  1. They can also buy any module as a gift to someone else, that way they can give even more money to ED. My opinion is that I don't know what is best for ED and DCS in regard to payment model I can only speak for myself, I like the way things are now, subscription model makes me obliged to play the game, since I have payed for the month I have to play it otherwise my money is going to waste which in turn makes the game feel like work, I have to log in and fly I payed for it. But then again if I find myself to have no time for flying this week, or for 2 weeks, I will stop paying the sub, cause whats the point if I'm not flying, then even if I want to fly today I know I wont be able to fly for few days after today cause of work and obligations etc... I will not renew the sub, since I have no time. So if I'm paying the monthly sub for this sim I better fly or my money is going to waste... see where I'm getting here, the payment model is making me fly, cause, well read up... I become a slave to my game which should be a game, which should make me relax and enjoy but with this monthly sub model it is making me "work". That's why I don't like subscription based games and I run away from those.
  2. ED said multiple times that they are simulating aircrafts, not eras, so asuming vietnam map will follow F4 is wrong, they do what they can. I'd like Vietnam map tho as well as Balkans. Well I'd take any map, the more the merrier
  3. Yes cause that was the ground lvl altitude o that point.
  4. Simply type 0 at the waypoint altitude in ME, it wil place it on the ground lvl.
  5. Consoles BRT knob turned down but consoles are still lit up
  6. Seems some guy dug the grave to necro this thread probably trolling, lots changed since.
  7. In the Hornet I have noticed sometimes when I do carrier recovery my wingman is right by me trying to recover as well, then I have the option, in the comms menu, to flight kiss off and he moves away. In the Viper I send them RTB before I start the my landing, wingman goes on its own landing routine.
  8. Give the order to return to base, the wingman will enter its own RTB flight path and wont be on your wing landing at the same time. If you are in the hornet and doing carrier recovery you can order Flight Kiss off.
  9. As the above poster said, press SP on the TGP display to set it to boresight, or you can TMS DOWN once or twice (target management switch) to return it to Steerpoint or press CZ (Cursor Zero) on the display.
  10. There is also Thrustmaster F-16 grip, made of metal and very good quality : As for F-16V there are no knows plans to do it atm.
  11. Watch this one, it explains how radars work, its long but worth it (rewind to start of the video):
  12. It should be on the STP but if it is not press TMS (target management switch) Down once or twice, it will go to that steerpoint, also make sure your steerpoint is on ground level, if default altitude it will be up in the air, so type 0 at altitude setting in mission editor and it will be placed on the ground.
  13. The problem with moving targets atm is that the SPI (sensor point of interest) does not update with TGP point track, it will stay on the spot where point track is first initiated, that in turn creates problems with Mav since missile will look at the SPI, which doesn't move, rather than follow where TGP is looking, at those moving vehicles. So you have to "update" the SPI manually, to do that you can simply TMS UP again on TGP so it reacquires the lock on the moving target, or just a move a tiny bit and it will update the SPI. That will make life a little bit easier with Maverick. Or move TGP seeker a little bit ahead and TMS UP. That issue is reported and the team is working on it.
  14. Request has been made, maybe they will do it in the future:
  15. That sounds like your engine is in SEC mode, if the exhaust nozzle is not moving. Is there a SEC light on the caution advisory panel? check throttle axis and maybe reset your axis for viper and hornet maybe its that, since you said that in tomcat it works fine.
  16. There is something called Cycle Afterburner Detent - On/Off in the Viper and Hornet, check if some key or button is maybe bound to it, that is probably what turns your afterburner off.
  17. Good idea, if it is possible to add tag for fictional and realistic skins, so those are separated. For example the Viper has 91 pages of skins (shown by 10 per page), that's 900 skins and many of those are fictional.
  18. Yeah! I bought the Apache, flying it and it is great, but Viper is just much more interesting to me! and now with new tweaks and updates it's just perfect!
  19. You can not change the bomb code while the aircraft engine is running. It is not a bug. IRL they input those codes on the bombs before flight, pilot can not change them from the plane.

    Afterburner

Check if you have AB detent turned off, there is switch for that maybe it is bound on some of your keys, "Cycle afterburner detent - ON/OFF"
  21. Yea it needs FC3, AA version is based on SU33, and AG version is based on SU25T.
  22. I've tried Rafale mod, those ppl are doing their best but its quality is not as good as Raptor or Blackhawk mods. Would be more happy with official module if Dassault ever decides to show us virtual pilots some love as do to for their aircraft.
  23. Watching them fly over Croatia these days
  24. Wait, you are changing bomb laser code or TGP laser code? If you are changing TGP laser code it should work via DED, I don't know which steps you took. Post a short track of the issue so we can see what went wrong. If you want to change the Bomb code, it is done by kneeboard and it can not be done while aircraft is running, you either need to set the code in mission editor or change it via kneeboard when the aircraft is shut down.
  25. Nice thanks, you learn something every day! that's why I love DCS
