  1. Got excited and decided to do the Soldering and see if I could get the current hat switches trimmed down to fit. Went very well. Going to see how the HAL sensors go and transition the electronics over if they work. The 3D printed Castle and China hats glue onto these buttons and are very solid and theres enough clearance to accomodate where the hats have ended up a little off centre. If the HAL works I might actually get it done tomorrow. I'm using 2 pieces of CAT 6 to get all the inputs plus the throttle resistor down to the base. I've allocated the A inputs for the Leo Board to one piece and coloured the ends black, and left the B inputs on the second piece. I have 1 pair spare so I think I am going to pull an extra wire up so I can throw the Rotary knob from the V1 collective on the side as its handy for a zoom access. This should speed up wiring as each input has its own colour in the jumble I hate soldering but it all fits, *just* Wiring Matrix. Using stripped down CAT6, which will also be used to get back down to the Board which I am going to mount on the base, makes it easy to figure what goes where Getting close.
  2. Looks like it has 2 small runways, my view is it would be like this one in Australia: https://www.airservicesaustralia.com/aip/current/ersa/FAC_YSHW_13AUG2020.pdf The runways arent neccersarily compliant but designed to give helicopters something to line up on for departure.
  3. Todays update, got home to find these in the mail with the magnet for my Throttle Hal sensor. Still not hat switches which is the only hold up on finishing the build now
  4. What a find!
  5. Hey this is great. By my research for airfield diagrams I think Taftanaz AB is actually a Heliport. https://airportguide.com/airport/info/AG3611
  6. paste just the video code into the youtube tag not the whole url
  7. Guys Nice work. I am debating adding your mods to my threat index, is radar simulated for any of these aircraft? Will any appear on RWR as a U or are they all considered passive?
  8. So just trying to read through this thread to get started,is the current situation that you cant edit for DCS unless you have 3dsMax 2018 or earlier? I inherited a file I was trying to texture map, but it seems its not possible to work with without these plugins which dont seem to install on the 2021 version.
  9. Try the early model Hermes https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=209539
  10. Microsoft recently released a PowerToys for Windows 10 that includes PowerRename, I use it for all my custom files to give them a proper number sequence. You do that and save as a PNG and then they go into the kneeboard folder
  11. Thanks for the update!
  12. So a Paint kit, or HMAS Adelaide/Canberra livery would be much appreciated by us Aussies.
  13. Stuck waiting on shipping, the first set of hat switches turned up but they were too large to really fit. I have been playing around with a gear for the twist throttle on this one, but I think I am going to try and mount a HAL sensor so I can not have to worry about physical contact. Installed the Damper today which is a great upgrade. Starting to wish I had just strapped an xbox controller on for a button box lol.
  14. Added to the next version of my threat index
  15. The Beta seems to be the general way to go if you are going to play on line. The stable has updated but until very recently it was the only way to get the newer features
  16. shu77

    RSBN support

Pretty sure this has been confirmed already
  17. That said I am also using my sim pit as a WFH space and I am thinking about building some sort of wheel away pit because the set up and strip down time is just annoying.
  18. Depends what you want to spend and what you want to fly, the Warthog is great but so expensive, The X56 is a good option if you need 2 throttles if you dont want to spend big dollars otherwise either ogf the other you suggest are good. If you are going to just fly F-16 then something like a T.1600 is a good option to get a throttle
  19. Its an interesting aircraft, but in terms of a properly realised Module you need a decent 3d model, Flight performance data, and systems information. The A6 is a two seater, with systems that cant be operated from the pilots station so you also need an AI which is more advanced than the Jester addon for the Tomcat as a minimum. It doesnt hurt to ask I guess, but I dont think we are likely to see it as a free module. You also strike the limitation with a free module of not having proper access to the SDK.
  20. Your best bet is to look for a Programmable Keyboard, I got a Point of sale keyboard and while it works I still needed to Run AutoHotkey to deal with the input limitations, Alternately for things like the UFC the easiest thing is to just steal the number pad inputs. You can with the clickable cockpit pretty much get away with assigning the whole A-10 CDU to the keyboard and move anything you really want to keep off to a RALT modifier. which is largely unused.
  21. If it could be integrated into the current map I would disagree, Id rather see it than the missing items mentioned recently from tjhat map but until then Id rather see something new.
  22. Any update nibbly? couple shots in action
  23. Really like the update based on actual feedback. very dynamic, thanks guys. Every time I see a HAS door now I will think of snoopy :)
