Had a feeling the Su-25T cockpit was going to be mentioned, Wags has been quiet about it since first mentioning it. Good to see the new cockpit, will be the only SEAD aircraft until F-18 comes out.

I am rather amazed at the progress Beltechsim made with the Mi-8Mtv2 if they are looking at a beta that quickly. Granted I doubt 1.2.6 would come until end of the year at the earliest, but I think that is still a hell of a lot of progress.

And now that the Wags update is here, queue the inevitable:

Yes, it is a nice addition but is there any FPS impact because of this?

BTW, there seem to be no news on improving FPS with new patch releases. ED just keep adding stuff. What about EDGE? If you ask me, ED need to stop adding content and just focus on improving game performance.

Very good update..

The new 25T pit will pull me back the the Brick,

Very nice smokey engine look,

plus the steam news.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

I can't imagine that 1.2.6 is going to come for at least a few months, which should be plenty of time for the huey to be finished. Of course, they could have two separate teams working, one UH-1H and one Mi-8Mtv2, you never know.

Like the smoke trails and looking forward to 1.2.6 (with better beta testing).

@Wags: Will the new Su-25T cockpit be a 3D pit? (or "only" 6DOF?)

Joey,

Tend to agree....Such a shame really. I can't think of any other part of the simulation that hasn't been improved since release and yet everyone says its a weak area of the software.

Might not be much of an issue for some - but things like new weapon models are of no great interest to me...

The Current SU-25T is already "3D", it's just not modeled to be a 6DoF Mesh, it's modeled to be viewed from a single non moving Point. which is why when you "Enable" 6DoF on the Old Pits there are Gaps and Spots. The Old Pits are also not modeled to the higher LoD of the DCS Pits, Most of the Switches and stuff are Painted on instead of built.

The Screenshots are showing you the new 3D Panels, Gauges and Switches.

I think a lot of people just ignore it anyway in the state it is in, but then again pulling the ATC out of the game might not be an option. Might take more work than it is worth or might break something else - like rearming/refueling, etc.

My understanding though is that it was intended for 1.2.5, but obviously something went wrong? If so, I doubt we will be waiting for 1.2.6 for ATC if this is the case.
