt was to build a collective which was originally based around a prototype box, but I ultimately found a 3d file and ran across a friend who would print it for me. Best place to start is to decide what sort of shape you are trying to build and how many switches you have, do you want to try and replicate a specific aircraft, or do you just want 20 options at your fingertips? do you want buttons, toggles, twists or hat switches. From there you can try and find a similar example. Worth considering how many inputs and axis you want, the Leobodnar board is excellent. Even if you only want one throttle having 2 axis on a microstick to drive a DMS/TMS or even external view control is awesome. You could for example get a USB Handbrake like the one I did for my collective, which has a 20 button 4 axis Andruno Leonardo board going to waste on there. That would serve fine as a throttle base once you drop the spring out, so you could use that as your throttle travel and then mount anything to the end to use as an anchor for the buttons. Alternately you could get a wingman extreme or even a USB gamepad second hand, strip it down and use the left/right axis to mount to a similar variable Pot that has a couple levers matched to a base. Its a bit of a slippery slope to building home cockpits but it can be a very fun diversion.
  23. This would be great, but the reality is that in order to do it you will need to expand the map to the South significantly and fill in the whole of Israel (Something I recall Ugra/ED said they weren't keen on because of the complexity/detail) in addition to everything in Egypt to atleast the Suez, likely 50-100km the other side, let alone any additional space needed to add appropriate Egyptian Airfields. I feel like its a logical future map rather than a logical expansion of any existing map.
  24. I have noticed this guy too, hes a lot more obvious at night
