cichlidfan Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 I guess alpha would be released earlier than beta, so somewhat it does matter before the release ;) It matters with respect to what the completion level will be, but for me, I will be so happy when it comes out that the fine print won't matter. rcjonessnp175 Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Yes Dcs 2.0 beta will come before Nevada. Or it will come with Dcs 2.0 beta we don't exactly now. I7 4770k @ 4.6, sli 980 evga oc edition, ssdx2, Sony 55 inch edid hack nvidia 3dvision. Volair sim pit, DK2 Oculus Rift.
Chivas Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Its my understanding that DCS World 2 will come out in beta form, and the download will include the beta Nevada map. "Beta" as in having most of the internal testing done to relatively satisfactory degree, that could well include more than a few bugs, and releasing the beta to the general public to have it tested on wider spectrum of user systems.

There really isnt anything carved in stone at this point. We will just have to wait and see how things progress, and when released, ED will tell us what state they think its in. mwd2 Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 With DCS World 2.0 the aircrafts get the shiny metal skins (in particular the Sabre), do the models need to rebuild for each aircraft - or just the skin/camo files? What is about ground units? Art-J Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I guess they don't "need" to be rebuilt, but some of them "can". Leatherneck has been working on revised external model of their MiG-21 for some time, intended to be used after DCS2 release. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.

I think that is less about DCS 2 and more about better optimizing their current model, I know they have some modelling technics they want to use to improve it. Least that is my understanding. AnkH_82 Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I really really hope that the trees in DCS World 2.0 will be solid or at least non-see-through for AI air defense and such as it is now. When this will be granted, I am all back in for another round of Black Shark or other things. As long as AI can see through trees, I wait...

ED Team NineLine Posted May 13, 2015 ED Team Posted May 13, 2015 Mostly desert I suppose, it doesnt look like the current map will have them when they release 2.0. No, the current map wont get tree collisions that we know of, or that has been said. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**

What is about ground units? dcs 2 screenshots from the Sabre, must probably use actual spec reflectiv file and not a special one. ? anyone could confirm ? so new renderer make it more reflectiv and more natural. recent skin with " reflectiv surfaces" with special Spec file, will probably be overdone for the new renderer, and will probably need some update. i7-10700KF CPU 3.80GHz - 32 GO Ram - - nVidia RTX 2070 - SSD Samsung EVO with LG TV screen 40" in 3840x2150 - cockpit scale 1:1 - MS FFB2 Joystick - COUGAR F16 throttle - Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals

JPS2K Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 So, here's the thing: I just started out. I couldn't help myself and within a week of owning a HOTAS and starting I bought FC3 and the Huey. Full price. Let's assume I want it all. All the planes. Fast. What will happen when DCS 2 comes out ? Will they make upgraded/updated models of existing, will I need to buy it again ? Is there anything official on that ?
