  5. Yea I think so too, I'm no Viper pilot but it sure is so much more intuitive to use Dogfight or Missile Override, set it up on the runway, how ever you like it and when you need it 1 press of a button and you are there all set up rdy for action, and so handy when you get jumped.
  6. I guess its the TPod side tank is masking the pod, so they go center line tank and one on the oposite side, this is not USN hornet probably export version.

Well for Extreme Memory Profiles you should know in advance that you need higher wattage PSU, quality Motherboard etc... in other words you need components that can support the settings so stuff like boot failure or random restarts doesn't happen, also you can check your Event Viewer and see what is causing crit errors etc, might be bad drivers, I was having issues with sound device drivers, even tho they were updated constantly, after reinstall it was all ok.

Research, car companies don't invest much in HUD, they just did it the cheapest way possible while military did tons and tons of research to make the HUD on a plane look great and not mess with your focus, I was researching how to make a HUD on a motocycle helmet, and to my surprise I found out that if I want to make it good and functional I need to spend lots of money on research cause that tech is not for free.
  9. And you know this how? You are an SME on the Viper? Since you are speaking public can you tell us your references and source? ED investigated and concluded that some were capable of deploying HARM from all 4 stations, so if you cant prove your claims stop spreading false info. This thread is not about HARM anyway. About AAR, its hard when you are just starting but with time and lots of practice it is doable, thousands of real life pilots and thousands of virtual pilots have done it, be patient and practice formation flying, I spent hours practicing it and eventually did it, now I do it I cant say easy but I do it, I fill up my tanks as needed. It wont happen if you don't invest time in AAR.
  10. Don't know where you got that info about C1 AD and AD2, wags explained it in the video at 2:53, The C2 makes sense if its for the burst attitude.

If I got it right; AD is the fuze arming after bomb release, 2 should mean it will arm the fuze 2 sec after bomb release, AD2 is the fuze activation upon impact, so if it is 0 it will detonate immediately as it impacts the target, if you set it to 4 sec it will detonate 4 seconds after it hits. C2 etc is not simulated yet, I guess it will be another fuze options. LADD is Low Altitude Drogue Delivery. I think it is not simulated yet. EDIT: C2 and LADD can be selected, I havent tested yet so no idea if its working or not

  15. I agree that Viper needs some tutorial missions, Type in Youtube search box "DCS F-16 TGP" and you will get a list of video tutorials on the matter,
  16. They can also buy any module as a gift to someone else, that way they can give even more money to ED. My opinion is that I don't know what is best for ED and DCS in regard to payment model I can only speak for myself, I like the way things are now, subscription model makes me obliged to play the game, since I have payed for the month I have to play it otherwise my money is going to waste which in turn makes the game feel like work, I have to log in and fly I payed for it. But then again if I find myself to have no time for flying this week, or for 2 weeks, I will stop paying the sub, cause whats the point if I'm not flying, then even if I want to fly today I know I wont be able to fly for few days after today cause of work and obligations etc... I will not renew the sub, since I have no time. So if I'm paying the monthly sub for this sim I better fly or my money is going to waste... see where I'm getting here, the payment model is making me fly, cause, well read up... I become a slave to my game which should be a game, which should make me relax and enjoy but with this monthly sub model it is making me "work". That's why I don't like subscription based games and I run away from those.
  17. ED said multiple times that they are simulating aircrafts, not eras, so asuming vietnam map will follow F4 is wrong, they do what they can. I'd like Vietnam map tho as well as Balkans. Well I'd take any map, the more the merrier

  19. Simply type 0 at the waypoint altitude in ME, it wil place it on the ground lvl.

In the Hornet I have noticed sometimes when I do carrier recovery my wingman is right by me trying to recover as well, then I have the option, in the comms menu, to flight kiss off and he moves away. In the Viper I send them RTB before I start the my landing, wingman goes on its own landing routine.
  23. Give the order to return to base, the wingman will enter its own RTB flight path and wont be on your wing landing at the same time. If you are in the hornet and doing carrier recovery you can order Flight Kiss off.
