SkateZilla Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 (edited) The "DCS: F-86 Sabre" was shot in the EDGE environment which, in its turn, comes out in August. EDGE is coming out with the module. This is my divination. A. F-86 was Slated for July B. Just because the footage was shot in edge does not mean it will arrive with the F-86. there's been previous Images/Videos uploaded using Edge simply because of the Internal Version the person recording the footage was using. Like I said,. the Assuming, is what ends up causing the problems, users assume, then riot when they are wrong, The answer is simple, don't assume anything, it's not official unless it's specifically Stated by an ED Employee. I don't think they would lie to people, SkateZilla. However, we all remember the famous "Flanker 2.0" mega trailer, which had nothing to do with the actual game... If what you said was true than why not just go further and paste a photo F-86 Sabre from DCS World onto some outdoors background, add a "woozhhshh" sound effect, and make a trailer out of that? Get it what I mean? The teaser starts with a note that is 1/3 of the screen, saying that all what is to be seen is WIP and subject to change and may not represent the final product ...

Yeah, they just put it on to be safe from all the turmoil and accusations if the end product is better than in the teaser. "Please beware! The end version might be much better than what you see here. So don't be disappointed later!" ... dude ... :doh:

The guys not saying ED are lying WoAyumi he's just saying that although the video was shot using edge don't assume the sabre will be released with edge. Edge may still need some tweaking before full release. But the sabre maybe further down the line. Just that no matter how many internal testers, there are tons more pc configurations out there and with a major engine change, trying to get the community to iron out major stability issues may be paramount. Version 2.0 He was a white man with a dodgy nose. Version 2.2 his cheek bones were higher. At Jackson V3.0 he started sleeping with kids and lost lots of brain power. Jackson became oboselete and was replace by Beiber 1.0.

I have been out of the loop for a while but I seem to remember ED saying Caucasus will run using the old engine, and only Nevada and future maps will use EDGE. Did that change?

Search for Wags post, there are also some screenshot of the newer modules that have EDGE running caucasus, and I don't remember Wags or an ED employee saying that officially EDGE won't run caucasus. Wags said that Caucasus scenery will be run in EDGE, but it won't be able to use it's potential, due to the older scenery design. So, for example, I'm not going to expect any positive change in object, map layout, scenery details, etc etc...
