Have ED in mind to include the new buildings and houses from the Nevada map into the 2.0 editor?

 

From now we have the old russian style houses to put inside the map using the editor but could be a very nice feature to use the new Nevada houses and buildings and place them in other parts of the map to populate some empty zones.

 

And i´m not asking for Casinos..... XDDD

I am kind of surprise that recommend ram spec is 16gb while most modern games only recently cap at 8gb.

I have 16gb but DCS only seem to use 4-6gb most of the time, so I think 8gb would be fine as long as your not running something in the background at the same time.

8 has been fine for me since 1.5 and 2.0 came out.

I am talking about the objects already built into the map, but many of the place-able objects are view-able in the encyclopedia in the sim

Hello; This is my first speech in this forum. After 4 years of FSX, I add a military dimension to my passion for aeronautics.

My config is an intel 4 core i7 with 8GB NVIDIA GTX 650TI memory card 1 GB W7 64bit.

The download DCS 1.5 world has done well and after configuration commands, I realized several sessions with the training module.

Yesterday I changed "option / monitor configuration" of "Screen 1" to "camera + automatic RMFCD" immediately ESR screen went black with background music DCS, no command available. I closed the game with CTRL + ALT + DEL. Since the launch of the game results in a black screen, while my session admin everything is correct.

Consulting the forum, I modified the power options and used LALT + ENTER without success.

If anyone can help me, thank you in advance

For version 1.5, Open this file:

C:\Users\yourusername\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\Options.lua

 

Change multiMonitorSetup to this:

["multiMonitorSetup"] = "1camera",

 

This will reset the game back to the '1 Screen' profile. You can try other profiles and if they don't work you can reset it this way.

On a side note. You may want to consider upgrading that GPU to something with more Ram, 1G is cutting it close for the eye candy available now.

Absolutely, my 3GB 7950 is being used to the maximum in both RAM and clock speed!

I will also chip in and say that my GFX 560 Ti is doing quite adequate running at 50-70 fps flying on medium settings. I was very pleasantly surprised at that result since I get less performance (30-40ish) on 1.2 with the approximately the same graphic settings.

 

This is NOT a recommendation to go out and buy such an old video card. All I am trying to say is that don't let the minimum requirements for 1.5 scare you into not trying it at all. I admit that I delayed trying out 1.5 for that reason.

Same story for my ol' HD6570

 

I bought that thing like 2 or 3 years ago for 70 bucks for some basic usage in an old Pentium 4 build I had back at that time.

 

It started with Minecraft, continued to GTA IV and some other not-so-heavy games, and when I got a new PC with an i3 in it, I moved the card to that PC.

On that PC GTA IV continued and I started playing games like War Thunder and World of tanks.

I also started DCS on this machine, which ran at a mere 20ish fps

 

A few months ago that PC broke as a result of a blown PSU, and I built a new one.

And guess what...... Still using the same card

 

Running GTA V and DCS at good framerates.

 

Out of all parts that I've had failed, the only that I still have is my original 500gb WD drive I bought for my laptop 5 years ago, which is now in my PowerMac G5 and the HD6570.

 

I want to tell the devs, they did some serious good work on this game, it is amazingly well optimized and I'm stunned by it's performance!

How can i go to desktop while im in DCS? I can do that while im in menu, but not when im flying. For some reason i cannot do that anymore.

Hi, recently returned to DCS and loaded 1.5- it looks great but have two problems: Loading Mig 21 and Ka-50 Blackshark modules.

 

Mig module asked for reactivation and key number. This was done but it then went into a continuous Ok, not Ok loop which cost me a number of activations.

 

My Ka 50 install is BS-1 upgraded to BS-2. Installing to 1.5 appears to be unavailable.

 

These are my favorite aircraft in DCS, I have searched the other threads and know others have similar install fails.

 

Has anyone heard of an official response?

I'm asking this question because I'm a little confused. Will all the sceneries I purchase and planes I purchase for v1.26+ be upwards compatible with v 1.5 ?
