chromium Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Its all explained in the movie Interstellar. :D Author of DSMC, mod to enable scenario persistency and save updated miz file Stable version & site: https://dsmcfordcs.wordpress.com/ Openbeta: https://github.com/Chromium18/DSMC The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.

near_blind Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 If I were to take a wild guess, it looks like something that's late 19th Century Industrial and of the American west. Something to do with one of the old Nevada mines, or a railroad?
dooom Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 *tinfoil hat ON* I think it is a Peenamunde-esque launch tower... bottom left corner of his avatar reminds me of a V1 launch ramp and the building has similarities to the sites at Peenamunde with erector rigging. *tinfoil hat OFF* ASUS Tuf Gaming Pro x570 / AMD Ryzen 7 5800X @ 3.8 / XFX Radeon 6900 XT / 64 GB DDR4 3200 "This was not in the Manual I did not read", cried the Noob" - BMBM, WWIIOL

Silver_Dragon Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 A new map centre on east front without complete Normandy? very improbable. I think has some structure on new Caucasus map or Straight of Hormuz. dooom Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 (edited) I'm not saying it *is* Peenamunde on the Baltic... I am just saying that the building in his avatar and the little ramp on the lower left remind me of similar structures found at Peenamunde. Maybe they are there to offer some Normandy V1-2 sites? Although I am pretty sure that the V2s being rifled from France were mostly on mobile units. Not sure that a 2 story stucture would be present. ... Its the best my feeble brain could muster.
